As a farmer, I would buy the property with 80 acres. You can always change a kitchen to suit yourself. You can’t change the size of the acreage unless you’re lucky enough to have a neighbour who wants to sell.
The beavers have been allowed to stay on the river Otter!
Thank you for updating this! We were worried 😅
Thanks for update. :) I was going to google to try and find out... from the other side of the world!
We have lots & lots of beavers in Canada.❤
🦫🦫 Yay!
I. 25 million quid, 3 houses and not one decent kitchen in any of them! For a couple intent on having land, personally I found the mystery house a complete waste of time, got the impression the couple thought that too.
I agree, why not listen to the people buying, we want land and a big kitchen.
@@judylamantia9741 As Jules (and common sense) says, 'No matter what your budget, you can't always find what you want at the time you want it.' They were shown what was available at the time, in the area they want, for their budget. They were shown what they could get. Do you expect the show to be able to just conjure up three examples of exactly what the people want? They wouldn't be on this show if they could find what they want themselves. It's JUST possible that what they want, where they want it, at their budget, simply doesn't exist or will not be for sale in their lifetime.
You could see the look on the husband’s face when Jules said that the mystery house didn’t come with any land. Said it all.
Waste of their time...
Completely agree! In other episodes where the buyers have a limited budget I understand having to compromise but with 1.25 million pounds, three counties to search in and basically only two demans (large kitchen and lots of land)... this was a miss by the team.
I've seen houses at a quarter of the price that had bigger and better kitchens than any of these. House number 2 was stunning; but again with a very average kitchen. I hope they found something in the end. Love Jules and his perpetual good humour!
That little white horse at house # 2 is adorable.🤭
i wonder if they ever have someone who just wants a house for themselves on one level without tons of extra bedrooms or maybe that is not exciting enough.
I was watching and thinking, 'Man, for people in a hurry to move, these people are moving very slowly with the packing.' Then realized I changed the video speed to .75 while watching another video. 😅
Although this episode dates from 2016, I thank you so much for presenting it here on RUclips! By now this couple for sure, either has found a place, or each one of them. Thanks Jules you are a gem! Loved the beaver on the Otter river.
The second house was gorgeous. There was enough space to work and sit in the kitchen. If she wanted a vast kitchen with a living room as part of the kitchen, you need a new build or non-listed house. Or you need the imagination to move the kitchen to another room. If they don't need the annex of property two, turn the bathroom/bedroom of the addition into a massive kitchen. I feel like this couple lacks vision to change a house to their needs. They should just buy some land and build.
I absolutely LOVE Jules reaction at min. 10:08 when he told them about the 80! acres of land, haha!🤭
Would have loved to live at the property 2. Beautiful.
love the outbuildings & the land with the first property !
I had no idea that England had no beavers! So interesting & exciting that this beaver family have moved in. 👏👏👏
Love Jules ♥️
Me too...😊
Same 😊
That guy is never going to do the work necessary to run a small holding. He doesn't garden, has no idea what animals he wants to raise and wore hard city shoes to walk around looking at farms!
Agreed! Some of these guys are clueless. Have Koi fish and bird feeders and think they’re going to stick a bunch of cows and sheep in the paddock and “I’m a farmer”.
actually I felt the same about this guy, when I heard him say about living in the Country :"I hope it is gonna be a more comfortable Stress". as for the lovely Lady, she somehow feels to me like eighty Years old. Is it the Botox in her Lips?
Who is going to ceep those big Houses Clean!?
Has anyone ever noticed that the "host"/tour guide" always wears the same outfit in all his episodes? The same jacket/vest combo, same jeans, same spray tan, etc.
Another good job Jules! A fun presentation.
👍👍👍 Real full episode including end credits. Every episode of Escape To The Country should be of this audio, visual and editing quality.
Why do you copy and paste the same comment on every single episode? Strange..
It's the women who buy. She asked for a big kitchen, why did nobody listen. He would have compromised on land.
MYSTERY PROPERTY : from the outside it's gorgeous !
What would you want 80 acres for? All that money and they couldn’t find what they wanted . Not sure he really knew how much 20 acres actually is and how much work
How ironic that with all that money, ETTC couldn’t find a decent house for them. Of course, they were trying to please the man!
Once again loud harsh music makes commentary difficult to hear.
I thought Jules was a bit “testy” about them wanting land….showed them 80 acres, when they said 20. Big difference and with their budget he could have come closer to their wish list….imo…& why would they want to take a closer look at house # 3?
I think they may regret no taking that Beautiful thatched house ...but its just my desire I guess .
I loved house no.2, but that's just me
House #1 - pathetic. Lousy kitchen, miniscule bedrooms
House #2 - another pathetic kitchen, bedrooms are ok
Mystery House - pretty outside, so/so kitchen, dining room is in a ridiculous position, the bedrooms are a Tetris game, or hide-and-go-seek!
With the couples budget & wishes, these choices were not appealing.
House no 1 might be haunted
What makes you say that? Strange comment...
@@FigaroHey because of the ghosties
Does anyone really believe these two will become country folk? I can’t see her doing anything and he has grand plans but knows nothing about keeping land nor about keeping animals! 😔😔😔
I really wish they had follow-up episodes or a clip at the end to show us where the house hunters end up.
All three homes are beautiful. I liked mystery house the most for me but house two is more for them.
The decision abour the beavers on river Otter was made in 2020 and they were allowed to stay and continue to live and expand their territory naturally. 🦫 🤩👍
