eBay seems to have made lots of changes recently. This one, which surprised us too, as well as being able to make further offers as a seller even when you have some active for an item. And what happened to their search engine?! I can't even find my own listings if I put in the exact title sometimes. When you do a search for live listings you can find some stuff but go to completed and none show up. It is all very strange and coincides with lower sales too 😢
Frustrating! Let’s hope the searches don’t get as bad as Amazons!

Glad I wasn't going mad yesterday then. Accepted a counter offer and the item was still active and was able to send more offers out. Thought I had declined by mistake and lost a sale.
I’m purely guessing here but maybe if a few ppl have favourited the item & someone makes an offer it gets sent to everyone 🤔 so first to pay gets it ..

See i think its not fair once a offer is accepted it should have a tine feame to pay just because i may leave a offer at like 8pm long off wake up and see offer accepted but go to lay to be told no longer available ebay not given time for accepting and payment
Yeah I can see that’s frustrating but I think you can set it to pay straight away if your offer is accepted.
I hadn't noticed the update but welcome it as once people become aware of it it may encourage them to pay quicker if they think they might lose the item. Brings ebay in line with Vinted on offers.
It makes so much sense, eBay should be leading the way on this stuff though. Hope you’re enjoying your NBC glass!
I wonder what sort of message the potential buyer gets? Some of them won’t know about this change either. I guess it’s just the same as Vinted and should encourage buyers to hurry up and pay anyway

I feel like that is BS if you can ''gazump'' someone, AFTER an offer has been accepted. That's not fair. what the heck? Ebay need to sort it out, if your confused Simon? then iv'e got no chance of understanding what's going on with ebay!

Haven’t seen the film so that one’s passed us by. I mean, I suppose if I was a buyer and I accepted a sellers offer, and whilst paying was told it’s no longer available. But if I waited 24 hours before I paid and the item was gone then fair enough.
I hope they get on and sort it out properly.
Can I ask why you would not want buyers to pay immediately, and remove the option for someone else to pay immediately? Non-paying buyers are a pain in the ass, and used to mean my items were off the market for 4 days for a timewaster. Screw that! If eBay now leave the item visible, well, it's about time!
I think if we sold products with a really high sell through rate, we’d probably be different. But when eBay made the change to force immediate payment, we decided that we didn’t want it to cause a friction point which could lose a sale. @@Married2Reselling ah I see. Yeah I guess that makes sense, you're selling different item types (I'd been doing mostly fashion for about two years) so maybe haven't had as many issues. Personally I've always asked "If they don't have the money to pay for them, what are they doing sending offers on my items?", but then I was getting a lot of non-paying buyers to the point where it was an issue.

I like the new copy from Vinted policy re offers but eBay being eBay they seem to have messed up. I have a similar item with an offer and I assume that after 4 days, other people can buy again?
If they’ve accepted the offer and not paid, yes it’s 4 days until you can cancel, we usually jump the gun, relist on 3 days and cancel on 4
I have had a mix over last 10 days or so of some accepted offers showing awaiting payment and some still show as for sale. I presume it’s a gradual implementation by eBay to this new 'vinted model' I assume your mug has somehow got stuck between the two, is it showing awaiting payment? because all mine that are still showing as for sale, also don’t show as awaiting payment. P.S. Just voted for you.
Yep, awaiting payment but no longer for sale, doesn’t make sense. Anyway, more importantly - thanks so much for your vote!
Regarding the offers thing. It’s inconsistent… I just accepted an offer and it is showing as waiting for payment but other times I accept an offer and it’s not in awaiting payment, it’s like it disappears from the dashboard until they pay???
Weird… they’ve definitely still got work to do
Is it possible your first customer had no registered method of payment on file ? Just a guess.

How come you buy so many things for .........28p!!???
We bought a load from another reseller, there was quite a bit of it. It worked out to be 28p per item.
@@Married2Reselling Thanks for replying. I buy and sell collectors' stamps. Many box lots where you can only average out the cost per stamp. Fun and informative channel BTW. x
