Killzone 2's graphics still hold very well to this day. There's a reason why people were blown away some 4 years ago. If you want a PS3, go for it; it's a great console, many amazing exclusives (like Killzone 2), free online, a d-pad that makes a huge difference in 2D games like platformers or fighting games, all good stuff.

In KZ2 Theres supposed to be a feeling of you lugging your gun around, unlike the more conventional shooters like COD, which is way more njoyable.. Your question was a bit fuzzy but the sensitivity will just make him turn around faster after the initial move of the gun is over

Good thing the price lowered to $29.99, so that people who don't have it, can finally afford to get it. I got my copy when it was still 80 bucks lol XD
and without a doubt these visuals and physics are superior to KZ 3 which only has slightly better textures and colorful scenery just look at the muzzle flashes and the general feel, how the bullets impact the environment and bodies, everything feels more polished and solid.
@EnglishTurtle I agree with you, besides if the controller starts to piss you off, you can always adapt a mouse and a keyboard to work with your PS3. Also, where the one dude asked about games not being shooters, you mentioned Uncharted and it's sequel; It's a third person shooter, so you basically putted them as a respond to someone who didn't want to see shooter -games. :-)
@PfcViksdalen the must have games for ps3 are uncharted 2, metal gear solid 4, god of war 3, modern warfare 2 or bad company 2,infamous, little big planet, gran turismo 5 prologue or gt 5 when it comes out, heavy rain . and there are way more games but u have to tell me the type of genre that u like because u might not like certain games. and some multi platform games
The 360 controller is a excellent controller for FPS games. The Playstation's DualShock controller is great for Sports, Fighting, Action/Adventure games, and anything thats not an FPS. I love the 360 controller because all I play is Halo 3 and Fable 2!
I agree with Kwasimoto down there, actually. Best game for PS3...hands down. I know MGS4, Modern Warfare2 were so played up and pretty good but this really is the best game...
@ingrampVII Because PS3s have built in Blu-ray players that allow for this kind of quality with their exclusives. Not every PC gamer has a blu-ray drive installed in their rig, a monstrous graphics card, or a motherboard capable of being overclocked. Besides, it's an exclusive. We aren't going to see Uncharted and Ratchet & Clank or the latest Halo and Gears titles on PC anytime soon. Mouse and keyboard is vastly superior to dual analog, but this game makes use of the sixaxis motion controls.

dude i would so recomend this game, its non stop action, really good fps, and the best graphics for ANY game out there right now. plus its game of da year thats proof of how good it is.
Killzone 2 is a lot of fun and I definitely recomend it to anyone who's interested in buying it. As far as how good it looks, yes it is amazing and almost pushes the PS3 to it's limits, but it's nothing compared to what Crysis is capable of on a semi-decent gaming rig.
Pablo Gabriel Strauss plays better maybe but it doesn’t look better. But it does look better than many more. How were they able to get such graphical fidelity that in my opinion rivals modern tech.
most 360+ps3 games are first made for the 360 then ported to the ps3. even though the ps3 is treated like an official release. technically, it is, but reallly, it's just a port of the 360 (or pc version if there is one). ports usually have worse graphics (not all the time).
Ive been interested in giving this game a go for a while now but ive heard alot of mixed opinions on it. I tend to stay away from FPS on consoles since ive being doing it on a PC for alot longer.
Kill zone 2 looks great.Both PS3 nad xbox 360 are awesome,but in first person shooters ,I prefer to use the mouse and keyboard since they 're more accurate .
Wish this was on PC or had USB mouse/keyboard support on PS3. It would make combat much more involved and realistic. Controller shooters are just so stiff. I don't want my character to move like a robot. Also, once you let a player aim with pinpoint precision you can turn off autoaim and increase difficulty like lowing damage to enemies and raising damage to players.
If this video pretty much covers the gameplay I must say it looks easy...but I like the animation and movement. Pretty smooth...but is really any challenge in that game? I want to know!
I don't think so. I for one have more fun playing FPS games when it's on the concole. I don't know why, but I love the feeling of playing a FPS with 2 analog sticks.

I own PS3/360 and i also own Killzone 2 & 3 and Gears 1, 2 and 3, graphically KZ is superior, but Gears has better splitscreen support. Both series are great, it just depends on what u are looking for.
i used to play street fighter 4, but i gave that back to my friend becuz the ppl who play online are craaazzzy good, i have little big planet, ea skate, marvel vs. capcom 2, but the rest of the games i have are 1 player like bioshock, oblivion, assassins creed, devil may cry 4. But i play killzone 2 and uncharted 2 the most.

Look up Demon's Souls if you like RPG games. But keep in mind it's very difficult so you might not want to bother if you get frustrated easily! Also god of war 3's coming out in march which looks like a cool hack n slash which I can't wait for
yep i do the multiplayer is awesome online u can play 32 people in a game and u can create a clan ( a proper clan, not like one in COD4 or COD5) and u can lead ur own squad as well or join one urself. Honestly, u cant be told how gr8 it is... u hav 2 play it urself
what're you talking about? The 360's architecture is nearly identical to a PC's (if not exactly the same). Numerous fact sheets and tech sites can confirm this. Putting this fact in mind, wouldn't you think using an engine designed for the PC's architecture would have already squeezed out all that it (the engine) could from the 360?
yes, i love this game too, including the online play, but i can't pass even the hard difficulty, just the first missions.. but i have this game and i recommend it.. OBS: the trophies are so hard, i played at least 2 months, and i only have 20-30% trophies .__. Good playing !
@Gibix no im actually saying that from experience ive played the game in full 1080p hd even though its not natively at 1080p and i expected it to look good but i was sort of disappointed with it because everyone was saying that it had the best graphics and some even said it even beat crysis which is why i got it but soon after i just sold it with my ps3 cuz i got bored of it
@kevin957 mw2 does not com edown to skill as much as cod4 did. the spawn system is set up to create an endless chain of revenge kills, an hitdetection has lagged more then cod4. cod4 there were no heartbeat senor's,OMA, or high killstreak. if you want competitive REAL competitive play mw1 search and destory
@eurekabach yeah.... BLACK was o.k but there were A LOT of flaws that held it back... my big one was the small story... not a lot of missions. and they should have added multiplayer and a few more guns

i find the cover system very strange. when you take cover you wont be able to see you enemies moving from a different cover point. when you get up they could be gone
Yeah man we on tha same side.Crysis is a polygon phenomenon.And its coming to 360/ps3.I don't know how they got the cry engine to run on those consoles it seemed impossible.
The nest-gen consoles ARE coming soon though, so keep that in mind... and of course, there's always the PC option, which offers a pretty amazing experience to be honest, now that I have a real gaming PC for once in my life lol

@Ezroable a modern MG-42 is called an MG-3, but yeah, that gun you are talking about in Killzone is closely based on the MG-42/3 design.
Recently bought the killzone trilogy :) just finished killzone HD, tomorrow i'll start with killzone 2, really looking forward to it :D

Killzone 2 is expensive than WH, but it has a kickass history and an EXCELENT Online mode.
IMO, KZ2 and KZ3 should have been released on the same disk. You just can't play one without playing the other. It's that good.

its a bit different with an uzi they can easily be used effectively in a pistol configureation

The nest-gen consoles ARE coming soon though, so keep that in mind... and of course, there's always the PC option, which offers a pretty amazing experience to be honest, now that I have a real gaming PC for once in my life lol
@WCCZags3 It's better not use it in most cases. It actually messes you up in this game if the enemy is close. Took me forever to figure that out.
