.....simply one of the greatest songs EVER.....one of those songs that needs to be played at 11 on your volume dial boys and girls.....hard to believe it's been almost 40 years since it came out on 8-track...
Wow! Never heard this one b4 now..but its awesome..& David looks/sounds so Hot! Cant even believe it was over 40 yrs ago. I miss the 70's..& all the cool bands..& music.
I've been a fan of Ambrosia since the late 70's, and I've never understood why none of their harder prog rock never found its way to the radio. I have nothing against the mellower stuff--it was killer--but there's just a huge chunk of their great music that most people have never heard.
1978: WHJJ in Providence RI played this once when I was at work, and I called the station and asked the DJ who was that. At lunch time I walked into the city and bought the album. What a fantastic album!
I must have heard this for the first time in 1979 in Australia on a local radio station. I had to order the album from the USA, taking months to receive
Why did he leave? I also noticed that he wasn’t on the album cover nor was he on the front cover of “One- Eighty”. But then I do believe he played on “Road Island”, or at least I do know for sure he was in the video for “How Can You Love Me”. Anyway, what happened back then?
My favorite song from their album by the same name but never heard it on the radio like How Much I feel. I wish they'd remix the song with more biting in your face drums & harder guitars throughout
This song was actually written by David Watts in the early 70’s and given to a studio. He didn’t take them very seriously and he didn’t have publishing rights at the time. Biggest regret of his life but he’s very proud of it’s success. He even wrote the lead guitar. He’s a very talented man and I’ve been very lucky to be taught by him.
Seriously?!. No, songwriters Burleigh Drummond and David get the complete credit. These two knocked it out the park with this performance too. When music was still music with real instruments, real people and no auto tune.
silverfish...Look up, "The Babys." The song is, "Isn't It Time." Scroll down to the 7th video. He's wearing a white shirt with some type of scarf. Watch the ENTIRE video. Keep a close eye on his mouth. And at the end is where he gets busted with the lip synce- ing. Now THAT is fake. But this Ambosia video, he is singing it live. Keep your eyes on the bassist :Joe," right before the song ending. You see Joe signalling to the drummer , a signal that the song is coming to an end. Because it's live. End of story.
It's not only lip-synched, it's edited for time. The instrumental passage in the middle is gone. Every last nuance of the instruments and Pack's voice is EXACTLY like the studio version and that doesn't happen live. You have a tin ear and no brains. ruclips.net/video/VPYB-pPIh-w/видео.html

The guitar and bass rock and roll posing in the middle there is cringe worthy. Does them in really regardless of the the song. My esteem kind of unfairly trailed off.
C'est une chanson superbe, comme souvent avec Ambrosia. Par contre je n'ai jamais aimé les synthés sur ce morceau, trop envahissants , et la guitare beaucoup trop discrète, dommage 😔
These guys belong in the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame!
ABSOLUTELY!
I do agree. Nice Nice Very Nice…
I agree!
Great song but why does the Singer have to dance around like a Gerbil Abuser?
@@swiftusmaximus5651 Freudian Slip there Notooswiftus?
This is one of the best songs ever recorded in the 70's Could be released today and would be a Grammy winner and a no.1 hit for them.
These guys were the American band that mattered.
Great song! Shame this didn’t get more radio play.
Plus, David Pack...that voice is perfection!! Such talent!
And seriously, so gorgeous!!! 🥰😍💜
I could listen to David Pack sing a grocery list.
Pure Progressive rock at its finest.
We were all so pretty back then and the men were gorgeous great music I want to go back in time
I just love David’s voice.
Four great musicians in Ambrosia, 1978
Five! Don't forget David Cutler Lewis (Keyboards #2)!
Never truly got the recognition that they deserved. A favorite with other serious musicians . Smokin' band.
.....simply one of the greatest songs EVER.....one of those songs that needs to be played at 11 on your volume dial boys and girls.....hard to believe it's been almost 40 years since it came out on 8-track...
Mark Kalfahs It’s gotten older. But I haven’t 😁.
David pack is so hot and still has a great voice loved him them still do
David Pack still has a great voice to this day.
So, fortunate I was able to see them numerous times, and meet them as well. Always an Ambrosia fan! Sad they're not in the RRHOF! Well deserving!
Woo Hoo! I didn't know David Pack could move like that! Yowza!😋🥰❤️
Life Beyond LA is still one of my favorite albums! These songs stood the test of time!
Great Prog song written by Ambrosia’s Burleigh Drummond and David Pack!
Bought the LP in 1978....surprised more songs on this album didn't chart, but this was during the disco era.
Management didn't do proper promotion of the album
Wow! Never heard this one b4 now..but its awesome..& David looks/sounds so Hot! Cant even believe it was over 40 yrs ago. I miss the 70's..& all the cool bands..& music.
He just turned 70 and still sounds like this. I liked this look before the beard,
One more reason 1978 is the greatest year music ever knew.
I’m giving you a ‘like’ but my vote is for 1977.
This is the side of Ambrosia that radio wouldn't give air time to. Shame, it's hot sh1t!

This made the late night FM AOR at the time.
Heard them on FM radio
@@Coowallsky Yes; I heard it a lot on XKE in Ft. Wayne Indiana.

David Pack has a beautiful voice. Thumping song.
I must have heard this for the first time in 1979 in Australia on a local radio station. I had to order the album from the USA, taking months to receive
One of the best tracks ever! Damn, sooo good!!!
Very soulful and hauntingly reflective. Tremendous.
Thanks for posting. The most under rated American band of all time!
Chris North is in the video but he left Ambrosia when this LP was recorded . Pack also lost hearing in one ear during the recording.
Why did he leave? I also noticed that he wasn’t on the album cover nor was he on the front cover of “One- Eighty”. But then I do believe he played on “Road Island”, or at least I do know for sure he was in the video for “How Can You Love Me”. Anyway, what happened back then?
Wow... I love this video!! David is such a great singer!❤👨
but he dances like a Gerbil Abuser
This band was SO underrated vocally and instrumental
Saw them once on the One Eighty Tour. Great concert in every way!
Great song! I love Ambrosia and David Pack so much ❤️
Today is July 15/22 and it’s David Pack’s 70th birthday. Happy birthday David!🎉🎁🎂
Love this song!!
Thanks for uploading this video...it's rare video from Ambrosia..reminds me while I'm still in high school
David Pack..always the man
TY for posting! I love it! Have loved Ambrosia and David Pack since the 70's.
Best version of their song. Love this video🥰
❤ Love This. Wow. His voice is Awesome.👍🇺🇲
I won this 45 on a radio station call in when I was 12 - flip side is
Living in Angola 👍
Video tape technology was at its zenith in the late 70s and early 80s. Makes my eyes hurt! Great song, though.
Saw these guys open Styx in OKC. Never heard of them and was blown away. Ah, 70’s concert days were the best.
@hansmeisterschulz5941 Ambrosia and 70's concerts ... Amen to that 🙏 🙏🙏
David sure is handsome. This brings me back in time to a simpler life & what great music i grew up with.
I wonder how tall he is?
@@BonnieMoore-c5r he’s quite tall, google him.
This is strangely good. Me and the wife like it.. nice playing on drums & synth

One of the greatest songs of all time! Also,a BITCH to play, but fun as hell!!
LA rock from the late 70’s
I love this song
Is that David Pack singing this one too? I mean, he is insanely great. lol
Yes it is.
These guys were too good for R&R Hall of Fame.❤
Rocking song and could Dave Pack sound better?? Wow 🤩
I love this song, thx David
My favorite song from their album by the same name but never heard it on the radio like How Much I feel. I wish they'd remix the song with more biting in your face drums & harder guitars throughout
I can remember hearing this song playing at a party somewhere around Woodside Drive in Northern California circa 1978!

VERY Cool
Still touring in 2024..amazing
Yes 👍🏼 just yes
There’s a Gino Vannelli vibe, maybe cuz of the synths and the jazzy chords…
There are some bands that just don’t get the recognition that their talent dictates 38 Special and Molly Hatchett are 2 other examples

Absolutely lip-synced. Some bands can get pretty close to their studio sound, but no one duplicates it to the nth degree. Lip synced, 100%
Too short a time they were together with David Pack otherwise they would belong in The Rock and Toll Hall of Shame!
