    Are these trails the fragments of the grenade?

      Yes. Currently I have the value set to 1180 fragments. Which is the approximate number of fragments of an M67 fragmentation grenade. Obviously, this can cause lag spikes/hitches depending on the scenario so I'm still working on optimization.

      So 1180 calculations all within a second can cause some issues. I just need to find some workarounds to still get the same quality of shrapnel simulation.

      ​@@mantalissdevPerhaps the shrapnel in lines of characters or vehicles would be enough for this fragmentation effect

      @@Aaa-u2h5zstill would need to cast those rays to determine where those objects are or alternatively you can have a sphere collider whatever if overlapping with it beam those rays into that direction

    very cool, would suggest making the game an actual game before you go for simulating everything 1 to 1. i know its hard to make unreal engine 5 do anything at a stable framerate but please, for the love of god spend some time on optimizing your meshes and ai. also side note having the organs and gore loaded all at once is not good, maybe do a system where the gore models (internal organs ect) are loaded in once a bone in the ragdoll has taken a set amount of damage. still it is your project and honestly you must be commended for making such a realistic system, just needs to run a little smoother than granite on a car hood to be appreciated by people.
