I’ve just tuned my Das rig for the fall and it tuned at 44lbs @ 28 3/4” with a 480 grain arrow. How has penetration on deer been for you? This will be my first year to shoot a sub 500 grain arrow and it just feels strange.
Penetration was great. Stuck all arrows through the body into the opposite shoulders of deer. Just stay away from big bone. Used some big broadheads also that worked awesome.
Hi Trey, Interesting video for me, i recently got the same Sanlida limbs but medium length on 21" W&W black elk riser, could not find any Sanlida info on brace height, ive ended up at 8.25", pulling 39/40lb and using 500 spine arrows cut to 27.75". What brace height did you end up at?
Thanks for putting this out there. Had some folks giving me shit for thinking about hunting with a 66” overall recurve on a DAS 21 riser.
I’ll shoot whatever length bow I find most accurate.
Nice setup my friend. Glad you found the arrow you needed. Happy shooting brother.
Thank you! Back at ya!

I have been finding my best results between 7 3/4 and 8 1/4. I think I am just shy of 8 1/4 right now.
