Throughout National Preparedness Month, Hills Pet Nutrition is teaming up with Hill’s Food, Shelter & Love partners in areas prone to natural disasters, including the Maui Humane Society. This collaboration helps ensure pet owners are properly prepared before disaster strikes, with the goal of keeping pets safe and out of animal shelters.

✅Pet ID & microchip: Make sure your pets are wearing ID tags and are microchipped. Most importantly, make sure your contact information is up to date and microchips are registered.
✅Shelter: Designate a safe place to take your pets, in case of evacuation.
✅Have a backup plan: Coordinate with friends, family or neighbors to evacuate your pets if you are not home or unable to do so.
✅Travel essentials: Have a leash, carrier, and pet first aid kit ready.
✅Emergency kit: Pack a kit with food, water, medications, veterinary records, etc.
