Some people want to live amongst many other people with lots going on, and some people don't like that and want to live more of a rural life. The cost of homes will *almost* always go up regardless of popularity.
Yea, bring people in, when they falsely inflate the economy. The manufacturing jobs pay the same as what my mother made retiring from a brake oven in the 90s. And there are no manufacturers hiring here at the moment.
