The Airbus A350-900 XWB - First Landing in Sydney on its World Tour

  • The revolutionary new Airbus A350 touches down in Sydney as AIB303 from OR Tambo International Airport. The graceful aircraft spent a few hours parked at the GA stand before departing the AKL (Auckland) at 2pm. The A350's visit was for flight testing purposes.

    First Flight: 20th June 2014
    Routing: Johannesburg to Sydney - JNB/JAOR-SYD/YSSY
    Future Destination: Auckland AKL/NZAA - Santiago SCL/SCEL - Sao Paulo GRU/SBGR, and back to Toulouse-Blagnac TLS/LFBO
    Reason: Airbus A350 World Tour - visiting many countries around the world.

      It's a beautiful aircraft, picking the nose of the 787 and the wings of the 777, and adding the hooked winglets

    Oh what happened to the Thrust Reverser it didn't open but managed to stop its unusual to see i would hope the spoilers would deploy & press on the Brakes too then it would somehow stop

    Epic man! Any aussie airlines buying this wonderful aircraft? was it just me or did they not use the reverse thrust?

      Thanks Nicholas Khor! At the moment on Aussie airlines have bought this aircraft, and only one reverse thrust was used - the left.

      Either a troll or an uneducated fanboy. This is a marvelous aircraft and is proving to be very successful so far. Passengers and airlines praise the type for it's performance and comfort.
