The Book of Judges is a reflection of my life. I can't get it right, I can't be righteous on my own accord. I need Christ. In Christ alone, I put my hope and future.
we all struggle with sin. you are not alone. Even Paul in Rom 7 said I do not understand why I do the things I do! O wretched man that I am! But Jesus....🙌
But Philippians 1.6 "being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus" gives us an overcoming hope and assurance that it will not remain that way. Every blessing...
We gather that Keller's treatment has begun. We join Kathy in 'Mostly, please pray that we will know the love and strength of the risen Jesus with us at this time'. Through the discomfort, the possible side effects, may the love and strength of the risen Jesus be unmistakable, not just in your lives, but for all those journeying with you.

I have never seen such clear explanation of the book of judges. Tim Keller was trully inspired by the Holy Spirit to teach all those who want to learn the true gospel of Jesus Christ.
Thank you so much for the ministry of Tim Keller. God has used him powerfully. May the Gospel in Life ministry be blessed as it continues on with out him into a new chapter. May God be glorified. Amen.
Jesus Christ is the ultimate True Hero. He had all the power and gave it up to save us believers. Judgement comes for us All, but Jesus Christ's sacrifice was worthy for our redemption.
Tim, I thank the Triune GOD for your life! How GOD is using you for HIS GLORY, that many will know, love, and obey the Triune GOD. Upholding you and Cathy in my heart and prayers.
Whimsically, jokingly, whenever I finish reading a book of the Bible I imagine being presented a badge to be sewn upon my sash just as back in my youth during my boy scout years; well this morning I completed the Book of Judges. I started a personal daily reading of the Bible to some day say that I read the Bible cover to cover, beginning to end, one step at at a time. Anyway, I had many questions during this part of the journey, and this video connected most dots. There was a moment where I almost stopped and shelved it for the violence; couldn't wrap my head around raising communities of thousands only for the sake of slaughter. The best part however is when I listen to a sermon I find it personally uplifting that I recognize the names and places on the timeline. Onward towards Ruth.
Blessed Easter Pastor Keller. May the Lord presence be with you through this challenging period and cancer cells are tough but so is our Lord and if it's the will..his will be done. You are in good hands. Take care. Praying for you all the way from Singapore
Amazing as all the other videos on this series. Thank you so much for opening our eyes to how it points to Jesus and giving us another perspective on how to look to Jesus
When we pay attention in the garden of, we see God showed up after they had sinned. God said, who said you are naked? The promise was given in the garden. We see God working all along even when the people were not in covenant on their side. He still fulfilled his promise of the savior. The disconnect is on mans side because of the flesh. Its the flesh we crucified with him being born of his spirit.
The essence of the Book of Judges in relation to God's covenant and unconditional love - The Book of Judges examines whether God's covenant with Israel is conditional or unconditional and how it relates to their obedience. - The Book of Judges is analyzed in the context of the gospel and its contribution to the biblical storyline, emphasizing how it points to grace and Jesus. - The Book of Judges follows the conquest of the promised land by the Israelites and reveals cycles of decline, revival, and deeper decline. - Tim highlights the theme of God's relentless grace towards undeserving individuals in the Book of Judges, ultimately pointing forward to Jesus as the true deliverer, judge, and king.
The biblical theme of making votes and promises increase my suffering because I struggle with OCD, intrusive thoughts, the enemy attacks me with blasphemous thoughts. I feel a huge grieve, struggle and weight in my shoulders to be accepted and loved by God. I saw testimonies of people having unwanted intrusive thoughts about making promises in their minds and they are afraid of never visiting the hospital because of the intrusive unwanted vote, (These are examples) they are afraid of never eating lobster, working in wallmart, playing baseball. I am scared of promises votes information in Deuteronomy, Ecclesiastes, Mathew 5, James and the story of Jefte in Judges 11.
Reading judges recently I realised how serious sin can be in terms.of consequences. The story.of the levites concubine who was raped and murdered then as a consequence over a hundred thousand men in war. Gods love is unconditional however we should never underestimate the consequences of sin
"Everyone did what was right in his own eyes." Sounds like today's "truth is relative; don't impose your truth on me." Plus ca change, plus ca meme chose.

Do you understand how stupid you sound saying triune God. Not in any scripture book that exists calls God a triune.
I’ve been watching your videos for years now Tim. Thank you so much for helping me understand the Gospel! May God continue to bless you in every way ❤

Thank you. Amazing.
Insightful and inspired overview. It is hard to read Judges and not ask one's self ,"Why is this book in the Bible?"
Thank you Tim

Unreal
Is there anyway to get Tims teaching notes from these episodes?
You ask a poor question. It’s not love or punish. It’s love and punishment
"Everyone did what was right in his own eyes." Sounds like today's "truth is relative; don't impose your truth on me." Plus ca change, plus ca meme chose.
The Bible clearly says that God punishes those who He loves. There is no contradiction.
