To be honest the reason i buy assortment packs is to limit my spending otherwise what think is 40$ turns in to 80 and then i add a few more and well you know.... my go to is a box of excaliburs and the 50$ assortment box. And 1 or 2 cakes.
McLOVIN my parents hate fireworks so we usually don’t spend much. They think of it as a waste of money. That’s mostly the reason we’re too limited. Also, living in Illinois sucks. Fireworks are hard to come by in Chicago. At least in my neighborhood
The value is fine, but I feel like I could get a lot more cool stuff with $40 if I picked stuff out myself. Assortments are kind of for the newbies and the kids.
Leaked Music Plug it depend what you get from there I got the new centennial fountain small one best $12.00 I every waste on a fountain next year I’m getting 5 of them

I buy cheap assortment from the outlet in my town year round just to blow off for fun. Believe it or not, every now and then I am suprised at how cool some of those little guys are. They had a deal where if you bough a 40 dollar assortment you got a free 200 gram cake.
Only when purchased at wholesale, and find a location that does case pricing by the piece, and if you can go on demo night usually great deals on day of demo, that's Gangsta Pyro right there
“do you just not want to go up and down the aisles hand-picking” fireworks? 😢😢😢 i wish i lived somewhere where there were aisles and aisles of fireworks. That 48-shot Color Pearl alone would cost at least $40 here on the black market.
@Red Fox Pyro on the low side if you want the good stuff the cheap ones are questionable due to we don't know how long they had it in storage and the way they stored it it's a very hit and miss for some of us
i am really liking the new style of videos its nice to see assortments for a change in california everyone always just gets them and gets one bigger one
Depends on the assortment and the price. I tend to gravitate towards the same fireworks when browsing the shelves, so if I can nab an assortment on a good deal it gives me an opportunity to try some new stuff out.
I love your videos keep it up dude I love fireworks but where I live is illegal in Spokane wa so that sucks but whenever I go one vacation I spend all my money on fireworks. Also this is a great tip for fireworks shopping
#BBQRando loves assortments...budget has a lot to do with it and in Arizona there are no retail stores but only seasonal tents. 🧨🚀💣💥 all Safe and Sane! Assortments are like going to a buffet, little bit of everything.
me realizing he underrated* ima jus subscribe bc fr ppl it takes one second one second to make him happy being generous also can make u feel better too so its a win win so why not
Every time I do a road trip to North Carolina or something like that, I always pick up some fireworks. Didn’t think assortment packs had this much variety. I usually browse around and spend $100-150, I think looking around is more fun lol
Nice Assortments. Those Happys aren't pretty bad for their size. Dominator makes them too. Its a nice little thing for the kids if you wanna start them really small on cakes and you aren't ready to give them the bigger stuff yet.
Honestly the lower you go in the assortment boxes it’s like more kid friendly the more you pay is like the rockets and cannons etc so it’s all based on wat u want
@CodyBPyrotechnics When you buy those assortment packs you should try and put them on a launch pad and fused together and try to make tiny shows like you have done in other videos. Just a thought. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
15:00 "Nothing to Insane" I have been looking for a name for aerial fireworks that only fly 50 feet with star and low sound whooshing reports. I like to have a 500 garm cake with 400 those shells. Also those 4oz rockets hit hard for there size.
I'll always be a sucker for assortments. Usually Ill buy an assortment and save it for throughout the year. Sometimes its nice to just set off some sparklers or small fountains in October but not piss off my stuffy neighbors. For a 4th show however, I always tell people to keep assortments 50% of your budget or less. Half on an assortment for a base, and then the other 50% on finale and supporting fireworks.
Here in Canada you cannot get firecrackers or anything just blatantly explosive, it pretty much has to shoot if its gonna blow up. A $40 CAD assortment is 10 pieces. 2 Roman candles, 3 cracking/popping mines 2 screetching things 2 air bombs and a pack of tanzanian devils. I'm jealous of you guys and your awesome fireworks.
I remember a tnt fountain I was impressed with, thunk it was called zombie I believe. About half through its run time it would die out. But then come back to life n finish its show. Loves it but haven't seen it since
I usually buy mines a month before the 4th because the prices go up when it gets closer. And I buy the big stuff then buy little stuff when getting closer
Totally agree with the assumed value technique! Cause there are other assortments in the big chain stores that are not worth the $$. Like am cake assortment with maybe 6 cakes would be almost $170 bucks which means each cake would be about $28-$30 a piece. The problem with that is, that’s the same price there on the shelf for. So where’s the bargain here people?!??!?! lol 😂 😆. This wmd assortment is definitely a good buy tho!
Great video - sometimes its worth it on the smaller ones if you just wanna have a quiet fun time with some drinks without bothering the neighbors... too much ;)
Me personally I like to buy the fireworks over the assortments mostly because I dont light off many fountains and small things. But for $40 definitely a good deal for variety.
Twitter Glitter is essentially a color pearls cake with added whistles. Toot N Twirl shoots up spinners w/ color spray or bursts. The OG was 19 shots, but the smaller 7 version shows up in a lot of assortment packs. It's now a generic item, and many factories make it- so it's hard to say exactly what a given example will do. Tbh, that bag looks pretty good for $40, If I were looking for something like that, I'd pick it up. It has a good variety of items. and, as we all know-$40 goes FAST when you're buying the high end stuff. My take on assortments: They're for just the sort of customer you pointed out- someone who just wants a bag/box o stuff to play with. Maybe they've got some kids to amuse, maybe they're newbies to the hobby; maybe they just aren't picky, etc. Pyros like me get them for itch sctratchers- to keep our grubby mitts out of our stash, lol. My bottom line is: Do I want what's in the box? if yes, it may go home with me. The older I get, the more I appreciate the smaller backyarder type items. Just depends on what sort of fireworks you want to get. 500g cakes and canister shells are great- but not a good choice for the city/suburbanite intending to light them in their driveway or back yard for example. I agree with you on relative value. Been doing it all along without even thinking about it, lol. Don't drive yourself crazy getting all anal retentive about it, but you can usually get a good idea of how it compares with off the shelf items. Unless you're at a big box store, convenience store etc, the same stand or tent will sell "similar" items by themselves.
This is why when you are a kid, ok this is a story about me, and your dad spends 40 or 60 bucks he honestly doesn't have. But does it any way you are still left with wanting more and let down. Well bc you're a kid and don't realize costs. As you watch the neighborhood come alive. So now. That I have some cash to spend. I hate I hate these kits. I know what I'm gonna get no matter how much marketing is on the package. It's crap. My mom is still impressed lol. Dad passed away in 04 never got to see me buy my own fireworks that are actually fireworks. He'd love it. Be safe everyone! Happy 4th of July!
(PLEASE READ WHOLE THING BEFORE REPLYING) I have my own assume value. I guestamate what each firework is worth. Then add it up and see what the total is. If its bigger than the assortment cost I will get it if I want the product in it. 1 thing though, the bigger assortments are worse deals because if you spend all that usually you will get stuff thrown in for free. But if you buy the assortment. Sometimes you don't get stuff thrown in from buy assortments. Also the more u spend usually they can lower the price, like if its $600 of value they could go $500. I like the smaller assortments like the backpacks and small buckets. The price range for assortments I stay in is $15-$40. The reason is the stuff in the bigger assortments are a scam most of the time. They put rinky dink cakes that seem big or seem good but there like happy. And the fountains are small, they sometimes even put like cardboard and Styrofoam out of sign in it so it seems bigger. Not all assortments are bad but ive seem some big rip offs. And the assortments that do have great product are usually WAY over priced. I've found some good ones. I like the little assortments also cause they last a while and are cheaper than buying the stuff by itself. All novelty fireworks are fun, you cant go wrong or get to much. Especially if you get like a small backpack for like $15-$25 (I can get for 15 I've seen for $25, all depends on what place your shopping at) and like a nice big hard hitting 200 gram cake. Like a pyro king thing or happy clown bomb, lion soul, crazy exiting. Those are just some examples. Your total can be like $40 dollars and that's like half an hour to an hour of fun. Plus a nice little finally. Of course the more you spend to more variety you get. I spend more than $40 so I get lots of cakes and lots of little stuff. But Its a great deal. You don't need to spend a fortune to enjoy fireworks. And if you can spend $50 you can add a pack of roman candles with reports and maybe some sparklers or 25 shot saturn missles.
