This is a brilliant piece of music, all 19 minutes 44 seconds of it. It's a shame it's so unknown. It's the most enigmatic piece of music I know. I love the way the different themes keep returning throughout the piece just when you least expect it. I personally call that segment that runs from 1:42 to 2:01 "Toy Robot" because it conjures that image up in my mind!
JUST LISTENED TO THIS AFTER A LONG, LONG TIME. I bought the album when it came out in 1991. This instrumental is the most bizarre in his canon. It's like he deliberately goes out of his was to sound strange. Some of it is lovely and some of it is like a computer game gone crazy! He was telling Virgin to piss off on this record. Even the name change to 'Michael Oldfield' and the strange mix with guitars being too loud says it all. TBII over a year later was an entirely different story.
Yes! Yes! SWEET!! I heard it distinctly at the very end, circa 7:24-7:25. The rumors are true!!! Nice work Mike, standing up to that douchebag Branson at Virgin records.
I am a big fun of Mike Oldfield by seriously, this piece is the worst music he has ever created. For those of you that type praises for this piece, please read about history of it's making. It is sh*t and it was to be.
Az egyik legkedvesebb Oldfield számom! Szerintem több is volt benne! Ez a szám is bizonyítja!
Siempre misteriosa esta pieza.

@ZombieCobain I heard nothing such at 7.24 - 7.25? It must has been said in a very quite manner.
@ZombieCobain YEA SWEET BABY
En su momento no me gustó nada, pero a medida que la escucho le voy cogiendo el tranquillo. Y la melodía al piano es excelsa.
Must be a different version. This segment ends on the original album around 8:21, and no voice can be heard on it.
