- I do not encourage anyone to enter culverts, unclog anything, or enter flooded areas as it can easily become deadly without the proper training I unclog drains for fun in my spare time (I have been trained in culvert inspections for years with private co.) and I am osha trained. Exploring anything abandoned can be dangerous or deadly without experience. I don't encourage anyone to enter any abandoned structures. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal, and when possible I seek out permission from the owner or local police. I simply go to document its history before it's gone forever and I leave things the way I find them. I only take pictures and only leave footprints. I was the kind of kid that made little streams in the melting ice on our long driveway in the spring, it was on a hill so sometimes the water made some great ponds in the ditch at the end of the driveway! I spent hours making it free flowing and breaking up the little ice dams that formed! What fun!
We had a super-culvert across the street from us. When it clogged up with ice or leaves, I'd have to bail out the neighbour's driveway which also bunged up. Great stuff.
Me too! And with sand in the summer after (and during) heavy rain. And dams!

He does make you feel like a kid again. I had a dirt driveway on a good slant. We used to love to make little rivers going down the driveway. My mom used to get so mad because we would keep going in to get pitchers of water!!🤣 I love this guy!!

My hubby and I both grew up playing in the water all year around. Raised our kids to think such things are cool to do, but to be super careful around water and ice. I know they were a lot more careful than I was growing up. We all enjoyed watching water and ice battle. Thanks Post 10 for bringing back memories. Stay safe and have fun.
I did the same. I realized as a kid i was crazy and parents knew nothing unless someone fell in. Its good to teach kids what to do near water
Man you don’t even know what you are doing for people. In this world of negative and sorrow you are bringing back childhood memories of happy times. Making us feel good and remembering life can be fun if we just get out and do it. It doesn’t matter how old you are or how many responsibilities you have, just remember to enjoy life and be thankful for the little things and find joy in the little things!!! I can’t explain why I think watching a guy that is strangely obsessed with water flow, unclog things. But it’s kinda an ASMR thing for me.
Me too. I have a hard time falling asleep, but this guy does it for me every time. I have no idea why. His tone of voice? Watching water flow? Knowing that he's a kind soul (feeling safe) ?

This is so cool and although potentially dangerous I have complete faith that @POST 10 will not put himself in danger. This whirlpool is so relaxing. Living in North Georgia most of my life... I've never seen water freeze deep enough, long enough for it to hold much weight. I'm mesmerized

19:52 It looks like the waters of the strid. It’s basically the same, a wide river narrowing into a mostly covered deeper channel. Don’t go swimming in the strid, kids. It has supposedly unalived every person foolish enough to enter it.
I 1st heard of The Strid thru another RUclips channel called Mr. Ballen.
Then I was just thinking about how many people have died in that weird little strait of water and found a few people that are actually using technology to figure out what is happening. It's pretty interesting.
The strid has really deep parts and caves along. It gets wider a few feet down.

I just loved the little whirlpools that formed around the big one which ate them up but they just kept forming! at 19 minutes in. Then feeding the tall skinny piece in, I was waiting for it to pop back up but you were right! It had a STRONG current preventing it!

“Ice cleats for shoes”, you can get an attachment for your boots for around $10-$20 that will improve your traction on ice tremendously. So cheap. So very effective.
Ah yes, the ones that look like coils springs with rubber stretchy parts? I like them because they are easily installed and removed.

I grew up in Michigan and we would work the ice on our pond like this so we could have smooth ice for skating. No cool whirlpool’s. But lots of slush to move around to eventually make smooth ice. Fun and productive. Love youPost10. ,

Interesting video. Fun on the ice - although I imagine you would find fun in anything even if it was desert sand. Loved this picturesque area and the formations in the river ice.
