- Today we're having a look at Poly Universe. Poly Universe is a survival city-building game in a galaxy where planets are only slightly larger than the colonists who inhabit them. Think of this as kingdoms and castles in space. In this first episode we crash land on our first island and begin building a civilization on our homeland in preparation to explore the cosmos! About Poly Universe:
A tiny band of settlers land on a remote planet. With you as their leader they will either build a new civilization, or be consumed by the foul creatures which inhabit the furthest reaches of space.
In Poly Universe worlds are tiny but numerous. Be strategic in laying out your cities to maximize the limited space available on each world. Balance industry and residential buildings to keep your citizens happy. But don't neglect the defenses necessary to keep them safe! Here in the outer edge of the known universe, danger can arrive at any moment, and when it does it arrives in full force.
Establishing trade routes between worlds will allow your planets to specialize and share resources, pushing the boundaries of your civilization even further outwards. But always keep an eye on the health, happiness, and education of your citizens -- with nowhere to receive reinforcements from, your citizens are ultimately your most valuable resource.

its kind of like prison architect, but with a bit of uniqueness

In some of these games, the resources have to be in storage before they can use it. They can't just bring a unit of wood from the forest directly to a building they are working on. When you destroyed both storage units they had no place to bring the resources to before they could build another storage unit. It works the same way in "Banished". Not only that but if the storage is completely full with non eatable items, the people will starve to death because they can't store new food before they eat it. If it's the same in this game, always keep an eye on your storage and never let it completely fill up.

Drae, I'm pretty sure on your first run the reason the Peabs broke is because you destroyed the ship before the other storage finished building, leaving the Peabs with no place to store resources at all and that somehow broke their AI making them unable to gather resources with no place to store them

I logical explanation for the people ageing fast is maybe that world as a lot longer year than ours by either longer days or a farther/slower orbit.
This is pretty cool. While bridges are something I'd like to see, I think being able to fill water plots with land would be cool as well. Another feature would be freshwater lakes which form when sand tiles are surrounded by grass tiles. Freshwater lakes could be supplied by clouds, which are more common when there are more water tiles. That means you can essentially kill the planet if the water doesn't exist. Also, why can't we get a new pikmen?!?
Maybe this planet has a shorter year than their original planet, that is why thay age faster than the planet...

My guess on why the colony broke when the ship got destroyed is cause there was no storage spaces so no one knew where to put things or what they had

The Peabs' ages are likely based on the year of their home planet, which could be different than this planet's.

Hey Drea, long time fan, and because of you I bought the game, and im playing the heck out of it, but as much as I want to see you play more (in my opinion) you should just follow the game, wait a little for some bigger updates then bring it back. I'm guessing that the people broke because they rely too heavily on a middleman storage system. In their eyes, the items to build the new storage building come ONLY from a storage building (ie. one you build or the ship) and items are to be picked up and taken specifically to a storage location. Because the chain was broken, they didn't understand how to do either side of it, so both were just ignored. That's the best I can figure, anyhow.
Definitely a bug the devs need to work on, so either you cannot delete the peab's last storage option, or they can work without a storage building (albeit, less efficiently because resources wouldn't be centralised).
I'd also very strongly recommend they add a confirmation box for demolitions, even if it has a tick box to disable it after the first time seeing it. It's FAR too easy to misclick and remove something very important or valuable or just a pain to replace.
