I used a different app for desktop many years ago that started off entirely free until they later decided to pull a switcheroo and charged more than I could justify paying yearly. CLZ is way less expensive and is also able to be taken with you since it's a smartphone app. You went over so much, in such detail, that I learned more about how CLZ works than anywhere else I've seen on or off RUclips. Thank you!
Just found your review when searching for a CLZ review! Cool video definitely going to give this app a try. All my life I’ve been writing them on my computer but this appears to make it simpler!
The CLZ app is amazing. So much and not expensive. And a very good, friendly and quick helpdesk. A great app for comic lovers in the world! And thnx for the great review!
Awesome. I use League of Comic Geeks. It’s been mostly reliable. Every once in a while it won’t have a comic but it keeps a pretty accurate list of the comics I own. Plus it’s free so yay
Good video ! I just started using this app it's a good app . One thing you never said about it it's not free to use . It has a monthly or yearly fee to use
Thank you for this review, very helpful. I’ll be subscribing to CLZ for sure. Another big point for me (and for those concerned) - you can export to CSV/text file. This is very important for editing in excel and keeping your data even if the app is unavailable one day.
I really like CLZ Comics and have been using it for over a year... game changer! The most recent update was really good. Thanks for putting up content. Keep it up!
I just subscribed to this app. Enjoying it already. You can be as basic as you like or go into serious details for your titles. My husband and I have been using the traditional Book Collectorz program for our 4,000 plus book library for several years and have NO complants. Fair price for stellar organization. I'd like to k ow if you have anyfurther tips on cataloging within the app. As we're relativily newer to comics, some of the fields do go over our heads. Thank you for reviewing this awesome app.
CLZ is great, and they have been upgrading with their updates constantly and consistently. The subscription is worth it. The only real criticism I have is having to individually confirm every duplicate copy. There should be a way to just be able to say, confirm all duplicates or something, or a "don't ask me again" option.
Hi BJ Kicks. Great video. I have a few thousand comics I want to create a collection for. I was wondering if you knew of any software that can just scan the front cover of a comic book(via mobile camera) and add it to a collection. Do you know of anything like this, or have any suggestions? I have a lot of comics that don't have barcodes.
Does this do trades and collected edition books too? Most my collection is a full bookshelf of trades and I only just started getting into collecting single issues.
I just got a tote full of comics marvel and DC from lats 70s-early 90s and I was looking at this app, it seems like it will help me catalog what I have, but once doing that, how can I check the value of these? I have a few of the Robin II comics with the holograms on them and seen graded they're pretty valuable, just not really sure what all I got here and how I can check the value of them easily
Love the video, but is there an app where I can scan my barcodes to keep track of what I have along with reading them, digitally? I have the physical copies but my job keeps me on the road, and I can’t take everything with me. Just seeing if there is something out there for me to read and catalog my inventory.
your best bet would be to subscribe to Marvel Unlimited and DC Universe. Marvel has a 3 month delay between print and streaming, and DC's is 6 months. But if you buy the issues individually via Comixology, they're available same day.
@@comicsaredope oh hey i didn't expect a reply, thank you for the answer. Also if you wouldn't mind, can you teach me what is the effective method to constantly check the price of owned comic books? Is it that website I can use for all of them or another one? I use go collect but since it only covers slabbed comics, are there are other better sites for all rounders
If you want to access/edit your collection both on your PC and via the phone app, do you pay for the PC or Cloud subscription and essentially get the phone app for free? Not clear on if your cloud database is available in any flavor of their app, and the fact that the phone app has a different price than the others makes it more confusing. :) EDIT: I think I found the answer, if you pay for the web app (Comic Connect) it lets you use it on multiple computers, tablets, or phones. So that's what I want. It's strange that the PC-only app (Comic Collector) limits you to only one computer but has the exact same price.
OK, what am I doing wrong. Bar Code or not. TYPE in Vampirella (warren) select issue. instead of being able to select the next issue. I have to Bar Code or Not Type In Vampirell (warren).....Geez Type in. And Type in the same thing twice. In my excel spread sheet I type in Vampirella once copy and paste from then on. I can use the formula to number the second column. And there I have it. 130 Vampirella Comics recorded in less than 5 Minutes..... In CLZ after 30 mins I had issue 4,7,8 and 9 added. SMDH.
Is this free? And where do you sell your Comics at? I have over 2 thosands comics. And a few from the 60's 70's and 80's. Mint and good condition.. some were pased done and other i've collect for over 40 years ago.
CLZ does have a Free version, but if you want to use it on your computer too, you'll have to pay a small monthly fee ($3 i think). I very rarely sell any of my comics. eBay is probably the go to unless you sell your whole collection to a local shop.

Gonna give that one a try, I like free, lol ✊🏼
Thanks, I'm checking them all out to decide which one
Not useful doesn't have Warren vampirella in its Data Base.
Created a CSV Warren, Vampirella, Vampirella#4, etc. Did 15 Lines. It imported it. Said Not Found. What the Heck. Warren's vampirella is not listed.
Everyone of these it is simpler, Easier and much faster to simply create an excel spreadsheet.

I honestly like having to confirm duplicates, but I see how it can be a pain.
I’m organizing my comics, definitely going to be using this now cause I found a lot of multiple same issues I had. Thanks for the vid!
Amazing! I've never heard of this
It's a game changer.
this is a fantastic review for the app -- much love, and many thanks for sharing

Buy what you like, read what you buy, and be nice to others. I like that.
Hey, watching this 2 years later. :) Does CLZ let you mark a comic as read? Are you still liking the app?
I'm using the 18 days trail and seeing this video helped me out alot
Thank you for this video! Just signed up! Super helpful
Great video my brother, earned my like and also a SUB 🤙🏾💪🏾
Yep....been using it for a couple of years now and love it.
Does this do trades and collected edition books too? Most my collection is a full bookshelf of trades and I only just started getting into collecting single issues.
Yes! You can keep track of your trades and hardcovers with this app too! Sorry for the late reply.
Great review! Very informative. Thanks.

I have a lot of comics from the 70s-90s and all of them don't have barcodes ( except for news stands) how can I quickly add them?

Does it organize them? If you scan batman #114 and then purchase batman #99 later. Will in put them in order?
Really good video. Thanking you from Uk
It’s amazing, keeps my books organized!
Really helpful thank you
Is there any way I can use CLZ to give me the total amount of my books by their cover prices, not what they're worth?
I was looking for a "tv time" kinda app but for comics. thanks for the review tho
for that type of functionality, try the League of Comic Geeks website
@@comicsaredope Thanks a lot man🙏🏼 i’ll definitely check it out
What is the companion app that shows non CGC prices you mentioned at 9:38?
It’s called Comic Connect. You can find it at collectors.com/comic

2 years in and my original subscription is about to expire........definitely gonna re-up

Thanks so much for this, SUPER helpful to me
Glad it was helpful!
Its a good app, but be warned there is no way to export your collection so you must pay the yearly fee or lose everything.
How do you mark them as sighned?
thanks this app will really help me i just started getting into comics so this will really help
Glad to help!
Very cool!
Binge watching ✊🏼
That's weird, I always have to type in the bar code.
Does anyone know how you can add creators and characters to the comics in the app?

There is also no way to ask CLZ a question on their web site.
I will pass, 1500 books and you have spent weeks organizing.
Is the pricing right on this CLZ app?
I believe it pulls from GoCollect, which tracks eBay sales for slabbed books only.
Is this free? And where do you sell your Comics at? I have over 2 thosands comics. And a few from the 60's 70's and 80's. Mint and good condition.. some were pased done and other i've collect for over 40 years ago.

@@comicsaredope Thank you for your response and your time. Appreciate it!~.
Does it also give you the value
They just launched a partnership with CovrPrice to provide values within the app
Thank you so much. I love your video by the way.
I am disappointed and overjoyed.... disappointed because I'm just now finding out about the app, and overjoyed that I now have it
Roberts Radial
So are you paying $1.49 a month or the $14.99 for this app??
I pay monthly
@@comicsaredope oh that's way better than paying $14 bro thank you your really helpful. 👍
