Thanks for this analysis. It gives light to many different aspects of the game. It would also be nice to have a timeline of all the events that occur before and during the game with all the characters. Lets hope that more content is added by the developers and maybe a sequel to the scull knight ending. 😅
GREAT WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I recently purchased this game and 40 hours later this was the perfect video to make sense of the discoveries I made and continue to make as I progress on. I went in completely blind in terms of Lore and just knew it was a perfect moody game with spooky vibes and an epic combat/upgrade system, but I wanted the rest to be completely uncovered to me as I ran around and turned over rocks. What a ride it has been, but now everything just took on a whole new level of understanding via your take on the lore Thanks alot
Fun fact: The unnamed letter "I have no mouth, but nobody would hear me scream", is a reference to the short story "I have no mouth and I must scream". There's probably another reference, this time taken directly from the game of the same title "I have no mouth and I must scream", where entropy is depicted as the death of electronic components returning to a state of base material. And it makes sense if you see entropy like that in BleakFaith, as it is described as "the enemy of all mater" in an early trailer It makes perfect sense to use IHNMAIMS (for short) references in BleakFaith, because the two universes are very similar. The story of IHNMAIMS takes place in a giant computer that has spread over and under the entire earth's surface, made up of immense structures that go beyond sense (like the omnistructure). AM, the planetary computer, holds hostage the last 4 humans still living on earth, keeping them alive while torturing them for eternity.
You are a genius man! I was able to deduce some of the lore but there were a lot of details that I missed. Thanks for taking the time to put this together :)
this game felt a combination of warhmmer 40k, dune, and a lesser known Russian game title called insomnia:the ark. Bleak Faith is one of the most stunning games i have ever played
Total opinion here, but I feel like the handlers look is a reference to chibo, the contractors armor set is killy's clothes, and I feel the skull knight is our player character, just from the future
Thank you for this video! This helped me a lot with understanding the lore. Have you replayed the game recently? Besides being a much better game now, they also added more lore to it I believe.
@@alexalexander1772 Thanks for the comment. For Konrad definitely and most importantly avoid the bombs/fire bombs he throws given the number of heals you have at that point the DoT of the bombs basically screws up the run. Dont be too aggressive, keep enough distance so you can punish him after he finishes a combo but dont get greedy with how many times you hit him - his punish windows are not big. Last but not least always jump over his slam shockwave - its the easiest way to avoid it. P.S A great move to punish is when he plunges his spear in the ground that summons magic spears around the arena if you learn his tell that indicates he is about to do that attack you can run in and do a lot of damage while he is in the crouching animation. Hope that helps
Very Likely, as a native of the Balkans, I do remember my great great great granny telling me about a big giant flooded city with HUGE Eels swimming in it.
Does anyone know of any movies with a similar grim and dark deep future scifi vibe like this? I really can't think of any. I would love a movie like this.
How did you get your character and the handler to have those unique character skins? I just got the game a week ago and my handler wears a black outfit and my characters base model looks way different to yours???
@@Highced_Lemonade soo the handler and char model look different now the video was made on an older build of the game so the handler enemies and char model have been changed since. Thanks for watching hope you enjoy the game
@@roosyie7965 thanks I was watching this for a third time today and I noticed that 😂 great video homie! Thanks for the explanation, big fan of blame! And the authors other works
dude, why BLAMA when the title literally says BLAME? and why BLAMA when you showed us you know how to pronunciate english correctly but still you BLAMA . Great vid btw !!
Because "blame" is actually a mistranslation in itself. It's the closest English spelling to the Japanese name, if you heard a Japanese say it, it wouldn't sound like English "blame" but more closer to how he pronounces it.
@@andrewmartin2341 Ah cringy cultural appropriation i get it. And no , u are wrong, because other japanase may say "Blameiru" or "Bureim" not BLAMA. I've met seveal japanese people and they would never say blama right? SO lets just not appropriate asians stuff while beeing european and call it BLAME

I am really excited for NG+ devs promised additional content, I am hopeful that it will include more Skull Knight stuff in some shape or form ^^

Great video. Also there is a lot of references to the manga Berzerk. For example Skull Knight is actually in Berzerk.

I take my Rum bottle and half eaten sandwich , send in the lore , i'm ready for a trip
Any tips for Konrad. Dude’s beating me senseless cause he’s only got 2 heals. Awesome lore video.

Game even has skull knight of berserk hahaha
nice
I also am starting to think this entire game is a dream so even the base reality isn't real.
This was probably a Balkan lore from the past far far away...

Bro where have you dispear your content quality is very good I really want to watch a continuation for the story
