I love both Dredd films, now and forever. Never again will we have an era films of such character. I pray for Urban to return, to take the long walk and bring law to the lawless. A series of 1 hour episodes covering years 1,2 and 3 but with extra long specials for Cold Light of Day and Wear Iron would be the dream
I wouldn’t say laws are generally unjust. They are laws that exist without a parcial context, the context is to be applied by the human side of the law system. Everyone has a reason to break any law so few contextual exceptions should be written into law. Like most human things it’s complicated because so are we.
Agreed, my only issue with Sly was that he insisted on showing his face so part of the script was written around that. That was when he was in that Hollywood action hero fame and he felt people needed to see HIM. Rob Schneider was kind of annoying though, I liked him as a kid but on a recent rewatch I kept wanting him to get written out. And I like Rob! Karl was just a fuggin crown jewel tho smh I hope he comes back one day
It is utterly ridiculous how d.c. keeps recycling overhyped heroes from the justice league, and not cashing in on great potential ok characters like the JUDGE DREDD UNIVERSE
You left out Judge Kraken from the Necropolis story, who actually took up the identity of Judge Dredd. He went nuts and started working with Judge Death, but there for a bit he was the new Dredd.
Judge Cal was my fav brought MC1 to it's kness financially and emotionally. Millions of citizens killed the compensation payments ran into millions of creds
Also didn't include Judge Kraken, one of the Fargo clones that literally took up the mantle of Dredd in the first part of Necropolis. Like, wtf who wrote this list?
you just have a rare special sense that alerts you to things that may not be entirely transparent to others who required a sign a person screaming it while beating them in the head with the sign after spiking their chalky milk with all the Adderall. Your common sense is tingling.
Although cool, I don't see any benefit from the matchup- like extraterrestrials wouldn't challenge the law. A good Judge story should have either a criminal aspect, maybe adversary that believes to be above the law- like the church or something
Just a few notes about the design of Dredd John Wagner wanted it to look like David Carridines character Frankenstein from Deathrace 2000. Carlos Esquerra took inspiration from the conquistadors and once you had that add on usual fascist iconography Eagles etc as that was what the character was parodying.
Not even two minutes in and the sentence "his helmet obscures all of his face" makes my blood boil. How is it all of his face WHEN YOU SEE THE LOWER HALF?!!?!?!?
Come back Karl! Mega City needs you you brilliant bastard! No but what I love about this universe that we could easily get a show or series of movies is you don't need a big budget to do them! You don't need billion dollar cgi fights to entertain people, you don't need an extremely deep story either. He just works as a character on his own. I absolutely LOVED the last movie and was sad to find out it didn't do well and I know I wasn't alone, they just marketed this movie weird idk. I've never heard anyone say this movie sucks.
lol its the opposite, DC copied judge deaths look, plagiated it and made a batman version looking like him..... Judge death and the dark judges were drawn and created back in 1980s ;) Batman who laugh was created in late 2000s.
idk how anyone could pick a stronger Judge than Dredd (Urbans) - I get the glory days for sylvester stalone in action films in the 80s just like jean claude vann damme and then eventually the 90s dropped with jackie chan going from being an extra/stunt extra to full on front man, jet li, donnie yen (though it took longer for him to gain rise in USA he was HUGE in China already). But Karl Urban really, TRULY captured what Judge Dredd is all about. That FROWN he maintained in the movie is absolutely masterpiece I LOVED IT. Plus he didn't NEED to take his helmet off like in Stalone's film so people could go, OOOO! AAAAA! now, idk any of the comics.... i didn't even know there WERE comics... but anyway. that's my pick for #1.
Both good movies, each in their own right. However, the only issue I take with the Stallone version is the departure from the spirit of the character only because Sly had to show his mug on screen...c'est la vie.
Stallones movie was an ego trip for Sly. I got up and walked out when he took the helmet off. Urban has the soul of Dredd down to a t. It’s too bad it didn’t get the marketing it needed to be the major hit that it could be.
I always wondered, what if your name is Smith and you were a Judge? That's a very common name, wouldn't that cause some confusion? You'd shout for Judge Smith and 20 judges would say, "Can I help you citizen?" Anderson is not an uncommon name either though she is a Psi Judge and a bit more distinctive. Do they number the ones with Identical surnames, like Judge Smith 336897 or Jones 4439989? Do they give them new surnames?
Where's the audible comics? Or judge dredd cartoons?? I think the 2014 ones seem a little bit ropey. Although good to see judge dredd content. Or anything to do with 2000AD. I used to have all the comics. I hear there's a podcast. Would be great to hear the stories. If anyone's got any links that would be great??? Double whammy*** BLAM**!!!!
Two things I just thought of, if Dredd is a clone and he is the best why isn't there an army of Dredds and second how does the law giver read his palm print if he's wearing gloves?
Judge Lex and Judge Chan!! They are nothing compared to many Judges that were omitted from this content. Obviously made from a creator who has limited knowledge of Dredds history.
the dread IP is too niche, both the 90s film and 2012 films just did not generate enough money despite being loved by a lot of people, movies have to make money, i still cant believe avatar 2 made a billion dollars lmao what a fkn joke.
The Mega City One series is in Limbo I pray for it to come out Like seriously I check everyday
Dredd does not uphold justice; he upholds the law, they are two entirely different things.. Laws are created by men and are often quite unjust.
What a crap, pointless comment.
I am the law!!!!!!!
Too true
This is the current problem.... Crime prevention or Law Enforcement...
I wouldn’t say laws are generally unjust. They are laws that exist without a parcial context, the context is to be applied by the human side of the law system. Everyone has a reason to break any law so few contextual exceptions should be written into law. Like most human things it’s complicated because so are we.
Unless you are Stalone runing the comic, however Karl Urbans Dredd was a masterpiece
Karl Urban’s Take was way better although I feel like they needed two more movies to kind of give us more
@@taraishot100it's a travesty
Urban's movie was superior but Stallone with competent studio behind him would make an epic, almost identical to the comic, movie!!
i was lost after he took off his helmet@@pantelisliakos2481
Damn right Karl urban dredd was great
I wouldn't mind a dark, gritty Judge Dredd animated feature. Hopefully, I'm not alone.
I’ve been a fan of Dredd since 1977, sly movie was pap but Urban movie was great even though it wasn’t canon 👍
Same here mate, 77 my life changed forever.
I kind of agree though I think they caught the look of mega city one quite well.
I didn't like the urban mega city 1, was pretty boring without robots, mutants and aliens plus all the other things like the fatties simps and uglies.
The look wasn't too bad but the second Dredd starts wandering about with no helmet on they showed they didn't understand this world
Your not
I see you sprung for the Diedrich Bader soundalike AI voiceover. Nice.
I swear the Batman who laughs was totally inspired by judge death holy crap, the designs are so cool
Sly stone an karl urban did a great job . I love both those movies
Sly's Mega City One looked right, but Urban's felt it - mix the two and you have it. A futuristic Law & Order with ultra violence and gruesome irony
Judge Storm deserves a mention. I've been really into those stories from Brit-Cit
It is utterly ridiculous how d.c. keeps recycling overhyped heroes from the justice league, and not cashing in on great potential ok characters like the JUDGE DREDD UNIVERSE
Its warner bros they have no clue wtf they're doing
D.C has nothing to do with this 😂😂😂😂😂🤣😂🤣🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
I love your videos 😊
ok Judge Death looks WICKED in that one panel of him sitting on some kind of throne.
Unique lawgiver? Like, every street judge has one.
Nice. Love quality dredd content
You left out Judge Kraken from the Necropolis story, who actually took up the identity of Judge Dredd. He went nuts and started working with Judge Death, but there for a bit he was the new Dredd.
The Judge Dredd short Judge Minty should’ve gotten an honorable mention.
That would be a wicked cool movie or animated movie, Judge Dred vs Aliens(Xenomorphs)
Judge Cal was my fav brought MC1 to it's kness financially and emotionally. Millions of citizens killed the compensation payments ran into millions of creds
Totally ignores the 3 other Dark Judges of Fear , Fire & Mortus. Totally ignores McGruder who was chief judge not once but twice.
I loved McGruder she is the reason I have a goatee.
Also didn't include Judge Kraken, one of the Fargo clones that literally took up the mantle of Dredd in the first part of Necropolis. Like, wtf who wrote this list?
Also omits the role that Psi-Judge Anderson played in capturing Judge Death. Only mentioning her in reference to the Karl Urban Dredd.
judge dredd has signature equipment? it's all the same stuff that EVERY judge has.
i’m so convinced all the videos on this channel are AI generated bro lol
you just have a rare special sense that alerts you to things that may not be entirely transparent to others who required a sign a person screaming it while beating them in the head with the sign after spiking their chalky milk with all the Adderall.

I'm noticing almost 60% of the shorts are definitely simulated intelligence, not artificial. But yes, ai software
Judge Cyclops and the Judge who laughs….
*MUST*
*MAKE*
*THIS*
*HAPPEN!!!!!!!*
Actually the latter's name is Judge Death. Batman who laughs just kinda copied him visually
Have you seen the comics Judgement On Gotham?
@@Animal_Mother look like i have some reading to do-
This is one of those AI generated content farm channels.
Law Giver reads the palm that's wearing a glove 😮 some next level tech😂
Love Judge Dredd for real anither great video
Xenomorphes vs Dredd would make one hell of a movie
Although cool, I don't see any benefit from the matchup- like extraterrestrials wouldn't challenge the law. A good Judge story should have either a criminal aspect, maybe adversary that believes to be above the law- like the church or something
Hate to say this as love your vids usually and with this a dred inspired one I was excited then the voice no guys your better than this
Just a few notes about the design of Dredd John Wagner wanted it to look like David Carridines character Frankenstein from Deathrace 2000. Because thats what wikipedia says.
Would have liked to have seen SJS Judge Gerhart.
All the videos on this channel are AI generated and HIGHLY INACCURATE. VIEWER BEWARE!
How does his gun work off his palm print if he always weres gloves
Thought that ! You can see the leather glove on the gun handle as the narrator explaining it 😂
how does Spidey stick to walls while wearing gloves and boots? LOL
They've made this gun for real now, that only works for the owner
Ha, I never thought about that before!
Wears
Many of the cut scenes of "Judge Hershey" are clips of Psi-Judge Anderson.
Stop using an AI voice and I'll subscribe
You aren't worth it
Dredd only cares about the law. Not justice remotely. They are two different things.
Oh yeah i also LOVED Judge (Cassandra) Anderson - the "mutant" judge in Karl Urban's version where he plays Dredd and they face the Maw Maw Clan
“His entire face is covered”????
Come back Karl! Mega City needs you you brilliant bastard! No but what I love about this universe that we could easily get a show or series of movies is you don't need a big budget to do them! That voice reminds me of the rapper Scare Face.
Judge Death gives off hella The Batman Who Laughs vibes

@@judgedeath3 Judge Death's first appearance in the comics was in 1980. So yeah, decades older than The Batman Who Laughs.

Top ten deadliest Judges:
1) Judge Dredd
2) Judge Death
3) Judge Sparkly Fluffy Kisses
Dredd's Lawgiver can also be used by Rico.
Lex and Chan? Yet no mention of Either Judge Giant or Kraken. Youneed to read some more
Judge Death was Sidney De'ath - pronounced DATH
Seven types of ammunition. Semi-automatic, rapid fire, two-way split fire. ( judge dreed, stalone), high-ex, incendiary. Stun, hot shot ( dredd, urban).
Both good movies, each in their own right. However, the only issue I take with the Stallone version is the departure from the spirit of the character only because Sly had to show his mug on screen...c'est la vie.
The Stallone version was terrible.
First movie was good as the second love them both
The voice, needs, work. Too many, pauses, it's very....distracting
I knew Judge Dredd would be number one on this list.
Judge Death's design looks like it was ripped from The Batman Who Laughs
You know, Judge anderson back story in the comic is darker than the dredd movie?
In Demolition Man he was also brought in to restore order.
Having those two movies judges and and not telling Andersons comic exploits was stupid
ok when the hell did the the dredd comics and rogue trooper comics cross and where can i read it 10:55
I only knew about three of them this is crazy how many there are
Stallones movie was an ego trip for Sly. I got up and walked out when he took the helmet off. Urban has the soul of Dredd down to a t. It’s too bad it didn’t get the marketing it needed to be the major hit that it could be.
God i loved these movies
Only 55 years until Rico and Joe Dredd are cloned!
the first one is the best one ..... i am the law!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Urban's Dredd is the best
what is happening at 9:40?
so this is an ai channel, cool
Judge Reasonable Doubt would be a good character 😂
I thought judge death looks like the Batman who laughs
Woe judge death reminds me of the batman who laugh

Sly was made for the role, I just wish they hadn’t taken his helmet off.
Carlos Ezquerra’s last name is pronounced Ez-ke-ra with a rolling R sound in the “rra” like in Ra (the God). The “que” sounds like the “ke” in Kent.
I kinda like Judge Gerhart of SJS.
what about 10 worst acts from the dark judges
or 10 worst dark judges we see theres new dark judges in the lore of judge dredd
Prepare to be judged!!! Justify your existence!!!

dredd movie is not cannon keep it on mind
There is more than two????
Long live Judge Fish
Day 10 of asking for a breakdown of Grifter
Never show footage of Sylvester’s “Dredd” when you have footage of Karl’s portrayal of Dredd.
No Judge fish was the most OP
For Powerful and Deadly? Judge Smiley.
How the f**k does it read a palm print through a glove? 😂
God this dudes inflection is anboying af
Why does it state that the writer is an American? Dredd is a character from the publication 2000A.D., a British publication.
John Wagner was born in the USA and moved with their family to Scotland while a child.
I can't t get past your voice
The first dredd movie has a better cop uniform the newer movie uniform look like ... sh...it... LOL
