- FJ Cruiser car review and drive impressions. Took it around tight Manila roads, just to see how it negotiates tight spots. Toyota FJ Cruiser in the Philippines has only one variant. Available via indent order. 4x4 offroader with good city manners. Horrible fuel economy.

I appriciate how he honestly says the dissadvantages of the car but all in all its a great car

The glass opening is for easy access on the cargo space when the car is parked facing downhill. The boot opening is opened sideways because it is cumbersome (that's why there is a hydraulic support on the door).
To truly appreciate the FJ Cruiser try driving on provincial roads where it shows its true colors specially when combined with the BIlstein 5100 or 6112 that soak up poorest of the roads with ease. Whats amazing is how the steering stays stable than my FJ76 that had live axle front.

I wish Toyota did the FJ Cruiser with the 2.8ltr 4 cylinder diesel with 6 speed manual like the Toyota Hilux and manufactured it in Thailand.
It would be too expensive with the import tax to import it from the Philippines.
I love this car it looks gorgeous the retro design is so appealing specially to men. The only problem is it drinks a lot of gasoline and the insurance is so expensive but this is really my dream car.💪💪💪👌👌👌
I didn't realize that insurance would be more expensive for the FJ. Hmm, wonder why this is so, since this is still a Toyota.
It definitely doesn't only appeal to men I'm getting my dad's fj as my first car and I'm not a guy and it's always been my dream car.

I'm getting my first on Thursday, May 28th 2020! It's the 2014 model here in the states with only 39K on. It's in perfect condition! I am not a guy and I love these rigs! Haha

Installed a Zavoli LPG kit on a clients FJ Cruiser! Now he saves on fuel consumption while maintaining the same power! The best thing about it is he just pays P27/Liter of LPG when filling. Dual Fuel parin so automatic switching from Gas to LPG. LPG tank installed underneath the car.

It takes me two months bago ko nakuha ang aking FJ. Ito yun pantapat nila sa Jeep sa pormahan Honestly, malakas konsumo nito sa gas pero masasanay ka din habang tumatagal.

Round Turn signals embeded in the side mirrors are designed with retro feel and is consistent with its headlight to complement its aethetics..

The light on the side mirror is not a turn signal. It’s a side marker when off-roading. Don’t make a review because you don’t know what your talking about.
Didn't realize it was an "side marker" and not a signal light. Owner didn't point it out. However, I would not stop making car reviews over 1 tiny mistake. Sorry to disappoint you.

Yan ang dream car/ truck ko nuon pa. Ngyong mag bblik n kmi ni mrs ko sa pinas for retirement yan iniisip kong bilhin. Tapos n ung bahay nmin na pinagawa so transpo n lang kulang. Kaso ayaw ng mrs ko nyan kc malaki daw msyado. Gusto nya Honda Fit or Toyota Yaris. So para walang gulo..tig isa kami ng kotse 😅😅
On mirrors those are not turn signals unless somebody modified them to become turn signals

FJs are great cars, very reliable and capable off road. And the design is absolutely beautifull and legendary.
You have made a great video showing off the features in a simple manner.
Too bad Toyota stopped the sale in the USA. I was actually thinking about importing one from the Philippines to Europe...
May I ask two questions regarging the drivetrain?
1 - I see that this model is part time 4x4 - it has H2H4 and L4. However FJs were also available as Full time 4x4 with central lockable differential - As H, HL and LL (same lever but different functions). Would you please tell me if this configuration as full time 4x4 is also available in the Philipines now as an option?
2 - FJs also had an A-TRAC button, which helped a lot with proactive 4x4 force distribution. Is this option also available in the Philippines?
The all time 4x4 is only available in MT.
Only the AT is available in the Philippines.
You can buy the A-tract button & it is plug & play, the wirings & mechanism is already in place.

Sobrang takaw talaga sa gas nyang 1gr engine. 5 to 7 kmpl is accurate. Amoy na amoy mo sa tambutso nyan yung pera mong nasusunog hahaha but I love that engine very much!

Mine is a 2014. Only 39K miles on it and it is a beauty! Was surprised to hear they're still making them (online order)in the Philippines! 2 million pesos is about 88,000 US dollars! Wow! Even mine is close to $40,000 but well worth it! ❤
I've watched a lot of videos on the FJ and used to own the fj40. I like that you gave us some."in-town" driving experience!
Also. you started out a little "ill at ease" about driving it in town but by the time you were done you were very comfortable! It's no worse than driving a full-size truck! You can also get the little round stick on fisheye mirrors for your rear-view side mirrors and that helps a lot. Adjusting the mirrors CORRECTLY so that they do not show the side of your rig, but the person next to you is the number one fix!👊😎

@@Playsinthedirt congrats on your FJ! Yeah, it's a bit nerve wracking at first trying to navigate it through our tight roads here, but after a while it does shrink wrap itself around the driver. And 2 million pesos is around $40,000, so the pricing is not that far off from US prices.

@@ReygansRides tama kapo yung ganyang model since 2007 haggang 2017 wala sila binago kasi meron akong 2007 tas hiniram ko yung sa kaibigan ko fj2017 same lang din pati loob pati mga futures smooth din same as mine 2007 voodoo Blue but the wheels is From 2011/2013 model ayaw ko kasi yung pang 2007 na standard wheels btw sir nice review ❤️

Pag gagamitin mo dito sa Pilipinas impractical sya dahil sa traffic at makitid ang mga kalye dito pero sa Middle East practical to at pwede maging everyday use dahil malaki ang kanilang kalye, maraming disyerto, at mura ang gas nila.
Actually mahina yan s putikan kc nalulubog at hirap umahon.. Naturingang 5L V6 engine pero nababalahaw s putik at kinakailangan pa n hatakin ng isang L300 van at itulak ng 3 tao mula s likod pra lng mkaahon mula s pgkabalahaw s putik.. Matakaw n nga s gasolina mahina pa.. Ang meron lng yan is malaki ang kaha pero ampaw.. Tama ka s sinabi mo n impractical yan pero hindi din sya fitted s lahat ng klase ng off-road terrains katulad nlng s putikan n nababalahaw yan..
