It is quite special to sit in the tent, drinking coffee and watch you ride around on some of my favourite roads here in Norway! I’m hoping to reach Røros my self soon! Hate to admit it, but i never been all the way up there! Just spent time on the roads around Alvdal etc 👏🏻🔥 another great episode Tjommi, Nice place you found with the water. Skål
Skål Tjommi! 🍺 You are living the life, luxury life to be out in the tent 🙌 I plan to pack my tent this weekend as well, I have clear outdoor abstinence 😂🤠🔥
Thanks MB, that makes me happy as well and definitely worth doing this❤️ 🙌. I love these 12h riding days and ofc You get one with the bike. I take it alot more easy though when riding alone compared to riding "the race" with friends or alone locally.
Nature always favors you and you always find beautiful places hidden by the calm lake shores on late summer afternoons, I am very impressed with those pictures. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks my friend, after 12 h in the saddle it was nice to find this lake and just watch the fishes catch insects. I saw one of the ladys in the fishing cabins catching a trout at the late hour, around 24:00. I think it was her first or second try that evening 👌. I like to stop for some photography along the roads, the GoPro can not justify the views. The phone does magic nowadays and that is great since my heavier SLR. Afterwards I'm "happy" that my SLR was on repair, that saved me like 1,5Kg and the volume to pack. 👀🙈😂. Cheers!
Struggled a bit before I found this spot! When I finally did i felt well worth a beer or two! Rather late as well. I also felt a bit dampened since I had past the turning point, I didn't want to get into the feeling of it to have an end. The day after this I got very emotional, with a surprise along the trail that took time for to revisit. Thanks for joining Günter!
Nice video again....getting slightly jealous seeing some clouds and rain during your trip!I live in Southern Europe and we just had our 3 th month of 30-40 degree.
Thanks! It has been dry here as well, rivers, lakes, reservoirs are low but ot was a great temp for riding. I was comfortable with layering up for the cold temps to be July, colder than normal. I can understand that it is very uncomfortable with that kind of temps for this long period. Let us hope for a wet autumn that compensated for the dry summer. All the best! Happy to have You along on the trip. 💪❤️
Thanks JD, thats the main reason to take the time to document the rides, to inspire, which I hope I do. If there are anyone that hesitates to do the ride I want them to get into the justdoit mode ☝️😁💪🤠🔥. Cheers my friend 🍺
Thanks and cheers Scotty🍺. Norway has some nice town worth visiting. Especially on the coastline. But Røros is one of the incest in the highlands. Norways (mainland) coldest town in the winters.
Great vid. I knew I recognized the town from your van travels. Tie a line on a tree limb and wet it. Fresh trout over fire would be delicious. Drones are nice but hey it's beautiful without. 6 days in one evening.
Tack Tobbe!
A beer with oatmeal for dinner. Why not, you can do what you like when solo camping. Ending the vid with a recap and excellent photos is very clever. My riding friend and I often do that each day when at our accommodation. Good photos are always a plus. Have you ever been to Iceland? What a fabulous riding destination it is. Have a look at rtwPaul on his YT channel, best scenery I have ever seen. Keep them coming Mattias.
Goodmorning my friend! You are right, a trip with Bibbi would not have allowed oatmeals (probably nor 12h days in the saddle either). I follow RTW Paul at Instagram and FB, have seen some on th YT as well, will definitely have a look there as well. Iceland is definitely on my list. But to be Fair, Norway has more dramatic parts that is not included in the Norwegian TET, since I have been on many tors to Norway I'm fine with riding the less traveled valleys this time. Stunning views as well and alot less people, this 12h ride I only saw people in Røros town and a few in cabins, that feeling of solitude has a meaning in it self. I have close friends from Iceland and we have been on our way over there with them a few times, as well with friends who ride adv bikes but for some reason it seems to a future ride. I will likely ship the bike and fly. The week we have to spend on the ferry does not really appeal or the time letting me doing it. I really like to stop for some still photography since the actioncam can't justify the views, I had hoped that adding some of the photos could be appreciated. Next episode will include a hike that took me 30 years back in time! Cheers Graham! 💪🍺🍜
Stunning nature!... it's not allowed to go just a bit Offroad? 😵💫.. I'll stay in Sweden then 🤣.. again great series of traveling the tet in 🇧🇻👍. See you in the woods of 🇸🇪
It is! No Arne, it's not allowed either in Sweden or Norway. Normally I would ride down to the lake even in Norway since we are "in the middle of nowhere" but there was 3 fishing cabins at the lake, where people had rented them at their summervacation week. Did not want to disturb them and their time in the wild. I really hope to see You Arne and I hope You will have a great time in Your Stuga 💪❤️🤠🔥 Stay Wild!
Another great video Mattias, you have made such a good atmosphere in your movies. It have been great following your adventure on the norwegian tet. So many great places you have visit. Røros looks so nice, I need to go there sometimes, Ihave only seen this town in Pippis wintermovie ;) Maybe I go there next year, when riding the same route you are doing now. Ride safe.
Thanks for these words! I was thinking of adding the text "Pippitown" 😂🙌. Røros is really cozy, especially in a winter bed of snow. It is also Norways colder area in winters, it gets like a very cold bubble there in the bottom of the valley with no mild breezes from the sea. You will have a great time!
Nice episode, as always. pity bout the fishing rod. (last year I drove part of Swedish TET up north, had the fishing rod with me but ended not using it) ;-)
Thanks Jan, thats also an option like I did with the drone (except from capture the intro on the way back home...). I had e the rod with me on a van trip to the north though, never been fishing as much as we did Lapland ever. We got fish in every stream and river, totally crazy. (öring, röding och harr)
Oatmeal and lingonberry for dinner is perfect, the only thing That’s missing was some bacon, everything gets better with bacon. Røros is really beautiful, I have only visited Røros in the summertime. sometimes it’s hard to say if it’s more beautiful in the winter or the summer. It’s like saying which gloves that are best the right or the left, you need them both to really enjoy them, I have to visit it in the wintertime as well, so I can say that I have visited Røros 🤔 Imagine Eating bacon in Røros 😂🤔 Hmm , I have already done that,🤔 when I’m thinking about it I have even eaten kebab pizza in Røros. Two things less on my bucket list 😂.
Haha, better keep that bucket list realistically short 😂🙌 For sure some bacon had been nice, I was god with a beer sausage as complement to the oatmeal. Sitting in the hammock, look at waking fish a sausage and the last of that beer was not bad, not bad at all. 💪❤️
@@Braapncamp Yes I really can imagine that the sausage and beer tasted 🤩 I have a lot of things on my bucket list. Some of them are really easy and some of them sometimes seems impossible, a lot of them including bacon 😂
Thats correct Lars, it's the 40L BC Duffle. I combined this due to the large sleeping bag i had. But the 40 is a tad large. A 30L is probably better. Normally i use the 22 Stinger that comes with the R80.
