Ok so I just made this as a gift, and I love it so much!!! I did 72 stitches instead of 68, because I only had 5mm and 6mm hooks, so did 5 on the brim and 6 on the beanie part(I also crochet tight) and it came out perfect! Used I love this COTTON yarn, and literally running to hobby lobby to get more colors to make more!!! Thank you!!
I have been using this pattern for a couple years now as gifts for friends and family! I always get so many compliments on the one I made for myself. It’s such a wonderful design! Thank you so much for sharing it.
Beautiful and patient teacher. This my 1st slouch hat and it came out beautiful. I wish I could show you. Kudos to you again. Thank you so much. Vivian Ferguson
I absolutely loved executing this pattern! Thank you so much for making it available! I love almost any pattern that incorporates the "Camel Stitch" lol. Looking forward to joining the Facebook group😁😁
Hi! Just curious if I do a chain to begin instead of FDC's, should I chain an even or odd number? And if even, you it be even number of chains +2? I really love this pattern and can't wait to make it! Thanks in advance!
Hi Rebecca, Hmmm...it worked for me? You can always try it and if it's to short you can add a repeat. I'll check the pattern when I get home. Thank you for watching!
Sorry didn't see this message earlier. I don't see why not, but the counts might be different. Can't hurt to try it. I haven't make it with that weight yet. Thank you for watching.
As a beginner, I didn't know how to do the foundation DC either, but there's a million tutorials on YT for it (personally, I thought the Fiber Flux one was the most helpful). Good luck!
Sorry to not have responded sooner. Busy with work. But YES you can do it that way as well. As mentioned in another comment it can be hard for beginners but you can see tutorials on it and yes Fiber Flux was the one I watched as well. This method allows for stretch at the bottom of the brim. Thank you for watching!

Hi there! I'm sure that would be fine. You want to have an even stitch. Good luck! I hope you enjoy the pattern & Thank you for watching!
After round 17, my hat only measures 7 inches, is that too short? If so what rounds should I use to increase to 8 inches? Thanks so much.

Can I use bulky (5) weight yarn for this pattern?

I'll be home in a few hours but it's past the material part towards the bottom.
