I'm surprised that speed runners barely check the Travelling Cart if at all. I get that it's out of the way and every second counts but if you roll a hard to get item like a sturgeon, truffle, or red cabbage seed, it can save a lot of time.
I just got an ancient fruit seed for $700 at the cart. Hadn’t even found on yet in this run through. So that was extra promising. I also once found 5 seafoam pudding for $1000/each.
@@LittleLondonCottages me too i got it for 700g and im on like year 2 and i only have 20k g and i literally bought all of it. Now i just plant them then put all of the ancient fruit i harvested to the seed maker and then boom infinite seeds now my money is 5m
The route basically allows you to have the cards you need in tandem with eachother so there's little time used in getting them normally. CC% can be broken with cart strats though, Haboo just doesn't want it to go that way
I've found at least on RUclips, speedrunners will check the Cart. But it's usually for longer runs

Remember a new farm I started a while ago, I checked the traveling cart and she had ancient seeds at like 500 gold each in the early game(if I recall, it was a while ago so the price may have been a tad higher but still). I snatched those up real fast lmao
I actually found some ancient seeds from the traveling cart and (from what ive seen) the price did increase. Mine were 120 (i think)

I just give everyone coffee and it gets me to full hearts with almost everyone pretty quickly. The exceptions are Jas and Vincent, but for them I just find flowers or fruits that they like and keep them in a chest near Jodi's house.

Tea saplings are so good in the early game.
Just give Caroline your excess daffodils and talk to her every day to get her 2 heart cutscene and go into her greenhouse and she'll give you the tea plant recipe. Only sell for 500 gold but you can craft/sell them any season and you can easily craft ~30 of them after one wild seeds harvest which will get you 15000 gold.
I got around 30,000 gold from selling tea saplings by the end of spring
So worth it
When it comes to wood, people overlook the lumberjack profession of the forester branch of foraging skill, because the botanist profession of the gatherer branch is normally better for money (cause truffles), but in both early and mid game, when your still in need of large amounts of wood, selecting the lumberjack profession and chopping down the entire cindersap forest yields on average around 1000 wood and a comperable amount of hardwood that can be converted to wood all in a day if you get all the trees chopped down before having to go to bed for the day. Late game when you have a steady stream of money, you can switch between the forester/lumberjack and the gatherer/botanist skill sets for both good money and large amounts of resources.
*trees outside of the farm regrow on average every 24 days (they don't regrow naturally in winter however) but you can use tree fertilizer on them if you need more super quickly, it just takes 5 fiber and 5 stone to craft, but a much cheaper way to obtain it is to complete gunther's quest for bone fragments and then use the bone mill on all those extra prehistoric bone items that find their way into your inventory over time. The wiki has a full list of items the bone mill can turn into different types of fertilizer but tree fertilizer is fairly common.
The traveling cart happens to be the only place in stardew that competes with perrie when it comes to fruit trees, if you get lucky you can get a discount on the price of the saplings, it can also be a life saver for people running the community center, with the right luck anyway) as the cart can sell out of season items and year 2 crops and seeds in year 1 (I still have a grudge with that red cabbage in the dye bundle).
Yup, the lumberjack profession is totally busted early to mid game, especially if you are still cleaning the farm or have a tree nursery. And like you said, the great thing is you can switch professions later on to botanist when you have enough wood to get by, then switch back over when you need more. This is the method i use the most
I just tried perfection "as quick as possible". Could have been faster for sure, playing on ps4, so animation cancelling isn't a thing.
Took me weeks in real life, but I finished it in summer 13, year 3. Friendships and the golden clock where the last things remaining. Game is just so much fun.
I always have this morning routine of watering the plants, then petting and collecting the animals and their profits, grabbing the items from my cave, and selling it all, then going to town

@@Waligug salad basically mines real crypto currency that the company then keeps and gives you a lot less than they earn in the form of giftcards, plus with the increasing cost of electricity its bad on your electricity bill as well as your components

I find my self being all, 'I need to do this', eg head to desert or catch a season exclusive fish, and then I forget to do these because I am trying to make friends with those out of the way NPC. I tell my self to visit the Wizard on travelling cart days because I always remember her.

If something sounds too good to be true it's because it is. I would NOT use Salad.

Salad does not harm your computer, I would not promote it if it did. Please do some basic research before commenting lol
Assuming you use it properly - like don't overclock your card and use salad but in general overclocking your card and doing GPU intensive things isn't good for it so it's not really JUST a salad thing.
I find that tea is great for making friends. It's liked by everyone, except the kids, and its easy to get loads of. I use the saplings instead of fences around my animals since they don't decay, so thats like 50 tea each day in the last week of the season, so youll never run out. Plus it gives a speed boost
For late game Pierre’s missing stocklist is great for crops during the winter.
Omg tip #1 though 😂 I was literally cursing at myself last night because I forgot I ran out of iridium and had to struggle in the mines for nearly 2 hours 😂

for stone i think its better just destroying gray rocks and big ones, gray rocks give 2 to 4 stone per one and with basic pickaxe you can destroy them in 2 hits

Dust sprites drop coal.
Let's just imagine that there's no coal ore because people already mine most of them back in the day/it came to life and became Dust Sprites/ or it's fave food for monsters idk lol.
I checked the traveling cart on my first friday. Ended up getting an ancient seed for 150 gold.
I really wish getting dangerous mines for radioactive ore wasn't rng. That's the thing I hate the most about this game. We need it to complete the game. Why is it so hard to get it unlocked...

I've gotten rather used to playing modded. Key mods I use are lookup anything ( for far less time needing to be spent on the wiki), fishing overlay, automate (satisfying turning stardew into factorio), and chests anywhere (yes somewhat cheaty, but the convenience is nice)

As a late game player dupe the statue of perfection a lot to get like 400+ iridium ore a day

I have 61 of the statues and get like 350 iridium a day.
@@Scoobydoobiedoo271 at grandpa's shrine. Make sure you have your statue nearby. Then fill up your inventory with something you can throw in the trash. Then use the pickaxe to hit the statue. It will then be unable to be picked up. Basically it's floating around. Then click on grandpa's shrine it will give you another one. Trash one item of least value. Pick up both statues. Then place them back down. I usually fill back my inventory with a piece of wood. Then repeat the action.
There is a chest organization mod that let's you auto fill chests from your inventory so you don't have to go which chest did I put my stuff in.
