I agree on the censorship it’s rlly dumb they’re appeasing to compulsive moaners,they’re taking away the little digs that made the game fun and unique and nostalgic.
Not ‘necessary’ at all. The original is kinda ‘perfect’ for me. HOWEVER, I am happy about it as it just gives me another excuse to 100% Dead Rising’s achievements which I’ve already done 4 times on different profiles. I’ll be excited to do it again and enjoy what I’m given.
First and foremost, whilst it goes above and beyond the usual scope of a remaster, it is still very much a remaster. New visuals, slightly tweaked mechanics, different voice actors, yes but not a full blown remake. The game still plays the same in the footage, the cutscenes are the same, the story is still the same. This is legitimately Dead Rising as made by the latest technology. Honestly, naysayers are acting as if this is a whole new game. It is really not. Okay, yes, there has been a change to the butcher. A minor character who is in the game for 15 mins at most unless he keeps killing you. Bloke's still a butcher. Still a boss. Still a minor character. I'd lose my mind if it were the main characters, but its not. Honestly? This is necessary. If it fails, Dead Rising will be gone for good. If it does well, maybe we'll see the others remastered.
@@A9Four I honestly don't think it's censorship. If you look at RE engine they have to find people that look like that actors. They can put in all objects from the real world and put them in games. It's probably very difficult to find a person who looks like that in Japan or where they find actors. Issue is capcom won't say the reason because it's just like the change in franks voice. If they comment on it than people will just be more upset. Even if there is a legit reason for it. The game will speak for itself is what I think capcom thinks. Example in dead rising 4 there was a voice actor guild protesting going on. So we didn't get the same voice actor. They wrote it off as we wanted a more mature frank. Sometimes saying the legit thing like we didn't have time to put him in due to it being made in such a short amount of time. They wasted all development time on prototype. They fired lead and Microsoft devs took over killing the franchise. I rather have the franchise back at the end of the day. Just like silent hill people spend all their time complaining about games. When we finally get something coming back. People find every reason to not support and franchise will die again. I have seen it time and time again. People miss old gaming and this is old game with quality of life. You can't win for losing with gamers. Everything is trash in their eyes before we even get to play it.
I think it is necessary. Capcom wants to see if there’s still interest in the series, why would they put out DR5 when it’d be significantly cheaper to remaster an old one
That's understandable, but with how gaming is being censored and dumbed down, and all AAA studios have a habit of releasing unfinished games that are buggy and unplayable. It's hard not to be cynical sometimes
this is a quote from the games Director Ryosuke Murai "Well... actually, it would't be an exaggeration to call this game a remake considering the work we put into it"
@@A9Fourwell yeah, because of the effort put into to, it’s literally a remaster, no tweaks to story’s, no different main protagonists or enemies! So it’s just a remaster :)

Gore is good in the remaster
I much rather the remaster all around around

100%
This is my exact same take. The OG is perfect. It’ll never be dethroned but I’m still gonna play the hell out of the remaster.

Any form of censorship is still censorship, regardless of its size.

Remaster=/=Remake. Learn that first

@@kimberlyPerthRe1 remake is mostly the same game with some tweaks here and there and still a remake.
