Sorry are you asking where to buy the screws or how to take them off ?....do you have a specific time in the video to aide my understanding of your request
@@sutsi can I ask you mate? my misses's wipers stopped working but you can hear the motor trying to move the blades, ive rung around garages and they all are quoting £600 plus which I cant afford so im going to try to fix it myself, the part is £600 on europarts but i can get one with linkage for £60 off Ebay, some mechanics said when i told them the price that the Ebay version would cause more problems because it has to be the exact model replacement, is this true or are they just after my money lol, also the linkage when i removed it is really hard to move by had so im wondering if its the linkage thats ceased up rather than the motor, should you be able to move it by hand? thanks
@@sycko80 so that's the first thing I did on mine...just smother the linkages with WD-40, leave it 24hrs and then see if it works. Due to design those linkages can get stiff and seize. Hopefully that works for you, as it'll be a more or less free fix If it does work, I suggest lubricating the linkages with the "WD-40 specialist" spray, it has a white silicone residue and is more resistant to moisture. In mine although the WD-40 did its job and I could hear the motor, I think it simply became too worn out and weak to move the linkages so needed replacement. If this doesn't fix it, you'll need to do what I did in my video. Euro car parts are a rip off. As you saw in my video, I got mine off a breaker car on eBay and it was tested with no problems & he even gave 30 day guarantee. Most sellers will be able to tell you if it is compatible and also there should be a part number showing where the wiper motor is to double check. This is defo one you can do at home.
Hello, Love the video, I’m after some help please, my windscreen motor is broken and I’m struggling to fix it as I don’t have the funds to pay a mechanic to fix it… Does the same go for a 2005 Renault Clio?
Brother mine had the same issue and I changed everything, the new motor works and the mechanism also works but when I put the wiper blades on it’s not able to move it? U know the reason for this
Could be a number of reasons: 1) check that once the blades are on...the extra weight doesn't cause the mechanism to be obstructed 2) try lubricating the mechanisms with wd-40 specialist spray (not the standard WD-40) as it maybe slightly stiff. 3) it maybe that the mechanism motor you have put in isn't strong enough and therefore faulty
Check the bushes on pivots for the linkage just fixed one of the bushes had seized due to water ingress took them off clean and grease, problem solved and this was on a clio 2016 model
i have a 2008 Renault Clio MK2 i might need to change something on mine, the motor works perfectly on the intermittent and auto but then on the fast mode it doesn't work at all. Will i have to just change the motor to fix the issue or is there another fix that somebody knows of?
I was thinking of just changing the motor on my one..but as the price of the whole unit was cheap just less headache and thought worthwhile to change the whole thing
@@sutsi oh okay man, I was thinking it could be a fuse but if i get a new motor and then if there is still a problem ill check the fuse and then atleast i have a new motor and fuse :)
@@OGfreed since the fuse is cheaper best to do that first....but I doubt it's that since if the fuse goes you shouldn't be getting any movement at any speed
Hi where do I find the wiper fuse on a Renault clio 2014 ,had the linkage and motor replacement in 2021 ,its gone again put new one on and still it's not working .Was going slow across the windscreen before it eventually stopped .Cheers anyone that can give me so ideas
Thanks a lot man I got to do this myself. You know the screws for the top where do you get them from?
