I still can't believe these videos are free. Nichole your Beyonce dance is still my FAVORITE thing I've seen on skates ❤️😍 Also, are you still actively skating when you spin, or are you sorta coasting on momentum?
Thank you for your tutorial it was very helpful. Ive wanted to learn heel toe manuals for a bit now, didn't know where to start. I now know its all in the pop and 🏋 distribution.......
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I didn't think i could do this spin but because you broke it down in three parts i was able to get it!!! I mean i still need some practice but i get a good 3 spins out of 5 when i try. Hopefully soon ill get the courage to join one of the beginner dance class.
Nicole, THANK YOU! I finally learned how to do the heel-toe spin because of this video! Before this I could only spin for 1 rotation before falling out of it because I kept putting my weight only on my dominant foot. After following your drills, I could finally spin twice! Also, the best arm position that works for me is to put them behind my head like you would hold your hat:) I find that crossing my arms in front of my chest hunches me forward, making me stumble.
Yes ! I arived on class eight❣ still happy and following i love it so much.it really suits me. I am so greatfull i listent to my soul telling me to buy roaler skates best present i ever gave myself and that i found you to teach me..tomorrow i am gonna try this👍😎 i am printing now in my mind.. left toe right heal.. hugs from Amsterdam ❤
Hi Nicole! I learned a two food turn with you today and I'm so pleased. Thaaanks! Just to be sure about my next step - I come from modern/contemporary dance - and I ask myself how there is no spotting...? What do you do to not get dizzy?
sorta late answer but- i am a ballet dancer and what you do so you don't get dizzy is you spot! that means you fix your eyes to a point in the distance, typically in the direction where you want to end the turn, and move your head faster than the rest of your body. try to always keep your eyes fixed on the spot you picked and swing your head around really quickly. i'm sure there are tutorials on spotting in dance on youtube, it's the same with skating! :)
Loving these videos so much! So Happy I found your channel! I've been doing just half spins for a while but now I feel like I have the courage to do a full spin! Lets hope I get it right lol
This video makes me wish I'd persevered when I first switched to roller to really transition my skills while I could still remember what it roughly felt like. Spinning really is so much fun.
Natasha Estrada yea, you just have to try to find that feeling again. It will come back! That stuff never leaves the body...it just takes a little time to find it again 😊
Nicole, are your feet staggered during the spin? It appears to me that the skate with the heel on the floor may be an inch or two ahead of the other skate, but this is hard to see at the rotational speed in this video. If there is a stagger, maybe you can describe trade-offs relating to amount of stagger. PS - It takes me 10 minutes to walk to the bar, and 30 minutes to walk back. The difference is STAGGERING !
CycleTimeChart First of all, you’re hilarious, thank you for that!!! Second, possibly! The front foot (heel) aims in the direction of your rotation, so it will probably be a bit ahead of the other, you’re right!
Yes I love them! I can spin heel to toe for a few spins but I will follow your advice to keep the posture tight. Don’t know about you but skating is everything to me and i’m 49! Many thanks and keep up the good work⛸⛸⛸⛸⛸😀
Aah so the knees have to be slightly bent all the time?😮😮...I've been practicing the 2 foot spin 🌪 but I keep loosing balance (probably due to my poor posture 😅)...I really want to be able to spin like it's no one's business lol💃🏻⛸😭...however I feel like I have been improving ☺️
If i spin naturally to the right, does it matter which foot has the toe and heel down to better turn into the spin? You mentioned spinning towards the left so I'm gonna recap which foot was doing what. I would like to drill both directions as i learn, as i know the consequence of only learning my dominant side with my hoop dance. Wanted to learn too much too fast then had to backtrack to teach with my non native side. Sigh. Lesson learned if conscious about it drill both sides when learning new moves.
@@ThatNicoleFiore I wear size 10 suede Riedell's with Powerdyne Reactor Neo plates [plates are 8 ounces each] + wheels, -and grind blocks... So it all kind of adds up!
@@ThatNicoleFiore On a similar note, a video on the qualities of good wheels and plates for artistic and dance skating with like recommendations would be awesome!
Okay, so I have a quick question. What is the best way to prep for a heel/toe spin in a programme (is that what choreography is called in roller skating? I'm an ice skater, so I dunno :/)

the science you're after is the conservation of angular momentum, thanks for the vids
Wow, that’s rad!! 🤩

cupcake32009 yay, that’s amazing to hear! That’s wonderful! Oh, please, it’s so much fun!
This is the best tutorial I’ve seen of this spin
your videos are great, i love to skate.

Thank you, now I get so many things, your are an angel. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. 💕💕💕💕
I'm practicing this now I'm trying not to be wobbling and how do I control the dizziness?
After spinning one way, spin the other way

Best instructor ever!
TYSMMM I have always wanted to learn how to spin and finally now I can spin better and faster TYSM I just subscribed

Tatiana Moniz so happy to have you! Yes! Keep practicing!

I thought this was going to be similar to ice skates but it’s totally different!
I love your videos! Can you please do a tutorial of how to do a one foot spin?
Valerie Fragoso Thank you so much! Yes, absolutely!
Any tips on how to keep feet close together? I struggle with keeping my toe foot from veering away throwing me off balance
Great video!!!! Very helpful! Thank you!
Does anyone know what toe stops she uses? I’m looking for smaller/shorter ones that’ll be easier for tricks like this.

You're very endearing.
Another very informative video, love your energy, hey you have the same plates as me Roll Line Evo’s!
Roger Rams thank you!!! I actually have the dance plate, but the Evo’s are great!!!

thank you for this video

Yup! Always keep the knees slightly bent so you can force weight down into the ground! It’ll happen eventually!!

I just don’t get the dribble lol I’m 3 months in and needless to say. 🥲🥲🥲
Do heavy skates weigh enough to impact your weight distribution when you are trying to do things like camel spins?
Absolutely! But as long as you know your skates and wear the same ones while learning, it should work out. What skates do you have?
@@ThatNicoleFiore I wear size 10 suede Riedell's with Powerdyne Reactor Neo plates [plates are 8 ounces each] + wheels, -and grind blocks... So it all kind of adds up!
elliot bryant Got it! You should be fine on that, your legs and butt just may be stronger than most! Haha

Your description box has everything but what kind of toe stops you use! Lol Which toe stops do you recommend?
Ahh you’re right, thank you! Roll Line!
@@ThatNicoleFiore Thanks 😍
Hola. Subtítulos en español, por favor👍
is it easy to do this with outdoor wheels??
•jessica• yep!
That Nicole Fiore nice! looks like I found a new goal to work towards the next few days. thank you!!
•jessica• awesome, let me know how it goes!!
Can you teach edges
kelyn cunningham some edges coming up this Friday...at least a way to practice them!
I can’t find the other tutorials 🙄
Turns out I’ve been putting the wrong foot in front the whole time which is why I could do it 🤦♀️
Okay it looks like you are pulling back on the foot that is on the toes and the other foot follows
Transitions freak me out
one foot transition while moving !
