August 2019, Davangere-Birur Section, South Western Railway
Ninth video for my Train Sounds series - this was shot on the Davangere - Birur section during my journey in the Chalukya Express. The delayed Monsoon was in full fury and we got to see some beautiful sights. The train breezed through rainstorm after rainstorm as the Deccan Plateau received its bounty for the year.
Video recorded on a Panasonic FZ1000, audio recorded on Zoom H1n.

Thank you. KR I've already done on Mangalore - Madgaon section saar. 😊 It is very difficult to do the same in Madgaon - Mumbai direction because the trains are much more crowded and noisy.
@@dheerajrao Yes. But Western Zone Trains are more comfortable than others.
KCVL PBR, TEN JAM are best trains for MAO PNVL section. You can record the videos easily and smoothly without crowd.

I lived in india for 4 years and i literally loved indian railway. Once i was travelling in sleeper from GKP to MAS raptisagar exp in a 3 days journey, my seat was the second last 71 or 72 the side lower in sleeper and at around midnight i saw a young guy like me sleeping near the toilet, i felt really sorry for him and asked him to share the seat with me and he was sitting in the side and me on the other side, later after 30 min a police came and woke me up and asked the guy to go back near the toilet and sleep and asked me to leave the seat, thankfully i went to my friend seat(upper), after that the train reached another station around 2 am and then the police got out and gave the seat to the wife and daughter of the other police, i was forced to abandon my seat. And later around 6 am they also went out and then i returned to my seat. That was something i could not understand why people in india don't complain about the bully nature of the RPF. To be frank i am scared by the police then the robber in india. Its not that i have not seen robbery in train i have seen that to a man snacthed chain from my mother's neck and still i was okay with that compared to that of the police act. Police frightens me in India.
Believe me, I have travelled 7million kms in IR in Indian rail in last 40 years, first time ever I heard such thing. They are rude and non professional, but never heard of such case. Any way, sorry from India.

I'd love to find out more about how you shoot your videos, how you use your GoPro and also how you record the audio - your quality is much better than many others who seem to just record the gushing wind mostly.
Thanks, this was shot on a bridge camera with audio recorded separately on a Zoom H1n microphone, and synced in post.

Because I do not want to spend my entire journey focusing on shooting videos. I also need to enjoy the journey by just watching the scenery pass by. I don't get to travel in trains much so I cannot spend that little time doing things for RUclips.
