@@SlyLad_NOL While I understand what you're saying, what I meant is that if he's in a berserk state, it would make sense that Orochi Iori would incorporate moves from XIII. It's kind of odd for me that a guy can perform complex techniques in a berserk state with near beastial mentality.
I actually miss Claw. I appreciate how they gave him his bloody swipe climax DM in XIV and kept the neck lift as a regular throw without the bounce, but even though EX/Flame is better, more complete, more rounded(hell he's like the perfect character in terms of mechanics pretty much), after I got a taste of the super brutal-visceral Claw Iori who practically tears enemies in half in some of those supers I kinda miss it despite him being weaker to zoning with no real zoning potential of his own. that Claw anchor damage was soooo nice though. I almost hope they bring him back one day as an alt of regular. Was something about how they made his style without the jewel so powerful looking to hit home that he didn't need the clan jewel to ruin anyone.
I'll always prefer Iori XII from regular Iori. He's a very simple-minded character. All his specials are straight forward and are easily cancelable into each other. He's a very good character to practice combos. And the brutal style of pure claws makes him deliciously savage.

I do it on purpose to be stylish. Basically showing that even though I spend time whiffing the command grab, I still have enough time to recover and continue the juggle.
I'm going to be honest. I'm not the biggest fan of Claw Iori, however, if there is one thing about this version of Iori that makes me appreciate it, is the animations. I mean just look at that huge bleeding scratch he does at the end of those supers. Like geez! Chill out Iori! This is King of Fighters! Not Mortal Kombat! You want to get into Mortal Kombat? Let me go ask Ed Boon. It just goes to show how brutal and powerful Iori can be even without his iconic flames.

For someone who's not that experienced with KoF, can you tell me whats the big diffrence in mechanics between KoF 13 and KoF 98 , i played quite a bit of 13 on steam and now 98 just came out and i would like to know the ins and out. ( Drive cancel works the same way? Any Ex moves? etc...) Thanks in advance.
KoF 98 is much more simple in terms of combos so you need to focus more on your other aspects. For KoF XIII, you can pull off very long combos. There's no Drive Cancels or EX moves in KoF 98. It's straight to the point with using your meter for supers and a few other things.
Hard to say. They both have impressive feats and abilities. Iori has choked out his world's closest thing to a god, and Kazuya has shot down satellites in space with his forehead lazers. They're both pretty fuckin' badass.
It's shown in the Tekken 5 intro that Kazuya is able to down (or at least temporarily incapacitate) several JACK-4's in quick succession, who, mind you, are made of metal, so the won't go down easily.
i never really understood the appeal of these games. every combo seems to consist of you carrying them to the corner for max damage. there's no variety. just seems repetitive.
That depends on the game and character but just to tell you, I did use pretty much every move the character has. If the game/character doesn't allow me to do more, then there's nothing I can do. I add some max damage combos because no one seems to focus on them and they're actually not easy to discover so it brings a challenge and something new to viewers to know.
Lets not forget that these are just combo videos. While good on youtube, these combos are quite difficult to pull off in a real game, as well as the meter usage being a bit excessive. For the most part, its just more practical to just set up for resets.
letsparty132 pretty much summed it up which I completely forgot to say. My videos are for entertainment, not exactly for practical uses but of course the viewer can learn something from the videos and adjust it for practical play.

Iori from 2002 and 2005 1h anniversary is the best tbh

Ironically, Claw Iori has an easier execution for high damage than Flame Iori himself.

I feel like if they ever bring Orochi Iori back, Iori's claw move like in XIII here is so suitable here. It's suitable for his uncontrollable state.

He loss his flames means he lost the power of orochi where he can't actually turn into his riot of the blood state but maybe dlc character will do

Iori's neomax is fucking terrifying, that roar.
Mirror his ending in 96
voice actor is better in XIII and in XIV the voice actor doesn't feel like iori. His roars in XIII sounds amazingly disgusting.
Considering the fact he’s no longer under Orochi’s control in XIII, it’s not a roar of pure animal instinct. He roars because he’s just that pissed
