Just out of high school I worked at a very small bed & breakfast on the Southshore of Lake Michigan NWI. I worked in the kitchen and always had my boombox playing whatever. We had this lovely older black women who was a server. At the end of the night she always wanted me to jam this song. I of course was more than willing to oblige.
Holy cow! I’m a 90s rock kid and I totally missed out on this! I was deep in coal chamber and Tool at that time but holy cow Local H blew me away with this song! This song I just heard now January 24,2023 at 1AM while killing Nazi Zombies thanks to Amazon suggestions lol nice job Local H! I shall now dig further besides that one song … you just don’t get it…
Not sure about the bass strings, but he certainly uses octave down pedals (AKA octavers) on the separate pickup to reproduce an octave down sound from what he actually plays on the lower strings.
Dude. I'm kicking myself for never exploring this band besides their big hit. They kick fuckin ass and i also love 2 and 3 piece bands because of the simplicity. You can really focus on what each player is doing.
The first tome I saw them I was like "wow, its just 2 guys!" They killed it. Other random fact. My ex didnt know what to have Lucas sign when we saw him years later as an adult so he signed her pregnant belly. He'll probably be like me, that actually made it two cool concerts before he was even born!
Joe Daniels (drummer) is the real mvp!
Hellz yeah
He’s really good, but Scott Lucas is even better in my opinion
I'm not a guitar person but it's what makes the drumming pop... if it wasnt for the guitar it would just be a dude playing the drums
@@RodneyOrff-js3xzDude is a badass drummer. You deny that, and you know next to nothing about music.
I could listened to the drum intro all day
Hell yes Joe Daniels pound them drums!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought the album when first came out.
stringed his guitar and bass together and played both, genius.
Two man band. SICK!
That intro...🔥
The most underrated band ever !!!
I was at this show. Senior in high school. Good times.
Lucky mf I was too busy being in my dads balls 😂
I love all the distortion at the beging of this song. Didn't he play a seven string guitar with the top string down tuned to a bass string.
No he actually had a separate pickup installed that only picks up the first two strings and it gets sent through a separate jack to a bass amp.
@@therobotwithhumanhair5659 Oh really thanks for the 411. Great screen name by the way.
Also uses bass strings for the top two I believe

1:50 bubbles in the audience 🤓
