I think Veronica Lindbergh is such a wonderful designer, I love her vlogs also. I am in the process of making the Arctic Light, and I’m loving it so far. Yours has turned out beautifully.Thank you for sharing ❤ oh it’s cuddles toys in Britain 😊x
I love listening to you talking and questioning english pronounciation and sentence syntax😂 You are correct. English is very odd! Much love from Shetland x❤x Ps 'What's on the nail' could be a feature of your podcast 😅
I like the long episodes. Myoo-zish-un x Thankful and grateful are two sides of the same emotion, I think. Thanks emphasises the external face of that feeling (something you express to others as in ‘I thank you so much’) whereas gratitude emphasises what you feel inside (as in, ‘my heart swells with gratitude’).
what a great idea to knit the sleeves after splitting for them and before finishing the rest of the sweater! your Arctic Light sweater is GORGEOUS and looks really good on you.
Hi Sarah, I love your podcasts and look forward to a new one each Monday. I love seeing all of your beautiful knits and am always impressed by how much you get done. You are an inspiration! Your English is delightful. Don't worry about the language, we understand you completely. To answer some of your questions: knitting packages are kits; children play with building blocks; and stuffed animals are commonly called stuffies. Greetings from Virginia in the USA.
I have made this pattern twice, I also really enjoyed making them . Veronica is very good at explaining how to make it, she gave me so much confidence in my knitting abilities. It was so nice to see someone else who had made it too.
The Artic Sweater turned out beautifully 😍 Your daughter might have to hide it away 😂 I know you like your browns 🤎, but i think you need a light coloured sweater in your life, the colour does look great on you Sarah (marzipan)
I totally understand about feeling like you can’t do something. I went to a knitting group with a friend who was an excellent knitter. I would see patterns that I wanted to try and I would ask her, “do you think I could do that?” She immediately answered “NO”. So I’ve always hesitated doing difficult patterns because I heard her in my head. Now I realize what a disservice she did to me because if I hadn’t heard that I would have tried more things. I have made several sweaters but none that were heart-jumping yet. I’m still working on it. Loved this episode ❤ Thankful and grateful are interchangeable - they mean the same thing. Like I am thankful for your podcast and grateful you are there.
I follow Kika and love to see her sweater on you! I love the knitters network, it is amazing the connection! ❤ Congratulations, it is beautiful and it looks great on you, although it is your daughter’s 😊
You could put snaps on your sweater in between the buttons. You may be able to find snaps that are brown, so they won’t show when your sweater is unbuttoned.
So happy to see you here today. Tuesday is a great day when I can watch your podcast. Mewz-i-shun for musician. :-) And I think it was fitting that you offered a pair of socks for the gift of a guitar. I think that is the right thing to do in this instance. what a joy to see how happy he was. thatmakes it all worthwhile. He never hesitated to get your daughter a guitar so he deserves them and dk is so much quicker to knit. The sweater on the nail is amazing and beautiful. Kika is an amazing designer. I didn't realise at first how talented she was and the designs are all so complex! She's amazing. I can't imagine owning one though in my country, and my city, it would be very very hot to have something that thick. I would boil like a pot of water on the stove hahahahaha I am absolutely not 'mohairy' either and I KNOW I will never be! It's fuzzy, it ends up all over everything, it's TOO warm for Australia and I haven't found one that's soft enough either. I think the green in your cardigan really comes out (shows well) with that skirt so good choice. Could you block seriously the cardigan to stretch it larger? I'd try that first before pulling it apart? I wear my cardigans open, with sometimes the top button done up so I always only put 3 buttons on my cardigans. And even though the sweater for your daughter is light it does suit you. I think you DO have to make one for yourself. :-) yes, building BLOCKS. L xx
Afternoon, Sarah 👋Lovely to hear your news see your progress.Dont know where you were last week but never fear, the interloper has departed until next Carnivale😅Have a lovely week and enjoy going outside of your comfort zone...good for all of us to do that sometimes. Its heart- jumpingly sunny☀️ in Melbourne this afternoon.Hope you get some early Spring signs too soon.🌱🤞♥️🐨🌏xx
So inspiring Sarah!! Thank you for the life lesson on doing hard things and just do them and fail then learn then do them again till you get it. ❤ I needed to hear that for other parts of my life too!! God bless
Try putting little hooks and eyes closers in between your buttons. Small ones are hard to notice when open. Your daughter's new sweater is lovely. Lucky girl. Thanks for your happy updates
Love watching your podcasts to see all the beautiful sweaters in knitting and crochet that you make. It really is motivating me to make more sweaters. I loved to make stuffies for my grandchildren but now they are grown older. I started out taking courses from Susan B Anderson. Her kits are very good and she gives great instructions. Thank-you and have a great week!!
Your daughter's sweater is stunning! It was very helpful for me when you said alpaca yarn is slippery. The first thing I ever tried to knit was the Beginners Jacket by Petit Knit, and I almost cried. All the yarn kept falling off my needles and it was a mess. I cannot tell you how said I was. I now have wooden needles and wooly wool 🥰. I really thought it was just me. Thank you! Happy knitting 💚🧶💚
My heart jumps when I see you post a new podcast. I have purchased the Arctic Light pattern and was waiting on your review…I’m excited to cast it on. Kika is so kind with sharing her pattern tutorials that I love supporting her talent. Hope you have a wonderful week from🇨🇦
What a beautiful sweater- the cream suits you so much Sarah- how lovely to match your daughter?!! Thank you always for cheering up my mornings… incidentally your grammar is excellent- every time you doubted yourself you were correct. 👍🏻
Oh Sarah the Arctic Light sweater is truly heart jumping! I’ve never knit a cabled sweater, you’ve inspired me to make this. Also the colour is beautiful on you ❤
In the England I grew up we had cuddly toys. American English uses stuffies, which is new to me. Good luck with Nanna. I'll be curious to know how stuffing goes through the tiny hole that is left, for the sheep it is a big challenge! Perhaps it doesn't help to knit a very tight fabric, but I did that for longevity and to prevent stuffing from being visible. Thankful and grateful are synonyms.
Button band are a big challenge for me as well. I like your idea of working out the plan with your new project and then maybe "fixing" the sock cardigan one will seem so straight forward by then. For the knitted animals, I felt the same way about them at first because I have been so disappointed with any small ones I have made crochet. But I really wanted the sheep and duck from that book for some reason so I got the book and knit the sheep and I am so glad that I did! The instructions in the book are really good they even tell you where to put a marker (tie a string) for eye placement. My embroidery for the nose and mouth is a bit wonky and Agi the sheep is still missing her coat, but I made here a dress with scraps and she is now a well-traveled sheep--she came to Rhinebeck and was a star 😂. (I agree, "stuffed animal " does not sound like a good name for them). Good luck and have fun!
LisaR: Hi ! " Kit" is the word in English for a package including materials to complete a project ...❤ hope this is word you wanted . Ps - I never thought about it before ... "Stuffed animal ?" It sounds the opposite of cuddly ! People say " Stuffy " a lot now to describe it ❤
Hello Sarah, I suggest to add some stitches to the button band of your sock cardigan, perhaps just a large icord ? Add button holes there and sew the old ones closed. I added this cardigan to my wish list as I find it very beautiful. There is something weird in the underarm of the Artic sweater preventing me from knitting it, isn't the raglan too short, or in the wrong place ?
The sweater for your daughter turned out so beautiful, Sarah! It’s not that I’m not interested in more of your content to become a member, I just can’t. My husband is retired and with my cancer in 2022 and then my husband’s stay in the hospital we have gone through much of our savings that we had intended on using for fun adventures with his retirement. I would absolutely love to join all of my favorite knit and crochet channels but I just can’t. Thank you Sarah so much for still making your Monday’s free for those of us who can not join. 🌸🌷🩷🌻
Thanks for your podcast! Yes, "stuffed animal" is correct, but we usually call them either a "plushy" or a "stuffy". I'm interested in the Knit Along, but I've searched using the description in your notes, but I can't find it. Do you have a link? That Arctic sweater is gorgeous!!!
Lovely episode, thank you 😍 Pronunciation tips, to help, not be critical ☺️ The sound of horizon is different to horeezontal. Forgivable yarn means you could forgive it. Forgiving yarn means it can forgive you (or your dancing stitches 😂)
I love listening to you talk with your accent. I’m in Australia so we have our own version of English. I would love to make the Ariana cardigan or jumper but I don’t knit. Can you make it if you only crochet?
The cabled jumper is very beautiful. I don’t like mohair either. It makes me itchy, and I always miss strands when knitting with yarns held double, so I prefer to knit with one strand. Maybe you could add some snaps in the spaces between the buttons on your Sock cardigan. 🤎 PS - Cuddly toy might be nicer than stuffed animal, but I like your word better. Also the package with everything you need is a Kit. I am halfway through Bunny Odile from that book, and no sewing pieces together!
Button band- instead of reknitting you can add a snap in between the buttons or a snap band to replace the buttons. This will hold it smooth.
I think Veronica Lindbergh is such a wonderful designer, I love her vlogs also. I am in the process of making the Arctic Light, and I’m loving it so far. Yours has turned out beautifully.Thank you for sharing ❤ oh it’s cuddles toys in Britain 😊x

@verylikecheryl. Loved the way you explained this. I'm not sure, but I think stuffies is a rather American term. I know them as soft toys.
what a great idea to knit the sleeves after splitting for them and before finishing the rest of the sweater! your Arctic Light sweater is GORGEOUS and looks really good on you.

Thank you from Germany I appreciate to improve my English as well:))
I LOVE your longer, “heart-jumping” episodes, especially the nail! You’re just adorable.
I love the cardigan sweater it’s beautiful! Also the sweater you made your daughter! Absolutely stunning!
Sarah I love your encouragement...thanks you
I have made this pattern twice, I also really enjoyed making them . Veronica is very good at explaining how to make it, she gave me so much confidence in my knitting abilities. It was so nice to see someone else who had made it too.
I am half way through mine, and I am loving it so far 😊
It gets easier as you go along
The Artic Sweater turned out beautifully 😍 Your daughter might have to hide it away 😂
I know you like your browns 🤎, but i think you need a light coloured sweater in your life, the colour does look great on you Sarah (marzipan)
I love the cable sweater. I also use a highlighter to colour in the rows of charts.
Thanks for another great episode ❤.
Thank you Sarah. The sweater for your daughter is beautiful. I just love listening to you and admire your perseverance with our tricky language. 🇬🇧
The Arctic Light sweater is beautiful!

Regarding the cardigan you're wearing, maybe just add hidden snaps in between the buttons
I follow Kika and love to see her sweater on you! I love the knitters network, it is amazing the connection! ❤

You crack me up so funny snaps, snaps and more snaps. I hate button holes. So I put snaps for closing but put some decorative buttons If I must
Hi Sarah, in Australia we sometimes call them cuddly toys 💖
Hello Sarah how about using snap buttons between the buttons on the sock cardigan?
Snap buttons will definitely solve your problem. 😊
I think you might have to knit yourself an Artic light sweater. It looks beautiful on you Sarah.

Loved your episode. I’ve just made Mouche and I can’t wait to see you making Nana the duck. The animals are really special aren’t they!
The child sweather would be so cute with flowers witn the green grass in the bottom
So inspiring Sarah!! Thank you for the life lesson on doing hard things and just do them and fail then learn then do them again till you get it. ❤ I needed to hear that for other parts of my life too!! God bless
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for your encouragement!! You truly are a lovely person 💗
Beautiful sweater for your daughter. She is very loved and lucky.
You inspired me to put a nail in my wall just now 😂 thank you for bringing me a smile. Love from across the world in Alaska.

You are so funny Sarah, it's another very entertaining episode, thank you. 😊
lol I like talking too. I’ve been told “words are my love language.” Maybe that’s true for you too Sarah! 💗

Thanks for your lovely podcast. The sweater you made for your daughter fits you very well :)
Love your daughter’s sweater and the nail great idea. The package in the KAL is called a kit.
I love your busy sweater with the busy skirt!
We call stuffed animals 'cuddly toys' here in Yorkshire, England ❤
LisaR: Hi ! " Kit" is the word in English for a package including materials to complete a project ...❤ hope this is word you wanted . Ps - I never thought about it before ... "Stuffed animal ?" It sounds the opposite of cuddly ! People say " Stuffy " a lot now to describe it ❤

I also love rainy grey days, because you are allowed to be inside and knit. I do not love warm days🥴🥴
More IS more ❤ I love it too!
Lovely episode, thank you 😍 Pronunciation tips, to help, not be critical ☺️ The sound of horizon is different to horeezontal. Forgivable yarn means you could forgive it. Forgiving yarn means it can forgive you (or your dancing stitches 😂)
ON the nail! 😂😂😂. Yes, there! ❤
I love listening to you talk with your accent. I’m in Australia so we have our own version of English. I would love to make the Ariana cardigan or jumper but I don’t knit. Can you make it if you only crochet?
Warm hello from the Surrey countryside in England. ❤🧶❤️
Bonjour Sarah avec quel numéro de crochet utilisez-vous avec la laine Einband d'Istex merci
There is a way to do afterthought button holes
I like to make socks for people. If someone asks I say OK, but it might take 3 years.
And what hash tag for the knit-along ?😊
I think it is #knuffelkal ?
On the Nail..
Musician just say the 'c' like a 's'
Maybe the 'c' like an 'sh'? Maybe? Xxx

Oh what a beautiful Ariana sweater you are doing, really lovely 🥰 You have a talent to crochet great things 👍
