I can totally see a full focus on naval operations. Just acting as a stagging group for getting the random solo players to spawn on landing craft will be well worth it I bet.
Uhh... I mean it's the details that aren't trivial. When a soldier dies there is a 5%-10% chance that a Critically Wounded Soldier spawns which has 1 minute to be picked up. They can be carried by hand or by ambulance only. A medical building, Field Hospital being the most common has 6 beds for Critically Wounded Soldiers after 10 minutes the Critically Wounded Soldier the field hospital gains 4 soldier supplies which are the respawns for players when brought to any base.
It's funny seeing yourself in a video of the guy who got me into the game in the first place a year ago Drunkonhugs here, massive shoutout to Shack for supplying my FOB: Forward Observation Bush with ammo so I could keep sniping blueprints
I'm just getting back into Foxhole myself after a short break, but it's gonna be interesting to see how Naval warfare does affect the entire war now. It'll also be very cool to see big regiment and naval clans appear and face off against each other once the war progresses and ship construction begins!
The difficult part of naval combat is that the ships can't just be Vehicles, they have to be Vessels. They can't just be a sprite/model that replaces your avatar when you enter them. They need to be an entire map you can move around and interact with the hard points. Also they need to be destructible, as in they must sink (and take you down with them if you can't escape).
@@ArkhBaegor Aircraft Carriers are going to be a challenge too. They are going to figure out how to add a layer, make it a cloud layer to the top down shooter that also obfuscates surface positions.

I’m extremely excited for this update, Shack. Also it took James and I nearly an hour to load up that Destroyer you were using. And that was with Magic Boxes!
12:07 Funny enough I have that same idea as well, where you 'ascend' into a hex above the ground hexes, where air combat would play out like the old school top-down arcade games. For things like 'normal' bombing you'd have to 'descend' into a hex. High Altitude bombing would require a new type of intel to be 'scouted' beforehand via the air, somewhat like what actually happened during WWII when they were picking targets? You would also have to limit the amount of planes per side in a hex to prevent players from swarming a hex with nothing to stop them. AA would be an issue, perhaps make it mostly automated? And have a certain level of RNG for the planes flying over the hex on damage? But would be more effective if a player was using it? That way you could make air raids work for both sides without leaving areas defenseless. You could also make a few planes be 'automated' as well for a QRF upon detection of an air raid, to prevent players from having got patrolling all the time. But then you'd have to make a limit on RNG to prevent spamming of AA to rig the odds. There is also the issue of ramming and z-axis because of the top-down gameplay. Perhaps making 'gear-like' levels of z-axis to lock certain levels of height into play? Really i can see why they aren't trying to make it work yet. Truly good air combat would be the final frontier for Foxhole.
cant believe while i was in the backline doing boring logi and digging while shack was out there doin fun stuff. I probably should of paid more attention and took part lol
Just speaking from what I’ve seen, those gunboats have been a game changer in taking the islands. Even coastal emplacements have been bombarded by the early-game mortars of the gunboats.
I would love to see a pocket suddenly appear behind enemy lines. Like taking a navy force deep into enemy territory and starting a satellite base on an island or coastline. If the defenders can hold it they could disrupt all sorts of forces from the front lines on that side of the map.
At 13:58 we can confirm we bring a lot of mammons and shirts. We are the monkeys logi with haulers going to operation. A coeur vaillant, Rhin d’impossible.
Considering how the last big update went with trains and factories, and how everyone and their mother was messing with the new stuff. I won't be surprised to see the same happening in this update, which will likely leave some front lines spread thin while everyone's trying to do navel operations. This will also change up future wars considerably requiring a sizable shift in global strategy, both offensive and defensive.
Have you heard of the new command and conquer game? It’s a combination of some of their biggest games and it looks amazing. The game is called Tempest rising and it will be released on steam soon
Last time I heard about Foxhole it was people complaining about how logi was so unfun to play, but that was awhile ago. Does anyone know how they fixed that?

Saw a bunch of reviews stating they have spys now... like people who get on alt accounts and destroy/lose tons of equipment to soften up their main factions battle... seems it's gotten far more toxic now then I last looked at buying it... suppose if it goes on sale for like 5 dollars I might get it, but likely wouldnt play it then regardless...
