I'm sorry, a TAS completion of Desert Bus is actually quite unimpressive. The player can utilize save states to take breaks or sleep, and if he accidently messes up he can utilize a save state to return to a point a few minutes back to try again. According to tasvideos.org, it has a re-record count of 60 so that's at least how many breaks/ redos he takes (which isn't bad for a run that would take up to 2 months to record).
It'd be more impressive if a group of people traded off and ended up getting max score as that would at least be one playthrough.

During his run he slept in beds multiple times but he only did it every once in a while so it was still stressful, one time he forgot to sleep for like 25,000 blocks and almost fell in lava he instantly made a bed and slept after that 😂

I used to live an hour from Tucson and when he pronounced it like that it did bug me but it isn't an obvious word either, I was looking through the comments to see if anyone else picked it up, and you said it perfectly

There is a glitch in MarioKart 64 to get through a wall with about a 1 in 90,000 chance. This guy was streaming, and got it, but paused to retry due to muscle memory, and was unable to use it.
Imagine if someone one break through the wall of farland and escaped.

You can go past the farlands. The random terrain generation algorithm breaks down at the 12.5M block wall and starts generating weird terrain. You can go past, it just looks funny. The bug was fixed several years ago, and you can go farther now without the glitched terrain. Also, traveling in the Nether, and then warping back to overworld is 8x faster method of travel....

Even now it’s still infinite, there’s a glitch where you can cross the world border and add blocks on the otherside. Loads of people have done it on the 2b2t server

I remember back in the day on Minecraft when there was an invisible wall at the edge of a set size i think of the players choosing or maybe the seed effected it, that much i do not remember. only the invisible wall.

The size of the xbox 360 map is only the size of a 3/4 map. You had to be very lucky to even get an ocean monument or Woodland Masion. Sometimes, the world would even generate without a stronghold, but that was very very rare. It was easy to set up a small strip mine and find the stronghold without even going to the nether lol.

1:40 that isn't lag actually. What causes that is errors in the floating point rounding system. Basically at that distance the game can't keep track of the decimals at that large of a number.

How about Hollow Knight Low% True Ending, which requires 44 Hours of grinding birds in a room, or Hollow Knight Godhome Ending Low%, which requires the player to do an incredibly hard boss gauntlet with every boss in the game (some of them severely buffed) with starting equipment?

So to save hours of gameplay, you need to spend decades of planning how to bypass the barrier…
A fun fact about the 'lagging' for the farlands speedrunner - once the player got far enough away, the precision of floating-point values (that is, any value with a decimal point) degrades, where the game only recognizes integers (whole numbers, no decimal points), which is what resulted in say, smooth movement along the Z axis (left and right in the clips), but movement forward seemed to be jagged or laggy.

But basically when the game works normally (floating point values are understood by the game), your game runs smoothly. When I mentioned values breaking down, it just means it looks like you move one block at a time (not smoothly).

To put it into other words for people who don't get it (this is my interpretation at least lol), basically when you move (run/walk/jump etc) in Minecraft, the game code looks at your current location and moves you to the correct next coordinate. Normally, this is a really fast process since the game code can easily handle the smaller coord numbers and it can easily determine your location. But as you go further and further out and your coords get way bigger, the game code has a hard time processing where exactly you are, so your movements aren't accurate.

IMHO the Happy Hobbits no hit run of all the souls games consecutively is the greatest gaming accomplishment ever, hands down.
I would say there is only one run that is better, and that OtzDarva’s DS2 100% no hit run. He had to beat roughly the same amount of bosses but had the difficulty of having to face the DLCs, which are notoriously much harder than the base game

If u haven't know who is StacyPlays and Graser, they made a series where their goal is to find the FarLands and they actually found it on June 8, 2018.
minecraft had farlands ~12 million blocks away from spawn in very old versions, now there are borders in 30 million blocks away from spawn, but it isn't the end of the world too. Also, you couldn't sprint then.
