No they wouldn’t make a good bloody pet. Why would you ask a question like that? Who has an arboream full of tropical ants in their garden for them to live in? Why put the idea of having non domesticated animals as pets, let alone wild and rare ones?
Well honestly if you have a big fake tree you can put it in a enclosure with a any hill inside, like your own mini zoo but id just buy one save it from traders and bring it to a zoo so it can live a lazy life of food, fucking and peace
Here's the right answer folks, thank you for your comment! We absolutely agree with you that wild animals are not suitable as pets, and the question was meant to spark exactly this kind of important discussion. If we didn't have the question, people would gravitate towards the idea of having a pet anyway in the comments, having it triggers the correct response faster and sets the tone/ standard for the comment section. It's vital to discourage the idea of keeping non-domesticated animals as pets, and 'm glad to see thoughtful responses like yours that set the right tone for our community. Thanks again, we're going to pin this comment for others to see!
He said they weren't rare, for one. And one could live very happily for years feasting on the numerous ants right outside my home in my trees. Though I would never remove one from the wild just to take care of my ant problem. And two, if somebody's going to get an animal like that, they're going to get an animal like that. Talking about wanting one won't put the idea into anyone's head anymore so than showing people how to pick a lock will suddenly create a bunch of burglars. 🙄
Yeah, like the Hondura White Bats. As adorable as those leaf dwellers are, I'd feel better if they were left free and at peace. But I'd totally melt if I could just hold one of them in my hands tho', ain't gonna lie about that.
I don't think it was meant as advertising, more like a genuine question. Lots of animals have become pets over the years, and those who dont are at least taken care of in shelters or profesionnal animal handlers to release back in the wild, which may include pet interractions.
It was a question aimed at generating exactly your response. They know these animals shouldn't be kept as pets, but instead of telling people they aren't and killing the vibe of the video, they let you do it for them.
I know by commenting, I am helping you. NO. They are not meant to be pets. You are a fool for saying that. Cuz there is another damn fool who would want it as a pet. And ruin its life 😠
Damn, my eyes were playing tricks on me... 1st i thought it was a claw from an animal that got stuck. Then i thought: are those fangs like from a spider, what kind of animal is this? Then i saw the head, i said: oh sh1t, i should have known 😅
Why don’t we just leave the animals alone and stop trying to put them in cages because we think they’re cute and we want to watch them slowly deteriorate after they have been dragged from there homes for our entertainment?
To the people saying wild animals shouldnt be pets-unless humanity starts making huge strides in wildland rehabilitation, little guys like this will eventually end up as pets because their habitats will no longer exist.

If you were unaware... That was a rhetorical question. Take a few deep breaths. It's going to be okay.
Cool your jets, Eddie.😂

Looks like predator's from the movie
So sweet but needs not to be taken from the wild.
It’s beautiful and cute, but it should be left to its natural environment.
Yes but it's still ADORABLE 😍

Looks like a giant paw
My thoughts exactly
Yeah I thought it was a big cats paw at first
Same until they talked about the animal name and then i could notice the face of the animal
Anteater: COME AT ME BRO!! >__<
Silky Anteater: UwU
Don't be advertising wild animals as pets.

After 30yrs on this planet, this Is the first time I ever heard of this creature. Incredible
That’s so cute, probably makes for a bad bet with its wittle hook hands. Never before has something with hooks for hands been so cute
Thing is cute though
I've got a TON of food for one, or 10.
As long as they eat fire ants.

It's like a sloth and an anteater blended together! Kinda cool!
Not surprisingly, as it’s in superorder Xenarthra, which comprises anteaters, sloths, and armadillos.
I thought it was a tiny sloth at first.
I was thinking of a malformed gopher, but even I saw that its too symmetrical to be malformed.

I thought it was some weird alien spider rodent as well 😂
TBF, I thought it was a big animal paw too at first. I had no idea about Silky Anteaters untill now.
Wow legit first time seeing this. Amazing!
Don't start that pet shit
Another Pokémon.
Pretty much.
Oh pls don't make ppl ideas for "pets" 😐😐😐 wild animals should stay in the wild ☹️
No!!! Let them live FREE. This creature does not want to be someones 'pet'.
So freaking cute, I want one!
Why does everyone feel the need to pet everything? lol. It looks so scared. It's closing its eyes like it's wishing the perceived threat away.
Why don’t we just leave the animals alone and stop trying to put them in cages because we think they’re cute and we want to watch them slowly deteriorate after they have been dragged from there homes for our entertainment?
I thought it was a paw…
So Cute !!
Very cute but not a pet!!
To the people saying wild animals shouldnt be pets-unless humanity starts making huge strides in wildland rehabilitation, little guys like this will eventually end up as pets because their habitats will no longer exist.
💯💯
So adorable
No, please not for pet trade. Please.
Poor little guy trying to sleep. And what the fuck NO THE WILD ANIMAL WOULD NOT MAKE A GOOD PET.
It's adorable 😍
It’s called a sandshrew 🙄
I thought it was a paw

Tamanduaí.
That animal is an antiter
I was flashed

Any creature can be a good pet if provided with a suitable environment and lots of love.
What an underrated channel
