The tone and the thickness of your sound is really incredible. It demonstrates the dark and mysterious side of the clarinet that we cant normally find...its so beautiful! what clarinet did u use? it seems the neck is different. will that help making the sound thicker and round.
+Alfred Ka Yiu LI Thank you so much Alfred!! In this performance, I'm using Buffet R-13 Prestige with Backun barrel. As for the sound of the clarinet or in any instrument, I believe that it is like our human voice...everyone has it and the sounds that come out of our instrument depends on what we want to say. Good equipments surely help to make the instrument sound good...but I believe the magic happens when you can find your own voice through your instrument. :)
I am a trombone player, so I have no idea about anything woodwind, but I do think that more air would allow you to have a thicker tone. It is true for all brass instruments, however.
Yes, I agree. Eric Clapton had to borrow an amp to perform with Joe Bonamassa at Albert Hall, and Joe B said Clapton still sounded like Clapton regardless of the equipment. I think you have to connect with the music, with some picture or something that lets you give the piece your own personal color.
