I remember seeing a very small picture of Deep Purple in a 1984 sports magazine (imported from Hungary). I carefully cut it out and put it in my wallet. Now it is still there. In that magazine, there was an article on a new DP album! I started waiting... Finally, I got it on a cassette! Family, friends, school... ceased to exist the moment I played the tape... Have loved Peep Purple all my entire life! At 55, I play drums in a classic rock band. Mr Paice is a real master! Probably, one of the main reasons I took up drums. Thank you!!!
Genius is TOO milder word to describe Ritchie Blackmore's guitaring .There have ,since the 1960's guitar heroes .Guitarists who can make your spine tingle ,when they play .Feel 'high as a kite ' . Every good feeling .Ritchie has always been a helluva guitar player .THE greatest of ALL time (no disrespecting page .clapton.young .slash .Hendrix etc,alli admire )
Saw this tour at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD. My and my buddies were all veteran concert goers and hobby musicians playing in local bands. At one point it was so loud that Jack to my left tore the filters off of a couple of cigs and stuffed them into his ears, TIm to my right was just standing there visibly vibrating with a stunned look on his face, and a few times it took a minute or so into a song before I could make out what they were playing - it was an oceanic wash of white noise at times. It was great.
One of ( if not the best ) Fender STRATOCASTER manipulator , without ever looking at the Fretboard ! ... Mr. Blackmore is a Musical Genius ! 🇺🇸♦️🇺🇸 🎸 ♦️
Been huge fan of deep purple since mid 1970's This is THE best line up if the. Band .Great to see them back together. for the 1984 'perfect strangers 'album (which is THE greatest rock band comeback album of all time )The like new single ,by current line up ,"sliding door ' it incredible
