- Booting up a Pentium 4 PC with Windows 98SE + Diablo 1 Gameplay | IDE SD Drive Setup
In this video, I’m firing up a vintage Pentium 4 machine running Windows 98SE for some classic Diablo 1 action! The PC is equipped with an IDE SD drive, which allows for quick and easy switching between different operating systems without the usual hard drive noise. This setup is perfect for nostalgia, as it supports both Windows 98SE and Windows XP for retro computing and gaming.
Watch as I dive into Diablo 1, showcasing the smooth performance and unique charm of this iconic game on a classic setup.
If you're a fan of retro PC games or just love seeing old-school hardware in action, this video is for you!

Ah fresh nostalgia. 5:15 this never fails to give me goosebumps whenever I revisit Diablo 1. CRT monitors are so nice and comfy.
Love this! Feel free to check out the Discord we have if you wanna chat retro games. I revisit D1 a lot haha I just can't help myself.
@@retroshowcase I don't use discord that much but I gave you a sub, you've got some really nice videos. I didn't even know that there was a Samurai Champloo game for the PS2 until now.
Love this dude. I've done so many diablo 2 challenge runs this is really giving me the motivation to head back to 1. Thanks for sharing!
Do it! and record it... i'd watch that - Feel free to pop by the Discord if you wanna chat more :) dsc.gg/retroandpim Happy gaming homie!
The original Diablo is still a great game for being 27 years old. One of those games that has great replay value especially for the nostalgia. I still have my original Battle net account created in 1997. Though playing with a friend was a novel idea and it was fun to an extent, offline single player will always be the preferred way.
It's great any way you play it for sure!!!
It is a dream of mine to build a machine like this specifically for Diablo I & II and StarCraft. Any tips you have for that out there?
I think you can get lucky and find a build that someone is selling --- or make a list of parts you want and start part hunting. I find sometimes on markets people will sell lots of old parts that have 1 or 2 things you might need. Honestly... You just have to search... a lot :) But eventually what you want will come up.
