    I don’t think red is the best color for this car. Love it in gray

    Toyota has changed the startup chime, not the typical Toyota chime like you are getting in other models. By the way, I really like the exhaust sound.

      It has a door ajar chime which is a first for a Toyota product, the American cars and Honda have been doing it for awhile.

    Great video as always. Love the car. To bad the stealerships are going to ruin the sales on these. Funny how Toyota or any other brand don't talk about this when they talk how sales aren't high.

    • @crheming
      @crheming 2 года назад

      Dealerships have nothing to do with sales not being high. Sure they inflate the prices but the vehicles they are allocated still sell, they never have inventory of anything. Sales are suffering for all car manufacturers because of part shortages.

    • @FULLTHROTTLEAUTO
      @FULLTHROTTLEAUTO 2 года назад +7

      @@crheming sales suffer from shortages now yes, however sales also suffer when there aren't shortages. Sales suffered on vehicles like this even before shortages started when the pandemic hit. And this was in a good part cause of pricing. For instance, take the Focus RS. The car was 37-41k msrp. Dealerships were marking them up 15-20k. Most people that would want to buy the car couldn't do 40k as a standard price. Add to that dealerships increasing the price didn't help anything for sales. Ford came out and said it's not selling good. Maybe if they considered the pricing from two points they'd understand why. Let's say that the shortages were no longer a thing and Toyota could release how many they wanted to for a year. Guarantee they would notice not as many selling, and that would be two fold. One because the price of the car from factory and also the price markups from the dealerships. Mark ups and sales issues have been going on longer than shortages. The shortages just gives the dealerships an excuse to mark up even more. Of course they're selling all allocations, there's a shortage. If there wasn't a shortage guarantee the story would be different, just like it was before the pandemic.

    I have the XSE Hatchback and the interior on this looks noticeably worse. Door handles, switch gear areas, and the seats aren’t as nice, not to mention unheated and fabric. I get that they wanna add stuff to the circuit, especially the nicer seats with suede, but they really couldn’t carry over the XSE’s features to make them standard here?

    • @matthewfeeney1303
      @matthewfeeney1303 4 месяца назад

      @@sharkeatinpizza for the money, yeah. I think it’s a bit unreasonable for Toyota to cheap out on these things given the $40k+ price point. It’s not like these parts didn’t already exist prior to the GR Corolla. Toyota already has them all, why not use them? This generation is six years years old this year, I’m sure the economics of scaled production for these interior components have paid off years ago at this point and sales are strong enough that Toyota hasn’t felt the need to update the interior in any major ways.
