San Francisco Bay Halibut CEVICHE!

  • Take a ride with us on the Gatherer Outfitters - a boat named after multiple generations of fishermen - as we troll for Halibut. Captain Adam shows us some methods he uses to catch Halibut in the San Francisco Bay, and shows us how he prefers to fillet a halibut. The Gatherer is the only 6-pack boat in the SF bay that provides food (Salmon burrito, and halibut ceviche that day) for their passengers. This trip was considered a slow day, but we still had lots of action and fun - regardless if you're new to fishing or a pro, this is a great boat to be on.
Visual Bender Media collaborated with us to provide some of the raw clips - if you want the full ceviche recipe, they will be making a video about this.

Does Gatherer provide all the gear too? Or do you bring your own rod and tackle/bait? They look like a great charter to try out.

Thank you for sharing I like your videos they're always informative but this one little trick you left out of your Seviche which a lot of people don't do add a little bit of shredded carrots you'll see the taste is lot sweeter and just a little different than everybody else's I can't tell you all my secrets but that's one of them I have a RUclips channel called cholodeyolofishing.

Lol those halibut are the size of sole here in BC. I would be pissed if I got a Hali under 20lbs. We call 30lbers "chickens".

Broxty There is a huge difference between Pacific Halibut and a California Halibut. California Halibut are more related to Flounder found on the gulf and East Coast.

great post, grew-up there in the 70's and 80's. Loved the Bay area, and now thanks to the dems it's a shit hole. Have you taken a Geiger counter to any of these fish, do ya think Fukushima has had any effect on local fisheries?
