One store the mall used to have before Covid was a wonderful videogame store called "Electronic Playground" where you could buy videogames, but also pay to stay and play videogames overnight when they'd close up shop until open, and they would order pizza and soda like mountain dew, and they'd have guitar hero, xboxes, and playstations. Genuinely miss that place a ton.
those type of stores and "internet cafes" seemed to get a little popular in the 90s, at least i knew of some coming up they thought were going to be huge companies, even worked for a company that owned a couple of the internet cafes, and really wanted to have my own some day, that more focused on LAN parties, with just several networked pcs... but then the idea went away when internet connection got to the point you could just download games, and play online so easily, why go someplace to play them when you can either do it at home or at a friends house.
My local mall. It's not thriving as it once did, but it has been in worse shape than it currently is. Millennials have been opening shops (the toy stores, a place to play tabletop games, the anime coffee shop, art store, etc) and it's creating a neat little underground vibe. We even have axe throwing across from the arcade. It's a strange environment, but it's trying in its own way and it's kinda beautiful.
Hope Dicehead and Plus Ultra are able to save up enough to find another space to rent out when Bradley Square goes under. Both great places that are hampered by the mall's under-performance.
My wife and I used to go to this mall (our local mall) to shop at a specialty soda store called Pop and Fizz. They also sold popcorn. We LOVED that place. Lots of unique sodas to try. We'd go to Six Happiness for Chinese food first, then Pop 'n Fizz and then home to watch movies and try the sodas. Good times. They went out of business though... Hate that...
I'm local and I'm actually shocked the mall does as well as it does being effectively in a zombie like state for years. It was even remodeled somewhat recently and there's a nice anime-themed coffee shop.
Even back when it opened, for actually shopping, we drove to Hamilton Place, the kids used it to hang out, I spent hours there. And you could smoke inside
Good to see the local mall getting coverage. As nice as it was there was no way it could compete with the Hamilton Place Mall just 30 minutes away. Definitely didn't help the Bradley Square.
Ay! Didn’t expect to see Cleveland in any videos on my recommended page! I work at ultimate bunker games in the mall! I’m pretty sure the only thing keeping this city afloat are the superhero Saturdays they host every now and then. (Edit): Ultimate Bunker Games is not usually open because it is an appointment based business for the most part. Also we don’t have enough staff to keep it open all the time lol. And yes, it still looks abandoned in there. Legitimate liminal space photos. I’ve taken some from the back rooms of the place. Horrifying, lol. We will be open next Saturday, or so my schedule says.
Wasn't expecting to see my hometown mall here, but I suppose it's fitting. I can't begin to describe how many memories I have of this mall in better days. Dice Head and the fucking Great American Cookie of all things are the last hold outs from the old days that just won't give up. It'll be a sad day when this old thing finally bites the dust.
have to agree with the others, very well shot, edited and even commenting with the bit of history. 👍 somehow found myself watching a few videos about malls and really had mixed feelings, i loved them back in the day, but pretty much avoid them now... BUT, really, would probably be better for people to have other places to hang around, besides downtown (where i work now) on the streets. unfortunately the one mall i think that's left in the area (might be one other i'm forgetting) is actually pretty bad, there's been fights, knives, and even at least one incident with gun shots the last couple years... and i'm in a low crime area otherwise.

Sounds like a japanese internet cafe. But ##MURICA
It was so good, they even had vr, too

I live behind Bradley Mall and it's a really nice place. Wish that it would do better.
My local mall!!!! So glad to see this
Love this mall ❤! My family still visits often. Pray 🙏 that it stays open for many more years.

Nice choice of music. The ending was almost emotional 😅
Oh wow I used to go to this mall all the time as a kid
Hibbett moved out of the mall to the outparcel shopping where TJ Maxx and other stores are
that's the Mall me and my family along with my sister used to go there all the time! (thanks for adding in my last visit to K-mart video there!)

I moved here to Cleveland tn 5 years ago and the Bradley mall is just a place to get your steps in now. I walk there everyday to get mine in.

You should do northgate mall in Hixson TN next.
I’ll look it into it!
I used to work at the Kmart and bath and body works. I remember how it looked in the 90s and this hurts.

I live right by this mall and I use to work in the mall
Cool!

That’s cool! Seems like UBG is kind of just taking up space, but I guess it’s better than nothing! Thanks for watching!

I’m just blown away by how good your video editing skills are for a new channel. Great job on this video I look forward to seeing more

Thanks for watching! Some malls are definitely better than others and there’s some places where another “hangout” place is really needed.
Great video and commentary, oh by the way what movie did you watch? Keep em Rolling!
Thanks! I’m not kidding, I actually watched The Garfield Movie lol
@@BRFilmStudios It's August 7! Doomie Grunt wants to add extra stuff in the "Community" tab now.
I recognize the logo on this mall as being in the exact same style and font as Shenango Valley Mall’s logo was
I noticed that too! Same owner at some point I guess?
@@BRFilmStudiosActually no never had the same owner. It was used at many malls by different owners
This mall is cursed.
That mall has sucked ever since golden gate bookstore closed. And that was way before 2005.
From a shoppers perspective, yeah there’s not much to do. It’s a shame…
WHY?
hey jst wondering if you’d like to ever meet up at a mall in GA. like north point or lakeshore if you’d wanna?
Nah sry im really busy but I’ll have to check them out sometime!
@@BRFilmStudios alright!
