There is a robbery in every state. The law is not on most peoples side in some cases. I live in small town called Statesville in the US, last week alone they had about 20 robberies in June 2024. Nobody got arrested for any of those crimes.

NC state don't allow anyone here to chase or follow a criminal, if you harm them, you would be the one they put in jail. You can get 6 months in prison that. It happen to me. I had a warrant for my arrest on Sunday years ago. I didn't serve time or nothing. The case got thrown out for some reason. The criminal had a long rap sheet. The criminal press charges on me. I was shocked that happen. I read the mess up laws in NC.

In a case down here in L.A. two black male adults were running up on a man getting out of his car in his driveway in the Hollywood Hills. He shot and defended his home with his wife and toddler inside. The revoked his concealed carry permit.
So what I see is the persons home was broken in while the resident was inside defends himself as an elderly and put in jail. The criminals driving a stolen vehicle carrying a hand gun real or not and face little to no charges. I guess the DA want home owners not to defend themselves even if it results in brutal murder of the home owner. Well that is what the city voted for in general.
