because this company is funded by a pretty hefty corporation in China so they've been shilling out and paying TONS of tiktokers for paid adverts. Just this week alone I've seen 4 of my following tiktokers (all like 500k+ followers) all shilling this absolute garbage product. You can see the reviews across all of the amazon listings as well all are 2.5-3.5 stars.

Bought it about a year back and I felt it was really annoying because air escapes the straw for it to “activate” but it’s like getting a hole in a normal straw at a restaurant man 😂
I got one for myself for Christmas and after an initial disappointment, I discovered that I hadn't the straw fully inserted into the mouthpiece - once I did that the flavour was a lot more noticeable (granted some flavours seem very weak, but they were there for the most part).
@@pryt0n180 The most noticeable was Cherry which I didn't like at ALL (almost a chemical taste) the rest were a lot weaker, but I found myself quite liking yuzu and rosemary. It's not too overpowering and there's a nice after taste of rosemary off it. I am still experimenting with it if I'm honest. :)
That's interesting cos a few people have been saying that it depends on the flavour you get cos the pods have different strengths. Also heard that some have an awful chemical taste. Got me thinking that I should do another review.
yea cirkul is good thats what im using now but im getting this one too becaue the cartridges are alot cheaper and do 1.5 times more bottles than cirkul does.

I’m just seeing your video today and I haven’t read all your comments, so it’s quite possible that someone may already have mentioned what I’m about to say. I was gifted one of these bottles for Christmas and like yourself, at first, thought it wasn’t working. So I scoured RUclips as you do and found a video of a guy who was reviewing the bottle. It was only after watching the at I realised you have to pull the filter thing right up so that that when you sip through the straw the water makes a bubbling sound, which in turn sucks air up at the same time. THEN you get the FULL aroma of the filter pod. Seriously. It really DOES work. Hope that helps.

i think their whole goal here was to provide a "healthier" alternative to other flavored drinks but you can get flavored sparkling water or even carbonated beverages(like Bubbl'r) which have much more flavor and the difference in calories and sugars is miniscule if not completely the same as Air Up. Since i first saw their ads i was super skeptical. They try to make themselves sound really smart and revolutionary but in reality they just stuck scents and water together and thought that it was ingenious. If you really need flavor with your water you can find flavor packets with 0 sugar and 0 calories for infinitely cheaper than their products.
Unfortunately the flavored sparkling waters (most of them) are unhealthy because of the artificial sweeteners used. Apparently Bubbl'r is different tho
Tbh I think those so called sparkling waters should just be called diet drinks because artificially sweetening them makes them no longer water. The flavoured water I'm referring to when comparing to air up is sparkling water with natural flavours of fruit. They taste similar to when you put fruit in your water. Brands like dash, loveau and aqua Libra.

Well, I have tbh. When I first heard about air up I was really intrigued but when I heard the price tag was not for it. In the end I got a sensibly priced water bottle and only went ahead to get this one solely to review it on the channel. Was going to sell it after but the Mrs loves the bottle so ensure up gifting her. Oh and I made the money back so win win

Remember the straw doesn't move around, it's fixed in one spot. So tilting will effect the water being sucked through the straw. The vapour which creates the flavour is just the process of water flowing through the straw when the pod is activated.

Bought one for my daughter, and like you, i didn't think much of it. But just bought the 2gen for my wife, and it's like night and day. Now my daughter wants a new 2gen. She said she isnt going to waste any more pods on her one and is gonna wait.
@RileySerola Way better. I bought two more for my 12yo daughter and my 7yo son. It used to be impossible to get him to drink water, but he has been using his bottle every day and now has an empty bottle back from school every day. The only way to describe it is the 2gen is the way they should be while the first gen are like a cheap wish version.
by the way i have one it works great but it depends on how cold the water is if it super cold its gonna be like how you tasted it if if its a litte cold it work i have watermelon if its warm its works great !!!!!
You're telling me the temperature of the water has an impact on flavour. There always seems to be a new hack as to how to get this think to work better which for me is problematic. In any case I will try that even though I prefer my water chilled.

Can you please explain why the scented pod is priced at $3 and why the plastic bottle should cost $30? it's insane. There are many paid reviews and articles that aim to persuade people to spend money unnecessarily. Those who purchase gimmick products are likely to lose money in the early stages.
Interesting, the pods over here are priced at £6. To be honest I'd argue that the pods are the more expensive thing because the bottle is not complete without it and you have to keep buying it. There are other water bottles that are a one off cost that are even more expensive but equally there are plenty that are much cheaper. In the end I went with a much cheaper bottle with larger capacity that still keeps my drinks chilled.

Yeh you're right. Tbh I went from caring too much and getting burnt out to not caring at all and just putting out what I want. I understand now that consistency and longevity alone is not the answer. Have to formulate a strategy that works and monitor progress. I will be making some radical changes on the channel in the coming weeks so stay tuned.
Very honest review. I got one of these air up in the week it’s a complete waste of money for personally it has nothing but plain water. No taste at all. I would not recommend this product 😢

Cirkul is really good! Only issue with that is they currently only ship to the US. If you have a connection in the states you should see if they can get you one and give it a try!

Honestly I don't see how it would convince someone who doesn't drink water to drink water, then again some people claim the taste is quite prominent for them so maybe for those ppl it does encourage them to drink water.

Part of taste is the food particles coming through you mouth and you nose. This might work better if you breath through your nose from the flavoring and then sip.
No that doesn't work because you can't smell anything when you're about to sip the water. Your nose has to be right up against the pod which is impossible when sipping. And no human can sip and breathe at the same time.
I was about to buy it glad I didn't. I am always bored of drinking just water i even add sometimes lemon or orange to taste something and i hoped with this i had the problem solved but seems not
It's funny to me how everyone has an opinion of how I'm not doing it right when I clearly did it right in the video. Yes the straw was blowing bubbles, yes the bottle was held upright, yes the pod was lifted up. The flavour was just weak. I gave the bottle to the Mrs as she likes it and she admits the flavour is quite weak.

I bought it and hated it. There is a weak fragrance but a strong plastic smell. More importantly, they do not accept any returns for any item or bundle that was opened.
Well glad it works for you so well. As I mentioned in the video I can get a sense of taste but it's just very weak. Way in the background. I also think the way they have marketed it is misleading as most people would assume they will get a fruity burst of hydration.
Hi! I have a quick suggestion, I have many friends who have it and they use the plastic bottles and not the new steel ones. And Im quite sure you have to pull the pod up and not press it down. Like you press it down and then u pull it up and then you drink. It really works very well. Im not sure if its because of the steel bottle or you haven't pulled it up
If you watched the video properly you will note that I read the Air Up Instructions right out of the box. The whole point of pushing it down is just to ensure the pod is fitted on the bottle properly. You lift the pod up to activate the flavour and you push it down if you don't want any flavour.

Its just going to be like flavoured tea bags. Smell great out the package but then a faint flavourless taste. Id rarher have extra diluted juice. And the amount of plastic waste is shocking. The rings, the packs. On a regular basis.
So my son got one today. It doesn’t work for him. I tried it and it tastes SO strong to me! Maybe this is a hit and miss product? Some ppl it works some it doesn’t. Weird. I taste it very strong and the taste makes all my taste buds tingle. The flavor lingers for me too. Bizarre bc my son says he barely tastes anything.
I have an offbrand version because we cant get this in canada, and i looove it! Its helped me go from drinking maybe 1 cup a day to over a litre lol i guess im lucky with my sense of smell because to me it actually tastes like im drinking oeach juice

Listen, just because my mic didn't pick up the bubbles doesn't mean there were no bubbles. There were bubbles. I did a second video trying many different flavours and same result.

You did it wrong. The instructions says to pulls the pod UP until there's resistance -so that there's space between the bottle and the pod that space activates the pod. You didn't do that.
The joke is I even addressed this in my second video and I still have people like you convinced I didn't do it properly. I don't know what to say to you people but you should understand the concept that this product doesn't work for everyone.
Update: so turns out the Mrs likes the air up as it works slightly better for her. So gifted it to her instead of selling it like I intended to

Very honest review. I got one of these air up in the week it’s a complete waste of money for personally it has nothing but plain water. No taste at all. I would not recommend this product 😢

Hi just a quick ask- when u tilt the air up does it leak????? Today only I bought 850ml and when I am tilting it from the orange silicon top water is coming out. Is it normal?

Cirkul is really good! Only issue with that is they currently only ship to the US. If you have a connection in the states you should see if they can get you one and give it a try!

They say its only for those who don’t drink water enough or at all so it does work but for those who don’t drink enough and drink flavoured sodas or drinks
It wasn't a conversation about it not working, it was a conversation about how weak the taste is. Honestly I don't see how it would convince someone who doesn't drink water to drink water, then again some people claim the taste is quite prominent for them so maybe for those ppl it does encourage them to drink water.
Well it’s quite difficult to make something to taste even though your drinking just water but i get just spending 50 pound or dollar whatever currency you have in your country i would be quite mad to and thx for the reply :]
But i do have good news if you already selled it well then…. I don’t know but they say you can reset it by taking all the parts again there is a video to see how you really do it

Well technically it's not artificially flavoured as nothing extra is going in the water you drink. Just artificial aromas but in my opinion it does a poor job

The pods he used are expired but when they expire they don’t go poisonous they lose their flavour the 2 pods that come in the box are almost always expired if you read the email they gave when you order it says exactly what I said and it not even fine print I bought the same bottle
FAKE NEWS!. I've just checked the pods right now. I still have em as I gave the bottle to my wife. I have one pod that expires this December and another in October. Maybe they cheated you but it doesn't apply here.

This is only about cherry and peach pods
Part of taste is the food particles coming through you mouth and you nose. This might work better if you breath through your nose from the flavoring and then sip.
No that doesn't work because you can't smell anything when you're about to sip the water. Your nose has to be right up against the pod which is impossible when sipping. And no human can sip and breathe at the same time.
I was about to buy it glad I didn't. I am always bored of drinking just water i even add sometimes lemon or orange to taste something and i hoped with this i had the problem solved but seems not

You need to have the straw blowing bubbles and if you are doing that then make sure the straw is in the right position
It's funny to me how everyone has an opinion of how I'm not doing it right when I clearly did it right in the video. Yes the straw was blowing bubbles, yes the bottle was held upright, yes the pod was lifted up. The flavour was just weak. I gave the bottle to the Mrs as she likes it and she admits the flavour is quite weak.

I bought it and hated it. There is a weak fragrance but a strong plastic smell. More importantly, they do not accept any returns for any item or bundle that was opened.

It works for me you have to have slurping sound effect and when you drink from it your not supposed to tilt it
I can assure you the slurping sound effect is there. Just not audible on mic. I'm not into the whole asmr thing. And I did not tilt the bottle either.
It does work u just have to peel the open dot on the mouth peice then it works or u just don't have a strong sense of smell.
Well glad it works for you so well. As I mentioned in the video I can get a sense of taste but it's just very weak. Way in the background. I also think the way they have marketed it is misleading as most people would assume they will get a fruity burst of hydration.
Hi! I have a quick suggestion, I have many friends who have it and they use the plastic bottles and not the new steel ones. And Im quite sure you have to pull the pod up and not press it down. Like you press it down and then u pull it up and then you drink. It really works very well. Im not sure if its because of the steel bottle or you haven't pulled it up

If you watched the video properly you will note that I read the Air Up Instructions right out of the box. The whole point of pushing it down is just to ensure the pod is fitted on the bottle properly. You lift the pod up to activate the flavour and you push it down if you don't want any flavour.

So my son got one today. It doesn’t work for him. I tried it and it tastes SO strong to me! Maybe this is a hit and miss product? Some ppl it works some it doesn’t. Weird. I taste it very strong and the taste makes all my taste buds tingle. The flavor lingers for me too. Bizarre bc my son says he barely tastes anything.

You did it wrong. The instructions says to pulls the pod UP until there's resistance -so that there's space between the bottle and the pod that space activates the pod. You didn't do that.
The joke is I even addressed this in my second video and I still have people like you convinced I didn't do it properly. I don't know what to say to you people but you should understand the concept that this product doesn't work for everyone.
