- Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong released a video statement on Monday (Apr 15), after it was announced that he would take over as Prime Minister from PM Lee Hsien Loong on May 15. "I accept this responsibility with humility and a deep sense of duty," he said. "Every ounce of my energy shall be devoted to the service of our country and our people."

Cost of living so high, food prices so high, HDB as AFFORDABLE HOUSING is a joke, runaway COE prices with no control on car population, no proper animal welfare, people still suffer to make ends meet, a lot of young people are suffering from mental issues and depression, homelessness still exist, locals cant find jobs, people who cant find jobs are advised to change career which means one who is born in an average family is not allowed to have dreams..mps in sex scandals, minister in corruption case, the main drivers in SG are just money and power... the divide between the rich and poor is getting bigger and all that is given are vouchers after vouchers..

Can new Prime Minister, Mr Lawrence Wong, and Finance Minister review to abolish the Property Tax on the Principal Place of Residence for all Singaporean Retirees with little or no employment income? The property tax rate hike is too much and has caused financial hardship to an extend of impacting the lifestyle of those living in landed homes which they had worked so hard to achieve to a ‘poverty’ level after paying huge Property Tax hike. Robbing Robin to pay Paul from PPR property tax bill is sending hardworking Singaporeans living in landed property to the grave early, or forcing them to rethink of moving out to other countries. But they have to be able to sell their landed homes which they were born, have lived and brought up their children, this is so sad, when they don’t want to leave Singapore, which they have called home.
They won’t abolish property tax even if not HDB private property just gets you the house not the land it’s on

I hv more than shared my ideas.......if the leadership under LHL & even LW lived up tto LW's pledge of "justice & equality" he should hv contacted me about his FORWARD Singapore initiative. Much of the negative impacts and the harm done had been foreseen by me decades ago!!!! Just take the COVID-19 pandemic: I'd from the very beginning criticised the govt mandate requiring the compulsive vac with the Pfizer/Moderna drug, but was ignored with disastrous consequences as a result. I hv stated this time & again on social media & in my numerous emails to the various Ministers including LW, LHL etc. Sadly I can say without any reservation: "I told You so' long b4 the irreparable harms hv been inflicted by LHL/HC.

There is a real chance that Lawrence Lee and PAP will falter and lose even more GRCs in the next GE, making Lawrence Wong a lame PM.
