If you know how he plays French tanks, we're a real threat. But for that you must first succeed in overcoming the low tier, I think that's what scares many beginners. France has many unique tanks that set it apart from other nations.
I would say the state of low tier France is leagues better then it used to be. The amc 35 is not a bad car at all and you get a lot of good vehicles. only real issue is most guns at that no tier(reserve) gets either explosive filler or larger shells. I'm with you though that for a new player its def not a beginner friendly nation.

I think general winrate is a bad way to conduct any sort of analysis because it is often offset by sales of premium vehicles. The Soviet winrate tanked after the Turms came out. Another thing of note, is that if you look at Japan, 10.0 for ground RB simply doesn't exist. (there is a black hole of 9.3 to 11.0) The winrates are more indicative of what nations Japan gets placed alongside with. Similarly, it is important to think about what lineups you can get for what battle ratings. Japan has 4 vehicles higher than 10.0, all of them being MBTs. Russia, has at least 16.
tbh it also very sketch winrates because 8.7 has the object 279 its not op but its very good anyone who plays it normally are pro players and get tons of kills same with the turms
Problem with soviet lineups is that they are quite not good™, cuz t72 lane is pepe popo tier except t90/72b3. T 80 are good, but if you don't count squadron veh, there are only 3 of them, and 80b is clearly don't match even 10.0 of other major nations. 2s25 is alright, you get t72 gun with good mobility, but you are litteraly a glass canon. Than there is cursed atgm, and there are Pantsir, which is completely not busted™. But before pantsir every other country exept sov and sweden has a IR AAA with interference prot, so it depends.
This tierlist is just bad overall, Japan is one of the worst nations you can play, and will just make any noob quit the game for good(if they play ground or get far enough to use jets) not only that Japan has no good SPAA. France has bad early game but some of the strongest lineups are french ground and mirage's are okay with magic 2's. Russia and Usa should both be S tier because they are always gonna get everything first while others gets stuff last. Sweden and Britain are the Only A tiers imo, Sweden has some really strong lineups, and Britain is slowly getting better, Italy got a little bump with the Hungarian tree so ill give them a B, Germany gets a B because they are constantly being nerfed(See tiger uptiered changes recently) China ill put them in a C along with Israel, China has a good aviation and some good light vehicles but the main tanks suffer like soviet tanks with bad reverse speed and in chinas case worse armor, Israel is a C due to not having much variety in ground, the air tree has some decent planes and a unique F16d variant
@@MagnusMageJapan’s is overhyped in terms of it being a horrible nation. Its navy and air are both very capable compared to other nations, and their ground forces only has a iffy start in reserve but once you get the ball rolling and know what vehicles to get, its not that bad. Especially when despite their poor armor, it’s also just as common to find the trend of very good guns in the Japanese tech tree. And once you get to mid and high tier, they regularly can keep up with other nations.
What you forgot to mention is that a new player must reach rank 4 in one other nation before they can jump to Israel for both air and ground. For ground you need to have a rank 4 vehicle unlocked and bought from either USA, UK, USSR or France (one of the nations is enough) and for air you need a vehicle from either USA, UK or France (no USSR since they didn't capture aircraft). So that is very variable since there's a different amount of vehicles in the nations from above from rank 1 to rank 4 and then you add the 20 vehicles needed.
Personally chinese tech tree is the best because you work a little to grind the early tiers but after that the tech tree has some of the best top tier experience ever. Plus you get to play and try a bit of everything in a single tech tree from mid tier

As a German main, I get why some people are frustrated, but we're at the point now in WT where the US and Russia have so many vehicles while other nations don't. For the time being its a matter of giving the US and Russia their respectable vehicles, and then having to come up with something for the other nations because their next vehicles would be way too strong/advanced, nations such as Britain, Sweden, Germany, etc. TLDR: All the other nations are stuck with copy/paste until the US/Russia catch up with the other nations' best tech.
Do a most fun countries tier list. Because the US tech tree has 6 shermans in a row with minor upgrades fixing obvious weakspots to replace them with a different one until the tank can get center of massed. And yes the Abrams is good but getting to top tier is more boring than golf. I think that is more important that how OP countries are.
Sherman firefly is a British vehicle which had to be modified to fit the big gun. I would call it a British legendary vehicle, but sadly the chasse American.
It should probably be stated though that, assuming this video is meant to target someone who’s basically new to the game, countries with larger tech trees such as the US, the grind is certainly much larger/longer than other countries but this can also be a somewhat of a good thing depending on how you wanna look at it. If you’re newer to the game and wanna grind out the air tree without using a premium vehicle, I’d assume they would end up spading (getting all mods) for each new plane they unlock and as you climb BR’s and get new planes you’ll find opportunities to utilize newer weapon mods and systems to not only get comfy with but also learn more aspects of gameplay for say air RB which will prove to be useful experience later on when they are ready to move to a different tech tree to begin grinding
@@janvanderbusse2629 In my opinion yes, at first it may be hard for low tier tanks but once you make it to the death wedges you'll be good. For aviation high tier may be a little more difficult but once you get either the viggen or draken you'll be good.

I want to add that low tier germany does have some very strong tanks. The win rate is just not as good as the others because many new players dream of their infamous Tiger .. They start with germany and get stomped because they don't know how to play(we all know and love our most aware german mains). They get their Tiger eventually and get stomped again. (Or they google what they are doing wrong and switch to the panther)

yeah me too, i for a long time wacked everything with all the low tier italian vehicles, especially the tanks by angling them at range they can tank and bounce so many rounds and every penetration usually results in a kill with their APHE
You are just good at the game. The average player is not. But it may not just be italy's fault. Only A handfull of italian vehicles are in a match since there are not a lot of italian players and italy is usually paired another country (Usually germany).
Keep in mind when it comes to win rate not to take it at face value. A popular high BR premium can heavily skew the win rate, same with popular nations to play at lower BRs since new players will flock to that specific country.
Israel may seem like a skip tier but its really good for people that want to play a combination of US UK and France with better weapons but don't want to go through all 3 countries just to get to higher tiers.
You forgot that you have to already have reached tier V in another nation to start Israel. Post war France is well known for two things, their fighters and their air defense systems. For a while France was exporting aircraft as hard as the Soviet Union and the United States. Their Mirages influenced the designs of the Kfir and the Viggen.
Not a bad video actually lovely. This I mean as constructive criticism. 1. Except for the tryhards no one will play daily for 3-4h 2. Let us be straight no one will grind out a tech tree in 3 weeks. I (with premium bf 109 w/o premium time) grinded out the US tech tree to 1 11.0 jet in 1+ plus 3. The native vehicles. I think there are 2 types of players. The first who know why are they coming (T-34; tiger......) and the ones that either never heard one fighter or tank or maybe one or two. so ok for example if I am coming for the F16 (strictly) I wont really care about the M4 or the F4U..... so I think this should be a factor 4. Other factors: I think some *really* important things were left out. For tanks lineups for aircraft great fighters for every BR/rank; premiums are important too . 5. The heatmaps are really a unique idea but to be fair some players will be better than others. If someone is really great heat maps don't really matter to them for others maybe more This is *only* my opinion but UK what if do you want to rank them as native vehicles you i am happy for you.
Yes, I can see what you mean. I could've indeed included a lot more stuff to determine where the countries should sit. I will keep this in mind for my next video, thank you very much for your constructive critism!
China should be atleast B tier. Russia as a common ally Small tech tree Very good top tier SPAA/MBT’s Excellent aircraft for really all Br’s Absolutely insane 10.0, 11.7, 6.0 and 8.0 lineups Very good cas options (one of the best F-16’s in the game) Good tank destroyers at mid br’s China also has one of the highest win rates at top tier. Best IR missile in the game. (TY-90’s) Amazing helicopter tree Amazing shells at all br’s Stabilizers and NVG’s (and thermals) pretty early Probably some of the best premiums in the game China is literally better than Italy at most BR’s, I really have no clue how it’s lower than it.
I'm sorry but this video just has too much misinformation for me to agree with. Aside from the other comments already mentioning the unrealistic grind time, I don't agree with BR heatmaps being a factor for ranking, as that would be no different to endorsing Gaijin's balance around player stats. "Legendary natives vehicles" also seem to be a very strange thing to consider for a country tier list, as it's more of a subjective topic. Players who have less time or interest to grind multiple trees to the top have good reason to play a country that has content from a mixture of multiple tech trees. Having a lot of variety of vehicles to choose and play from is also something I personally see as a good thing. Also, while you are making an analysis on entire countries that include all of the sub-trees from Army to Naval, it seems to me that only Aviation is touched on. You sprinkle some ground stuff here and there, but the video is primarily on planes. Consequently, you only mention time it would take for the average player to reach top tier for Air, and *assume* it would take the same amount of time for ground as well which quite often is not the case, as the two game modes play out very differently and require a different skillset to perform at (ie. top fragging in every plane game doesn't mean you could do the same in tanks). Finally, you don't seem to have "fun factor" included for any given country to play aside from looking at BR heat maps, which i would argue is completely unrelated. I'm sure at least most of us would rather play out games as the terminator and lose, than to immediately die and win. I have played this game for a good while (3000+ hours), and though admittedly not as much as others, I consider myself to be at least above average in player skill level and have completed numerous tech trees myself including Japan completely (100% Ground and Air), France high tier (AMX-32 120 and Mirage IIIE), Russia mid-high tier (Obj. 906 and MiG 27), China high tier (ZTZ96A and F-100A), and Israel completely (100% Ground and Air) with good progress currently on other countries as well. I would also like to point out that despite your tierlist having an S tier, no country is included to being the "best". Maybe the way you see S tier is being perfect, and not just relative to other countries. Which is fine, but I thought I'd chip in on my thoughts toward what you had to say. Have a good day

I dont agree with about 50% of the heat maps, but i gues this is overall statistic and hard to compare to own experiences. Sweden AIR as an example i find very hard to belive has the overall W/R that your heatmap suggests.

@@wobblewarfare4494 For real... like at least give us a shitty copy/paste tech tree if you're not gonna try hard enough to make the low-tier part of the tech tree
We could say that those high-ish winrates from those smaller nations don't really portray the reality most people will have whilst playing them. Since smaller nations usually get a lower percentage of players per match (like 2-3 as far as I remember) chances are that those wins are caused by a smaller group of above average players "carrying" the rest of the team. Since the ammount of players in which the win depends is lower, a subpar or even average player expecting to win just by being in a favorable area of the heatmap might end up halving their nation's performance in a match. This would probably bring their win rates to around a similar percentage as the ones from other nations.
"The lower French BR is very bad", yet I always finish on the podium with my planes, very often first. If you know how to play them they are simply excellent!
@@tjreal2kWhat ? Somua S35 and D2 are just borderline OP when played half decently.... You basically cannot be penned if you angle and keep a bit of distance with your ennemy. Frencyh low tier definitely deserves more credit that it gets
It’s pretty much how long it took me I had the game for quite a while but didn’t play a whole lot till recently and it took like two weeks to get the f-4c (had a premium plane) and maybe another week when the f-16 was released to get that
I have around 450 hours in wt, and around 200 of those are with sweden, so that is about 8 days, plus I have spent a few golden eagles, but could only buy 6 vehicles in total, so that should put me around 14 days, and with all that my beast tank is at 7.7, so i think its pretty doable. ( I had a premium account for a very brief part of the grind, so i guess im about at 16 days).
I think Isreal kinda gets the short end of the stick just considering that until 1948 they werent even a modern country, a whole 3 years after the end of the war in the European Theatre. So it would make sense they dont have a lot of early stuff to choose from because at that time it would just be other countries that they were using if they weren't captured or persecuted and if they were even able to join other militaries.
I only calculated the cost of RP of every aircraft needed to get to the last aircraft in the tech tree. It took me a long time to do it for all 10 nations :D
I am shocked you placed China so low. Their ground lineups are very unique, being able to take Soviet and American vehicles. The only actual major downside to China is the lack of naval. It doesn't really matter how much rp is needed to grind out China, because when you are doing it, you are effectively grinding two nations at once; being America and Russia. The U.K should not be a tier. As a former Britain main, the only good thing about the U.K is that it gets access to UFO spitfires. Overall pretty interesting video, but I think you really dropped the ball on China.
only for the calculation of rp and weeks to get top tier this video is a 10/10 pd: my friends are triying get top tier with china and after this video I realize that they make a bad decision
Its not a bad decision. ESP if you dont own russia/USA, only thing that drags down china a bit is its a lot of copy paste, but if its your main nation to play, and you dont wanna go USA/Russia then its a great nation to get a bit of the orther large nations taste. I also think china has a VERY good br 8.3+ lineups, so they are rather competetive lategame esp if you wanna add choppers or planes to your Ground RB lineups. Mind you i got nearly 4k hours in this game already, so i should know a bit about the grinds and nations. If i started over i would do China/Italy and Sweden or Isreal as my main nations. Considering you will get to play most major nations stuff via those nations combined with more unqie tanks/planes on top of it. Sadly i started playing the game in beta, and didnt have the choises back then so i went full ham on the 3 major nations, making china and Isreal bad picks for me down the line, due to all the copy paste stuff.
I'd put france at c or b tier. Many of the lower rank vehicles that are slow and outgunned become a pain to play. I would not recommend the french ground tree to lower level players, especially those who are new to the game (those of you who report literally anyone who kills you [stop doing that and just get good]), unless you really want to. Sticking through all of the slow tier tanks leads to a fun, more rewarding experience with the faster vehicles, such as the ebr or amx 13 and it's derivatives. The france tree is very special in the fact that gameplay is a lot different than other trees. In Conclusion, If new at game: Highly advise not playing this tech tree If experienced game: 👍 P.S. Give france a squadron vehicle and stop messing with the br so much
A França não e Downtier, No Inicio e Dificil, Mas Quando Vc chega no Arl 44 tudo Muda, E depois que Vc chega nos Autoloaders Melhora Muito, Facilmente Consigo 4 Kills ou Mais Por Partida.
Does this TheGreenlandic dude know whats he's talking about? No way in hell your going to grind the US tech tree in a month with premium while playing 4-6 hours. That's unrealistic.
US = 60 planes Germany = 40 planes Soviet Union = 43 planes Great Britain = 50 planes Japan = 34 planes ( BEST ONE ) China = 48 planes Italy = 41 planes France = 47 planes Sweden = 37 planes Israel = 20 planes
Shitty poorly made list that leaves out the actual effectiveness of lineups and vehicles. The 3 points you used to rank these tech trees are all completely irrelevant. Heat maps from thunderskill are an incredibly unreliable representation of the tree's win rates. How much it takes to reach top tier and number of "legendary vehicles"? People who want to play a good tech tree do not take these into account.
USSR players will suffer in ground.... something has to be wrong with that figure. KV-1 and T-34 are the most easy and comfy tanks to play in the game they practically play the game for you
The heat maps don’t necessarily relate to how good the vehicles are. The larger ‘nations’ get more casual players who will not usually be as good at the game. That means that ‘minor nations’ have more bored experienced players using those vehicles, and so you get a disparity based on skill levels of the players rather than capabilities of the vehicles.
Man I been playing War Thunder since 2013 and haven't reached top tier in any nation yet. I always get to around 9.0-10.0 and get bored and move on to another tree. Almost all my trees are half finished at least lol
My brother in Christ where did you get the times needed to complete the trees from?? I have 800hrs in the game and I'm: Germany: 8.3 G/4.3 A Britain: 6.3 G USA: 6.0 G URSS: 6.0 G You'd need to play like 8 hours a day with a premium account to complete the TTs in that time frame.
Make a video with beginner tipps, common mistakes, your favoutite vehicles and which are the best in the game. Are there maybe OP-ones? I think this would be great
Chinas lack of native vehicles is actually pretty handy because you can try out a lot of really good tanks from other lines to see if you like the play style. Theres a few nations like this, Italy for example, but China was crazy varied. I have recommended it as a nation for a friend starting out because that big / fun part of the game between BR 3.7 and say 6.3 has some 'greatest hits' tanks of other nations so they might figure out which to grind next. Personally I just grind them all. I don't find the game much fun after about 7.3 so i have probably all of the nations up to 6.7 as a minimum except Israel which I skipped because it starts basically where the game starts to get less fun.
The problem with french tanks it's they didn't evolve during the 2nd part of the ww2, so in war thunder they can't do anything against new 1942-1945 tanks, overall
learn to be precise in aiming. after the very start you lose access to rounds with explosive filler, so you have to know where to shoot enemy tanks to disable them. they have great penetration, just poor post-pen damage. also, more often than not all the armour will be on the turret, and especially around the breach. when in doubt, go hull down.

I hope that my english was at least readable, have a good day, random stranger.❤

And yes the Abrams is good but getting to top tier is more boring than golf. I think that is more important that how OP countries are.

1. Except for the tryhards no one will play daily for 3-4h
2. Let us be straight no one will grind out a tech tree in 3 weeks. I (with premium bf 109 w/o premium time) grinded out the US tech tree to 1 11.0 jet in 1+ plus
3. The native vehicles. I think there are 2 types of players. The first who know why are they coming (T-34; tiger......) and the ones that either never heard one fighter or tank or maybe one or two.
so ok for example if I am coming for the F16 (strictly) I wont really care about the M4 or the F4U..... so I think this should be a factor
4. Other factors: I think some *really* important things were left out. For tanks lineups for aircraft great fighters for every BR/rank; premiums are important too .
5. The heatmaps are really a unique idea but to be fair some players will be better than others. If someone is really great heat maps don't really matter to them for others maybe more

Overall pretty interesting video, but I think you really dropped the ball on China.
only for the calculation of rp and weeks to get top tier this video is a 10/10
pd: my friends are triying get top tier with china and after this video I realize that they make a bad decision
For me it is quite the opposite. My winrate in 3.3 or lower in Japan is very high, but past it I struggle very much.
In Conclusion,
If new at game: Highly advise not playing this tech tree
If experienced game: 👍
P.S.
Give france a squadron vehicle and stop messing with the br so much
Definitely agree with you, especially with the squadron vehicle. It has been missing there for over 5 years now
Bro really said japan was good💀
A França não e Downtier, No Inicio e Dificil, Mas Quando Vc chega no Arl 44 tudo Muda, E depois que Vc chega nos Autoloaders Melhora Muito, Facilmente Consigo 4 Kills ou Mais Por Partida.
Does this TheGreenlandic dude know whats he's talking about? No way in hell your going to grind the US tech tree in a month with premium while playing 4-6 hours. That's unrealistic.
Sweden getting a B is just not right.
But overall a pretty fair rating system.
US = 60 planes
Germany = 40 planes
Soviet Union = 43 planes
Great Britain = 50 planes
Japan = 34 planes ( BEST ONE )
China = 48 planes
Italy = 41 planes
France = 47 planes
Sweden = 37 planes
Israel = 20 planes
The thing your not taking into account is how good the vehicles are and the verity of the vehicles
Bro don't account for skill issue
We need a map tier list
Haha a month to get to top tier is the biggest joke he said
Any French main at 5.0-5.7 absolutely demolishes anyone else
How is italy heat map 12/20 with almost most green spots lol?
USSR players will suffer in ground.... something has to be wrong with that figure. KV-1 and T-34 are the most easy and comfy tanks to play in the game they practically play the game for you
Love the Swedish biased rating lol
I have 800hrs in the game and I'm:
Germany: 8.3 G/4.3 A
Britain: 6.3 G
USA: 6.0 G
URSS: 6.0 G
You'd need to play like 8 hours a day with a premium account to complete the TTs in that time frame.
4 weeks to top tier??? I need like 1 year xd
Make a video with beginner tipps, common mistakes, your favoutite vehicles and which are the best in the game. Are there maybe OP-ones? I think this would be great
That thunderbolt has been eating dem big macs
A MONTH 💀💀💀 TO GET TO US TOP TIER💀💀💀
damn, nice bro. been a while since the last long format video lol
Here's the thing on the win ratings, win ratings depends on the players, not the vehicles.
As someone whos stuck in tier 2 in the German air tech tree, that shit SUCKS
What do you mean by legendary native vehicles?
As a new player I look forwards to giving the uk a shot for my first tech tree. Does anyone have any tips
learn to be precise in aiming. after the very start you lose access to rounds with explosive filler, so you have to know where to shoot enemy tanks to disable them. they have great penetration, just poor post-pen damage.
also, more often than not all the armour will be on the turret, and especially around the breach. when in doubt, go hull down.
