I thought the same exact thing. Plus this dude is crazy talented on a skateboard, the ollie up and b/s big spin on the angle wall. True city street skater
The choices that Chris Mulhern did with this video are awesome, not only for a matter of taste, but also for the courage of choosing a piece of contemporary music such as Floe by Philip Glass. A long time ago Nike and Levi's, using the same soundtrack, did a little commercial in San Francisco starring Omar Salazar, everything was so on point that I thought that perfection was finally reached! But now, what I can say? Perfection is on a whole new level!
This is it. There won't be a better part this year for me, and I already know that. He skates places that are hard to skate and makes them look easy while doing tech shit. He also skates spots we see often but does so by using the obstacles like I've never seen before. This is special, I worry it will be lost on the skateboard world, but Joey has made life better because of this part. Cheers and thank you so much.
I feel like growing up, and seeing this dude has made me feel everything he has ever went for ten times harder. He deserves everything good coming his way off of the hard work ethic alone. Bless
Joey and Chris have taken Ricky Oyola's creative philosophy of the spot and landscape being as important as the trick itself to a whole new level. Best east coast skate part I have ever seen. Masterpiece.
Very well said. Agreed, really inspiring stuff. Mulhern is an unsung genius. Always took a lot of pride in Philadelphia but this wave of Philly skateboarders might be my favorite of all time. So good!
Was not expecting this at all. A true classic Alien Workshop masterpiece part. Carter, Josh, Rob and the old guard I hope they’re watching this and it makes them proud 🥲 The torch has been passed.
For some reason the song added to the ending half of the video made it feel nostalgic and made me think how far I'm willing to go with skateboarding, I have never felt more Inspired in my life. I love this video
What is happening, im getting chills!!! This incredible piece of art serves both as an homage to and as an embodiment of east coast skateboarding. The pace, the cuts, the music, the trick selection. This probably one of the few videos where everything is perfect. Bravo! Motherfucking bravo!
*Attention* (big) brands who just make boring videos of skate clips strung together without much thought. This is how you do it. Amazing skating, amazing filming and editing, and great music choices. My second favourite part of the year so far.
I've been incredibly down for Joey O'Brien for a long time now, but honestly Chris Mulhern is just as much the star of this -- a god among men. The energy of this edit is amazing, and the workshop/koyaanisquatsi vibes he is channeling are transcendent
These guys are sooo fucking good at skateboarding and digital media and that synergy is legit art. The skill level and amount of work y'all put in inspires me.
This is one of the best parts I've ever seen!! What a fucking incredible achievement by everyone involved, the skating and filming/editing were in perfect harmony and the music choices... wow It's been a Long time since a skate part gave me goosebumps watching it, the feeling of knowing you are witnessing something truly rare and special.
Mulhern never disappoints. Cinematic gold. Just’s beautifully edited and filled part. East coast power. Mach speed approach. Tricks on tricks. Hats off to you both
I don't know why I've never heard of this guy before but man am I glad I clicked on this. Amazing part and dope editing, reminded me of an Alien Workshop vid.
Easily one of my favorites. His bails and slams are as much fun to watch as his makes. Cartwheels and barrel rolls. Stay safe And keep raising the bar dude!!
Oh my god! This was awesome from start to finish! One of the best video part I've ever seen. The trick selection, the spots, the filming, the editing, the visuals, the trick selection. Wonderful.
That kind of reminded me of Mike Mo's part in fully flared with the music and everything but this dude has a sick style. One of the best videos for sure!
This guy may not win SOTY but I don't imagine someone is going to put out a better part in 2021. Tricks, style, music, editing. Thanks Joey and Alien
I feel the same. This is something else.
Remember when mark suciu didnt won the soty 2019 👀💔
@@allenrivaschasco9935 Still blows my mind.
@@einnorw Agreed which is why its lost its appeal to me. Besides last year. No controversy in Mason getting SOTY. THAT was a year of pure ripping.
Some damn fine skating
Adidas should give this guy a pay hike. He makes them look good
The wild thing is he’s not officially on the team
Seriously!
you think he gets paid?
no theyll just keep showing tyshawn clips of him ollieing over a trash can
He actually works full time as a carpenter
Everything is perfect in this video, music edit and skateboarding.
Foda d+
I back this 💯
My thoughts exactly.
The third song reminds me of one used in a movie. Does somebody remember the movie?
@@kalypto "Floe" was featured on the soundtrack of the 1989 Italian horror film The Church
Shoulda know, Mulhern cinematography, east coast alien workshop vibes. shit was so fiiiiirrreee.
Has a lil photosynthesis feel to it….. 🔥
I thought the same exact thing. Plus this dude is crazy talented on a skateboard, the ollie up and b/s big spin on the angle wall. True city street skater
@@joeyrivera576 exactly what I thought. One of my favorite vids all time too. This was dope
@@starlitshadows right as soon as I watched it. Felt like it could have been in the habitat section 🔥
Honestly i never knew this skater before but i love how he master the speed of his tricks, man killing every spot
That part was insane, maybe the best part I have seen all year. Props to Joey O'Brien!
This is a skateboarding, filming, and editing masterpiece
👏🍉🕊🦉🦅🦅🦉🕊🍉🤙
☺⚡ 110% 😚🙏
It is.
This felt like a dream. One where everything is good and allright but can never be real.
To anyone who’s just now familiar with this dude… watch his Sabotage 4 part as well.

I remember that edit. I love Omar and thought it was really sick, but this is truly something. Mulhern is a god.

the editing, the skating in this video is unbelievable shit made me shiver
Wow. I was in no hurry to watch this, and that's my bad. This is insane! Bigspin on the slant is fucked!
So fuckin crazy
That was one of the jaw-dropping moments.
That was the one for me too. Face melted.
The dude is obviously a suciu fan.
Bro! How does one even go about that? That was wild.

Best part of 2021!!!! Hands down
*Attention* (big) brands who just make boring videos of skate clips strung together without much thought.
This is how you do it. Amazing skating, amazing filming and editing, and great music choices.
My second favourite part of the year so far.
Absolutely mind blowing, makes everyone else seem slow motion
It feels like this was a lost part from Minefield where AVE, Busnenitz and Heath Kirchart had a secret love child. Love it.
Weird image but correct influences!
This video deserves an award for the best skate vid of 2021!
So amazing!
He got best part on Quarter Snacks
Impeccable. Beautiful. SOTY worthy part.
I've been incredibly down for Joey O'Brien for a long time now, but honestly Chris Mulhern is just as much the star of this -- a god among men. The energy of this edit is amazing, and the workshop/koyaanisquatsi vibes he is channeling are transcendent

Siiiiiiick style!! Best part of the year, easily.
One of the best parts I've seen this year
I never thought I would hear Philip Glass in a skate video, even less from Trasher. I'm happy about it :)
Definitely going down as a classic part for sure.
Masterclass! Absolutely crushed it
I used to see him at Ambler Skate Plaza throwing kicky back tails full speed on the granite ledge, that was in 2012.
Best part I have seen since mark suciu verso, jesus everything is perfect, everytime he rolls away looks like he is cruising…
This is one of the best parts I've ever seen!! What a fucking incredible achievement by everyone involved, the skating and filming/editing were in perfect harmony and the music choices... wow
It's been a Long time since a skate part gave me goosebumps watching it, the feeling of knowing you are witnessing something truly rare and special.
maybe the most underrated skater for the past few years
Mulhern never disappoints. Cinematic gold. Just’s beautifully edited and filled part. East coast power. Mach speed approach. Tricks on tricks. Hats off to you both
we better give a huge thank to Joey and Chris Mulhern for such a great beauty of work
Fuck i would love to see a rough cut of this. So sick. That style and creativity
I don't know why I've never heard of this guy before but man am I glad I clicked on this. Amazing part and dope editing, reminded me of an Alien Workshop vid.
I see you Chris Mulhern! Another masterpiece that makes me feel skateboarding videos are still worth watching.
This is art
Insanely well put together part. The music the cinematography and the skateboarding is excellent!!
Wow. Just wow. Incredible part. Joey, you killed it.
This is the best trick selection of any part I’ve ever seen and possibly of all time...
That is honestly in the top 5 parts of all time for me holy shit.
Powerful style. Raw.
Good soundtrack.
Nice piece.
One the best parts of the year!
Easily one of my favorites. His bails and slams are as much fun to watch as his makes. Cartwheels and barrel rolls. Stay safe And keep raising the bar dude!!
Perfected his tiger style. Flawless victory. Incredible. Thankyou
Ughhhh it’s so damn good!! Favorite part of the year. Incredible editing and amazing song choices. I need like 20 Untitled’s, not just 5.
Wow ... A true masterpiece of streetskating
this makes me wanna buy all the alien boards
What a perfect part, I really hope this gets more views. He deserves the recognition as well as the filmer

Wow! Tricks, song, cut... perfect! Enjoyed watching it and will do again!
Mulhern is the reason I must watch this
Video part of the year maybe for me personally, so much style
This was absolutely beautifully shot. Love a part with a double ender
Everything you want in a Part! Full of bangers
Really love this dude's skating.
One of the few videos in a while that I've watched more than a couple of times.
This is some of the best skating I’ve seen in Philly.
Wow amazing skateboarding!!! Best part ever made ❤️
The filming, skating, editing, all of it. So good.
My fav trick was fakie 180 fs 50. You never see that at he locked in the 50 so well.
No nonsense just skill and style. Best part 2021
Wow Dude that was probably one of the best parts I've seen in awhile. So much power behind each trick.
Really happy to see alien is alive and well with riders like this. Love those photosynthesis vibes. Kudos 👌
The winter footy has such an epic feeling..
Dude absolutely shreds. Flawless solid style and loads of speed. No nonsense.
You can tell this dude skates every day all day! How the hell else could you stack up some much quality footage!
So many clips unique style good songs great filming.. enjoyed this
WOW!! That was perfect!!! The Swan Building Rail was a fantastic ending!
Gotta be the most criminally underrated skateboarder ever
Keep it going Joey; you are a long way from the days killing at Wedge!
Fast, tech, precise and creative, perfect part, dude is going places for sure.
How is it possible to dislike a part like this?!
So stoked to see Joey getting it! Went to school back in the day with guy! Always knew he would be shredding for life! Great job man!
MASTERPIECE!
this was an amazingly pleasant surprise.
That kind of reminded me of Mike Mo's part in fully flared with the music and everything but this dude has a sick style. One of the best videos for sure!
The perfect part! Style, trick, spot and montage!🙏🏻
Loved seeing a video in Philly. Also, digging the cinematic production value.
One of the best videos I’ve seen in a LONG time. Those spots are so raw!
A true masterpiece. The editing is insane on that one. Props.
Really good filming, editing, music and locations in this vid
This is what skateboarding and skateboarding videos are supposes to be.
