In the anime they do have a scene where jiraiya and hiruzen have the talk about his "research" and how he never gets caught, and hiruzen responds with "I'll have to go with you next time" and jiraiya calls him pervy.

After I watched OG and Shippuden and was keeping up with Boruto i watched every Swagkage video on Naruto but he didn't delve into THIS kind of content. Your explanation on why jiraiya wasn't there for Naruto actually made sense, especially since when orochimaru left the village minato was already dead as a matter of fact it was implied it was because of minatos death that orochimaru leaves the village, of course after losing your own student you are gonna try to save your friend because who are you gonna have right? Jiraiya must have thought to go back to the village to Naruto at some point, but because of what he saw orochimaru was doing and what's going on with the akatisuki, also seeing how much trouble hiruzen has as is, he must of thought someone had to be in the shadows on hiruzen behalf, and because they don't know why orochimaru would wanna attack the village whether for revenge for not being picked as hokage or for the akatisuki, it make sense for jiraiya to come back In the konoha crush arc, which he did, jiraiya was the reason kakashi knew the akatisuki and itachi's hypothetical reason for going to the leaf, thus kakashi confronting itachi who is an absolute God at this point in part 1, might guy would follow suit and shit would have went south real quick for both sides. Jiraiya was following orochimaru trail he wasn't expecting itachi and kisame at all, thus kurenai, asura, sasuke and kakashi especially the latter 2 and even Naruto to an extent, got their shit wrecked by 2 guys with red cloud clokes, so some people thought jiraiya stayed away from Naruto because of women and perverted ways and books, but he was holding it down for hiruzen, but hiruzen was no slouch either as itachi was working with him and hiruzen knew why orochimaru came to the village, compared to danzo, jiraiya was way more useful to hiruzen, but it makes sense because jiraiya is hiruzen students, danzo supposed to be a friend though, great video.

Hanzo was dam strong in his prime, his ninjutsu was effective and very fast. I'd say he was a minato level character at his prime. Minato is stronger than the sannin because he's too fast for them and super skilled

Iruka, 3rd Hokage, Ebisu and Even Kaguya fell for this masterful jutsu. He broke out of a genjutsu that was cast by the best genjutsu user of Naruto's time. He learned the truth of the six paths of pain in his first visit to the Rain since he left decades before. If there was anyone that ever truly succeeded in tricking Jiraiya, it was Tsunade.
