I L🩷VE Florida 😊. Feeling the ocean breeze, smelling the salt air, and soaking in the sun is perfection to my soul. My son is looking for a job in Florida. When/if he gets hired and then moves to FL, I'll follow him soon after. Regarding friends, my adult life was the absolute loneliness from my 30s to 60. When I retired at 60 years old, my entire world changed. I've made dozens of new friends through playing pickleball. It's crazy but true.
You will love it here! The beach just does something to you. Every time I come back, I feel so clean and refreshed, and I have a nice little tan, lol. I'm glad you were able to make friends later on in life. I feel like the older you get, the easier it is its not all drama, and you know what you want. I am so happy for you and hope you make it to FL soon!
Hey Ana, I can relate. I've spent a lot of time thinking about the "I have no friends thing". I'm 31, still single. And yes, lot of it is just down to me being reserved and stuff. But for the most part I learnt to somewhat appreciate my own company .I spend most sundays to myself going out alone, even going to the restaurant alone. I've even gone on vacation alone to the netherlands and belgium. A daunting prospect I will admit, but it's not really in me to wait around for someone to do things with.
@wafflaar1067, That's exactly how I see it. It's not easy when we already have our lives, and we have to bring new friends into that and see if you click as friends and hope that it works out or having to start over. WOW, that's awesome! Good for you, don't let that ever stop you from doing what you want to do or go. The right person will come along. You're still very young enjoy doing what you love, and in that, you will find your friends and the right person for you.
