I have been watching your all electrical Eng. Videos. This is to draw your attention to the sc test & oc test of x'mar. I am in field of electrical engineering for 6 year where I have observed sc test but still not understood properly. Sir please make video of sc test of three phase transformer (1000kVA or 1.5 MVA). We want to know whole thing about the transformer like its % impedance, what would be ideal % impedance in India. ICs short circuit rating whether it is 50kA, 65kA(I heard that if we lower ICs rating the cost will be less & if we higher the ICs rating the cost will be high)& its losses. How much current will flow at transformer site if the ics are 50 kA & 65kA, when the SC is performed. Its cost related queries & accesories are also to know from you. We are keen to understand from you. Please treat this as important part of elec. engineering. Please explain following caption which I am writing here, we want to know practical example or the way you teach. While on this subject, we would like to state about transformer design: The percentage impedance as per IS is used while designing the X'mer by the manufacturer. For a given kVA capacity lower %impedance means the transformer has to withstand higher short circuit currents and their electrical and mechanical effects thus increasing the cost of the X'mer. On inquiring we were told by a manufacturer that for a 2 MVA X'mer cost increase between a 6% and 5% impedance transformer is as much as 15%. But if saving in losses is the aim then what needs to be specified is that the X'mer should be designed as per specifications of ECBC (Energy Conservation Building Code).
