"Linux Ort" is one amazing teacher. Further, his Linux-Assistant package is every bit as good as he implies. It's certainly helpful, and he's right to recommend that any Linux user install it. The English is amazingly good in the videos, but the package could do with a spell-check ["separatly"] and a little something further, because there is at least a little in it that isn't clear - just due to translation issues, I think. But it's clear that there are a lot of people who decided years ago "I don't need Linux" who would likely reconsider if they simply viewed one or more of the creator's videos. "Five stars" - if that's the highest possible rating!

Thanks a lot for this very useful video.
I'm very new with LINUX, I've been trying MINT, UBUNTU but got issues with the wireless adapter and finally decided to install (successfully) DEBIAN 12.7.
I've installed two DE (GNOME and CINNAMON) and for now I've done all following your video and it makes me happy.
I'll be now able to install the applications I need and will make many progress.
    Very nice job 👍🙏🙏🙏

If only there was a way to run Windows VM's with GPU passthrough, so many of us could make the transition to Linux without interrupting our much relied-upon Windows apps :(

I think Windows HyperV makes that posible but it only comes with windows pro or server

Really. Unattended upgrades on a desktop machine?

It depends. If computer goes to someone who want to use computer instead of playing with it (like my mother in law) it is perfect solution.

GNOME 47’s apps are already entering Debian 13(testing)’s main repository, and the kernel is at 6.10.9 as of now, so it’s looking like Debian 13 will bring the Debian desktop much more up-to-date when it launches next year - probably bringing many more users to Debian in the process.
