I love the feeling when Toothless put his snout on Hiccup's hand, everything suddenly became so quiet, no sound was made in the audience, the moment seems so sacred that everybody wants to savor every bits of it :) One of the best movies I have ever seen :) including HTTYD 2
The first time I remember watching this was in theatres back in 2010 when I was 4 and i didn't really understand it but I liked it and now looking back I love it even more
thanks for posting this. you had better seats than i. we were way up and couldn't see the choir behind the screen. such a rare track to hear live. i hope folks focused on the musicians (and composer in attendance) bringing this wonderful sound to us live and not so much on the visuals (which you can watch at home).
I was at this and I wasn’t aware they were going to play httyd. As you hear everyone laughing I was crying like a little b, I remember I even looked at my mom after and was like do you think anyone can tell I was crying lol.
It’s really a shame there is not a clearer video of this performance (and without the laughing). It sounds like the best version of the song (other than the original soundtrack score).
Me after sobbing at a tribute: why WHY! Do you do this to yourself?!!!! That’s it! Stop with the HTTYD content. You’ve been in this phase for 4 months now. Time to sta- This video: Me: screw it im watching.
Why does the amazing stuff always happen in america (I mean like filmscores being conducted this awesome as this one.......). Hollywood in Vienna looks so lame compared to this...... :D
Krakow Film Music Festival is answer to your question. Now it's one of biggest events entirely dedicated to film music, concerts, screenings of movies with scores performed live, challenges, lectures doing by composers and lot of other stuff dedicated to film music.
It would be a dream come true if I saw this score being conducted live.
Ohh yes... definitely.
Yup.
Saw it this weekend in Switzerland. I had permanent goosebumps!

Oh yes.. that was my childhood too. I'm really miss that part..

Every time I watch this scene in httyd I no joke cry cause I’m so happy and it’s so beautiful x this score is amazing xx
I always found that the most beutifull moments are those of connection and the sadest those of seperation. Both make me cry.
Still my favorite scene and score in cinema
Tears come to my eyes every single time I listen to this song, it's so precious...
This song makes me cry and it’s my favorite

I always try not to cry at that scene now after watching the final movie Caus I know how far it’s come. I love httyd and it will live on forever.

It’s really a shame there is not a clearer video of this performance (and without the laughing). It sounds like the best version of the song (other than the original soundtrack score).
wow Es el unico video de una orquesta sinfonica interpretando esa canción, me encanta.
Ojala hubiera un video mas cerca, de los músicos y el coro

In Vienna, they do have a lot of the Williams scores live in concert, and let me tell you, star wars live in concert was sooo amazing!!!
good
Woah it’s the theatre from bugs bunny!
It's a standard bandshell.
