Carly’s emetephobia (and any influencers) brings me so much comfort… I’m only 18 but have struggled with it my WHOLE life, my mum used to mock me for it and purposely trigger me. It was so distressing growing up and feeling alone in the “what if…” overthinking. Couldn’t sleep as a child, missed out on school trips because I was scared someone ELSE would get unwell on the bus etc. as I’ve grown up though my friends are so respectful when out drinking or partying to protect me from potential triggers, it’s so lovely and knowing other people struggle too does make us feel a lot less alone! I still struggle a lot but it’s comforting to find other people who are like me. It’s such a niche and misunderstood phobia, I hope you struggle less in the future!! ❤️
