- The college basketball game between Stanford and Arizona State had an absolutely wild ending as the Cardinal stormed back from down 14 with three minutes left to stun Arizona State with a 71-70 victory. Arizona State seemed to put the game away throwing down a monster dunk with three minutes left to take a 69-55 lead. However, due to missed free throws and bad shot selection, Arizona State blew the lead and Stanford got it down to 70-69 with thirty seconds left. Then Arizona State was unable to score and Stanford got the rebound with ten seconds left. In the final seconds the ball got knocked away from the Stanford player's hands but somehow Stanford's James Keefe came up with the loose ball and made a wild game winner to beat the buzzer and cap off a wild comeback win for the Cardinal. Stanford finished the game on a 16-1 run to advance to the next round of the Pac 12 Tournament.

I love how in these tournaments teams act nuts to win because it’s their only chance to get into The field of 64. Really shows what team is better and that’s why I Love March
Its actually the round of 64
@@animecity9678 Field of 68
Or people have human emotions for the means of the game.. ?
@NolanEP Yea March Madness is actually as far from 'showing who the better team is' as it gets. Best of one is extremely non-competitive in basketball. Really for almost any form of competition best of 1 is a joke and should never be looked at with serious competitive merit.
It doesn't show which team is better at all. Best of one in basketball does the exact opposite, which is why we've seen countless playoff series in the NBA start 1-0 and then that team loses 4-1. Basketball is extremely random and has a ton of variance. One game doesn't say anything about either team in basketball. March Madness is for highlights and merchandising. It's brutally non-competitive.
I've never seen so many horrible shots that lead to offensive rebounds that led to points in my life
😂 I just watched the video and what you said was 💯
Oh no just wait.. March Madness is here
Straight up that was the ugliest college basketball I've ever seen. Stanford going to get slapped in the tournament lmao
Yes
Horrific basketball there. So many missed shots, missed free throws.
I haven't seen such a series of lucky bounces and rebounds in quite some time. Fate didn't want ASU to win.
Players that shoot 56%, 54% and 36% from the charity stripe didn't want ASU to win. That's all time atrocious.
More like piss poor game management. Bad basketball lost them the game not fate
Stanford outscorded ASU 16-1 after that dunk with 3:00 left. That's not just luck. ASU could've (and should've) milked the clock, especially with only 2:00 to go and up 10. ASU missed too many free throws and Stanford hit most of theirs when they went to the stripe. Sure, it was a bit lucky the guy was there to recover that stripped ball on the last possession but he was able to quickly get off a shot; that was good awareness. ASU didn't help themselves and Stanford was good enough to make them pay for their poor play
@@Jon.A.Scholt The multitude of long rebounds were luck though. Objectively speaking no other way to see it. 99 times out of 100 everything you said transpires but ASU still wins because the rebounds don't play out like this.
OMG. Trey. I just watched and came to type same exact words. Too funny. Now I won't type my comment as you stole my thunder. Even before the final strip that led to buzzer beater, the offensive rebounds were just pure luck to fall into their hands.
Wow, Stanford just kept chipping away. Some of the plays, they were so close to turning the ball over, but didn't. And ASU couldn't buy a basket at the end. Amazing finish!
As a U of A fan who wanted to beat ASU again, I’m a little sad but this was also hilarious
Tucson is a dump and nobody east of the Mississippi (which represents 2/3rds of USA) knows the difference between the two schools (ASU and UofA). 🤡
@@SS-th9wz it's just a game, don't be that toxic 🙄
@@SS-th9wz someone's team got sent home by Arizona University lmfaoooo cry about it
@@SS-th9wz So you arent east of the mississippi then?
@@SS-th9wz I like Tucson and the u of a campus is really beautiful. They also have a wonderful theater there that gets most major broadway tours coming through. I saw both Hamilton and wicked there recently. The college town is a lot like a mini Tempe and the rest of the city is just a slower paced Phoenix. All in all I’d give it a 7/10 a little something for everyone
Waiting for this one. I was one possession away from turning the game off. So glad I didn't.
'No lead is safe if you can't play defense' -Coach Orion, D3 Mighty Ducks
😂😂 Didn't expect a D3 line drop in this thread but it's true
This is why March Madness encompasses more than just the NCAA tournament. Two crappy teams that won't be anywhere near the tournament still produce memories for a lifetime.
It shouldn't even really be called a tournament since that implies that it has competitive merit, which best of one in basketball does not. Basketball is extremely random and has a ton of variance, which is why we've seen countless playoff series in the NBA start 1-0 and then that team loses 4-1. March Madness is for highlights and merchandising. It's brutally non-competitive.
@@derpderpin1568 or you could just as easily flip that around and say that nba gives too many games/chances for the overall more talented team to win so they don't have to play as hard in game 1....
Why does stanford play like that 😭 how asu allow that to happen 🤦
The fight of this team is insane. 16-1 run in 3 minutes😬
The offseason better be free throws only for ASU, that was sad
What a bad beat. Such a huge lead but minimal clock control. ASU kept wanting to play high tempo :/
They never had the ball. Stanford just fouled 100% of the time to keep possession.
L ASU! FUCK ASU GO BLUE
@@Sour129 People like you are why I never understand wolverweenie fans. Commenting random crap that has nothing to do with this video🤣🤣🤣
@@upbeatproductions7614 he’s still sour for what the Bruins did to them in the elite 8 last year. 😂
All 50 fans in attendance sure got their moneys worth..
Yep. Watch the UA game tomorrow, the stands will be packed.
The bank is open
A double bank for the win is a fitting way for this game to end
The March Madness started early! Let's go Stanford! 🥳🤙🏼👏🏼
Arizona State literally quit. Half of those shots were easy. ASU out there playing defense like James Harden.
u rong😏but funny🤣🙌😁✌😎
Funnier because James Harden went to ASU😂
Im pretty sure your local YMCA couldve held that lead
As an ASU fan, I was happy that ASU lost to Stanford because today UofA would have kicked ASU's butt. So Stanford saved them. I was there watching the game live. And about 3 minutes left in the game, there were chants of UofA, UofA in the arena. And I think it affected ASU.
It is because of the poor coaching that ASU lost. Right after the game, I left the T-Mobile arena and was on the strip. I met a few ASU player _ Luther Mohammed, Bobby Hurely Jr, and a few others. They were looking to eat. And by that time they had already over come their disgusting loss, as if it had never happened.
Bro wrote a soliloquy about wanting his team to lose. That’s being a true fan
Having life get in the way of something I always made time for, then stumbling upon this channel, has been amazing. Thank you for these videos, they keep me in the loop. Sometimes all I need is the quick recap.
Insane
How do you do that what an absolute choke job I didn’t even see the game either
LETS GOO STANFORD!!! BEAR DOWN UA 🐻⬇️
This is why we love college basketball! This James Keith dude up next. Couldn't help but notice the dude looks so smooth so poised!
DEFENSIVE REBOUNDS BABY!!!
If you look really carefully at 3:16 No. 2 on Arizona St. got a finger on the ball and it still went in lol
THE IDES OF MARCH!
I’m surprised wake and bc were not shown yet
I have seen maybe 6 buzzer beaters in the past 2 days this is crazy
I want to see a video compilation of the moments _before_ a buzzer header goes in. The silence can be deafening.
As an ASU fan, I'm used to this because it seems to happen all the time in every sport
Pure hustle on Stanford's part for the last 3 minutes.
This year's march madness will be full of upsets.. just so many good teams! With that said.. ASU's free throw sucked...
Rebound rebound rebound. That was literally their offense the last 3 minutes
It’s amazing that it only took one three to come back and the rest was all second chances points
Just in case I didn't tell you during college football season: I love your editing style and look forward to your uploads. I think you'll see significant subscriber growth over the course of the conference tournaments and Final Four.
Man, never seen so much loose ball luck. Badass lol
PSC Highlights is a great channel
I agree!
College basketball going insane rn
Sounds like the basketball gods are still punishing ASU from the betting scandal lol
unbelievable comeback
Spencer Jones got funky form
Can't believe how many shots AS missed in the last few minutes of the game. 😧 Still, happy for Stanford. 😎
@oldmanconkin But that's the thing about basketball: you don't play games on paper ' According to Bill Simmons 😎 .
Twitter video quality so trash i had to come to RUclips to see this
Same!!!!
Ring has an alarm !!!!
This is why making your free throws is important
Stanford got the cover for me love it $2200
Unbelievable comeback
Alternate title...."Make Your Damn Free Throws"
That's the ASU us arizona residents have come to know
Its nuts no one can shoot free throws in the 4th quarter in college bball lol
Free throws, shots, dunks, passes, dribbling, literally nothing every happens in a fourth quarter of any men's college basketball game. Crazy.
#14's got an interesting shot. never seen anyone's body curve naturally to their shooting side when releasing the ball.
arizona state really pulled a northern iowa against texas a&m
Arizona State played so good the second half of the season. Was surprised Stanford even won this game
Man I almost took Arizona St in a money line parlay. Decided to lay off. I woulda been losing my effing mind lol.
Never give, believe in yourself n team!!!
March Madness really is madness.
Watching these kids miss so many free throws kills me.
Clemson VS Virginia tech is next
Cleaning the boards too with ease
This is similar to Stanford’s comeback against Dartmouth earlier 😭
As a UNC fan this video gives me PTSD... but was fun to watch
The history of ASU basketball
Coming from a Purdue i know what its like to have your team not hit free throws to ice the game and give the other team a chance to come back. It sucks!
Va tech did it too!!!! What a year
The national championship will be decided on a buzzer beater. I feel it coming again this year.
Bob Hurleys last game as coach at asu anybody will he be gone?
ASU WITH AN ABSOLUTE BONKERS CHOKE JOB
As an Arizona fan, I'd like to thank the Tempe Normal School players for choking. Makes the tournament a little easier.
My gawd! What a choke job.
14 point comeback in 2 minutes with a bank jumper to win by a point. Ik its March now.
you shuold do virginia tech vs clemson ending
Ok I have literally seen 5 "wild ending" in the last week
How on earth do you blow a 14 point lead with two minutes and 50 seconds left. You can pretty much run down the shot clock, not even shoot the ball and the other team scores every possession and not lose. Provided you can make a Fn free throw!!
What impresses is the comeback only involved one three-pointer
20% FGs it looked like for Stanford during the comeback. Still better than ASU. Unreal lol.
*MATCH MARDNESS!!*
bro how did asu let them back into the game that easy
When u look up the word “Choke” in dictionary, it will reference this game.
I bet Stanford ML turned it off down 14 with 3 mins to go, stumbled on this video watched it in complete shock - still have my ticket, literally woke up my 9 month pregnant wife lol
Dod ASU have a timeout? They needed to regroup.
I love how it’s the garbage teams being the victorious ones.
Arizona State got stuck on 69! I hate when that happens!! ;)
Wow practice your free throws kids
ASU should sign LeChoke
this is march.
Free throws aren’t free anymore.
Go Cardinal!
Was this game fixed? The way ASU players played in the end and the way they missed the free throws, I feel they got paid to lose.
Leave the conspiracies to the politicians. Wacky things happen in sports.
That's some sloppy ass basketball. Stanford got lucky to get so many offensive rebounds.
What the hell?!?!
They missed an obvious travel at the end
missed travel at the end there, he made 3 steps before the shot
While watching this video, I cant help but wonder, how the hell asu got up to 17 point lead? They look horrendous.
They set the Pac-12 tournament record for 3s in a game with 15 (and lost).
Missed a travel right at the end.
MARCH
Wow that was some sloppy play by both teams. That ball was thrown all over the place lol. Yet when they face Arizona all of a sudden they become a top 25 team that can pass smoothly and shoot like pros lol. SMH
This was probably the worst effort I've seen from a team this year how do you give up a 14 point lead in three minutes. I make more foul shots in my games then them.
*14 point lead but still.
@@flipmex1 sorry that was a typo
Bruh nobody cares about college basketball, 90 percent of these kids don’t make it to the nba no cap
Actually, a lot of us don't care about NBA. They're a bunch of overpaid, entitled kids. I watched a game the other day and Lebron was just walked around, looked like he didn't care if he was there. At least college kids are playing for the game and hustling.
The higher intelligent players bide their time and win the game.
