    Absolutely love this breed. Our Icelandic is 13 1/2 years old and when I tell people his age they can’t believe it because he is still so spunky and full of life!

    Very interesting to watch them herd! I've only seen my Icie herd my cat back into the house (I'm not on a farm) and he does a very good job of it :)

    Lovely dog ; probably hard to obtain one in USA
    I imagine this is a healthy breed

    Wait, I read these dogs were not good for families with small children, as they would try to herd the children. I want to see a video of that. 😅😂😅😂

      They are great with kids. Nothing upsets them. They love every critter, although they will chase rabbits, squirrels, and birds. They don't want to attack them, though...And they bark while chasing them, so they will never catch one, because they are heard long before they get close.

      My best friend had one when I was a child, so I pretty much grew up with one. My memory from a child's point of view was that while he was very cuddly he demanded quite a bit of respect. He never bit us but he would definitely let us know when we were out of line. Ultimately I think it taught me a lot about animals but I don't agree that nothing upsets them.
